CorvetteConquer I'm back to GT5, I won't update 2.12 any time soon, and most important you just won the internet, probably once again. 👍

If you pronounce MR2 in French you say 'emerdeu', which sounds like the French pronounciation of the word "Merde", which is the French word for s:censored:t.

I agree with Jahgee, those memes are not really thaat funny, most are either plain or need to be explained. :indiff:

CC, your memes are awesome as always. And I love the Kaz vs cat story up there!

What has that got to do with gt5?

Rabbit season lasts for 365 days a year. What's your point?

Chase the rabbit is basicaly what is done in GT5, instead of racing.
It's called like that since there's always a car that's in front which also happens to be the fastest of the AIs in the pack.
And the racing in GT5 almost always revolves around starting from last or from the middle of the pack, get past the moving chicanes/roadblocks known as AI, and finaly, reach and overtake the leader (a.k.a the rabit) in a lap or set of laps, to win.

PD probably does this because they know their AI coding sucks, which leads to a lack of proper racing...

And thus a total lack of immersion. Racing a Bugatti Veyron against 11 small French hatchbacks isn't fun. It's stupid. Just because a car might meet several of the regulations, doesn't mean the car should be able to compete with other cars. In this case, the Bugatti Veyron is French, so therefore it can face with other French cars because it fits the regulations.

But the game isn't forcing you to do that, you willingly chose to enter that race with that car because it fit those regulations.

But I should not have been able to do that in the first place.

It always is a "catch the rabbit" game. And I'm not only talking about the seasonals either. It also happens on the Arcade Mode.
Pick whatever car. The game will pick cars based on your chosen car's PP, and that leads to the exact same thing as the seasonals.

I actually tried messing around the secret menu to try and get a closer pack and no rabbits. Well... no luck at all.
Even with cars roughly with the same PP there's always a rabbit. It was useless.

So, I guess that's the only way the AI can be even mildly competitive...
And not to mention the physics for the AI is diferent from the human players', which could be giving the rabbit car some boost.

I bet that's the reason why there's no standing starts for offline, except for the 2 player split screen, which, (surprise, surprise!) involves no AI.

PS: Why do I say the physics are different? If you havent noticed yet, then try ramming one AI car with different intensities and see how they react, and how you react to the crash. It almost seems like they're on rails or glued to the road, sturdy as hell...

PPS: I'm sorry for the offtopic posts. Do continue posting Memes.

Kazunori doesn't do board meetings - but if he did...

I'm trying with practice and one-make races, the rabbit run is shorter here, usually 3 or 4 seconds to the mid-pack and most important, you have the standing start. As you know AI in GT mode have the "give up the fight" script but with some proper downtuning racing can be interesting. The slower your car is the more chances to battle some AI.

But it shouldn't be like that. The game itself should make the racing interesting for the player. If it doesn't, it's not a good racing game, in my opinion.

There are some driving sims/games I've played which do it right (rFactor, GTR2 and F1 Championship Edition come to mind). You just select the dificulty and the AI will race accordingly.

With GT5, with the agressiveness at 10 (the maximum) and at the hardest Arcade dificulty, it's still too slow.
Slow... Seems more like it doesn't want to race. Letting the player overtake cordially by slowing down...
Feels more like a trackday than an actual race.

But I guess I should've known...
The logo does say "The Real Driving Simulator", and not The Real Racing Simulator.

PS: Again, I apologise. This is my last unrelated post
