At this point, it's assumed to be Special Stage Route 5

Thanks bro 👍

I dont like when they change classic tracks for another with the same names 👎

How did they do that? Its the same track, just improved for GT5.

After playing the demo yesterday, it reminded me again how Tokyo R246 seems not the final build, the lack of spectators & race officials. The curiosity is the track has been out in most demos for about a year & PD hasn't simply added this detail. It's making me think that this track might be getting other changes such as a Day/Night version (a big leap).

Another Premium track, Daytona which I spent a lot of time at in real life, seems a bit empty without all the RV's, a bit more like track test day with the infield empty. I am thinking more detail will be added to this track in it's final build.

Kazunori Yamauchi mentioned at Gamescom that the "20 locations, 70 variations" adds up to about 70 tracks total. Whether the 70 includes reverse courses I don't know. Reading other replies, the GT5P menu does show tracks weather conditions and what not from Silverstone and Hokenheim. (Excuse spelling if I spelled Hokenheim wrong.) If anything, we can expect any track that is added to be beautifuly remade and as accurately represented as an aerial picture of the track itself.

I dont get the point why PD did include NASCAR, I mean they won't include the WHOLE championship with all the TRACKS, so it's just like an incomplete feat, not to mention all the development time it took to made the cars/oval tracks.

Just two word: american market.
And as Kazunori said they wanted to include as many motorsports as possible.

they won't include the WHOLE championship with all the TRACKS, so it's just like an incomplete feat, not to mention all the development time it took to made the cars/oval tracks.
Please stop complaining, I don't see the need of it. You don't even know the exact amount of features/tracks/rules/cars/pilots for Nascar in GT5.

If you want a COMPLETE Nascar game go buy one.

Why include any racing cars from various series then? We have DTM, F1, Super GT, WRC etc cars. Nascar license was open and (apparently) Nascar approached PD, which can't hurt Gran Turismo sales in the US anyway.

Hey what about the Stelvio Pass? I know a lot of people forgot about it, and it was definitely confirmed through some analysis. Why isn't it on the list?

It was in the FT 86 Concept video.

And what tracks are these? I'm not really a track expert but they just don't look familiar.. They aren't Monza, Madrid, or Rome, and otherwise they look unfamiliar

It was never confirmed, only thing confirmed was many road features (signs, railings etc) matched northern Italian roads, not Stelvio Pass particularly. The WRC (GT5 has confirmed license) rally stage held in northern Italy also has these features but I wouldn't call that confirmed either.

Infact these features could also be part of the course maker theme options and the course we saw in the FT86 could be a random generated course.

I think the "Italian mountain road" scenery that we thought was the Stelvio Pass might be somewhere else in Switzerland. Thinking about it, there already are some PD-modeled tracks with a swiss scenery, plus some others that we supposedly haven't seen yet.

As far as I'm aware it wasn't actually verified although apparently a tunnel and its surrounding area provided a match (I never saw this though). Plus the road signs and the barriers were very similar to Stelvio as well. However, the road is much wider and the area just seems to resemble the Swiss Alps area quite generally and not specifically the Stelvio IMO. It could simply be a created course from the course creator and not necessary the Stelvio. So unless someone has some visible proof of matches I'd say it's definitely not confirmed just yet. At this point I'm almost certain it's a course maker custom course.
