There's still millions of people that actually DO care about the Veyron; not caring it's not the fastest production car anymore, believe me.

I couldn't care less about the Veyron because it has the fastest top speed but it is one of the slowest accelerating cars on the hyper car market for the money as well as being pretty much a two trick pony given it only does two things well a)it's fast (on top speed only) b) It looks errrrmmm.... well, different. What can I say it's a bloated VW Beatle on serious steroids. If VW corporate had made the Nardo W12(test bed for the W-type engine) instead of the Veyron I would have liked it so much more because though it looked like a knock of S7 it was still good looking and by all accounts could have been every bit as fast as the Veyron, half the weight and most likely handled WAYYYYYY better.

And who says the Nardo could've been as fast as the Veyron with half the weight? If Volkswagen could halve the weight of the Veyron and still have a car just as fast with the same AWD system don't you think that they'd be doing that?
And about the handling. Just because the car handles like an absolute tank in GT5 doesn't mean it's the same in real life, at all. It has poor representation in games because being heavy and AWD usually ends up in a lot of understeer. I've seen videos of the Veyron, and it is extremely nimble for it's size. The Super Sports still has the record for the fastest production car as well.
At the end of the day, the Veyron is an amazing technological wonder and whilst it may look sub-par and it might be expensive, it is just Volkswagen showing us what the richest car company in the world is capable of.

^ there are faster accelerating street legal production cars. Companies are horrible about having an excellent concept then ruining it. Cases in point Viper, Carroll Shelby helped design it but had his name pulled from it due to the fact that the car he helped design was a true successor to the Shelby Cobra, Dodge created a car that had no options and it weighed twice as much as the concept.
The Veyron was a great idea but they watered it down to much for it to meet the expectations after its fruition.
Btw: The Ariel Atom V8 is the fastest accelerating Road legal car on the planet.
