PS - the OP said something about 32 slot private lobbies - is it really true? Wow, that'll be so uber, can you imagine an online endurance race with 32 cars? Just imagine if we can do time-based online races... who would say yes to a yearly 24-hour competition between GT forums? 4-6 drivers a team, winner gets bragging rights for a year. GTP has apparently pulled off LAN parties before, with people travelling great distances to attend, so why couldn't that be done?
It's 32 person lobbies with 16 racers and 16 spectators.
Cheers 👍 I also believe I was in Division Silver once, with my old GTP-Tagged name.
But that appears no longer so. Guess I can't with my non-GTP'd user.
I used to be GTP_Ren831 and was in Devision 1 Silver, I guess this will apply with the shorter name, too (?). What won't apply is finding me in Div 1 again in GT5, but I'm looking forward to what's on our way! 👍
I did not see any specific info on what options are available to a race host ("boss") in the first post. has this info been announced by Sony/PD?
(I am probably blind, deaf, and dumb!)
I hope like in other PC racing sims that the host can choose what specific cars and/or car classes can be allowed in his race?
Q: Is there the ability to make regulations for an online race for specific cars with specific modifications or tuning restrictions beyond tire/power/weight?
A: It is possible to set parameters for specific cars beyond tire/power/weight, but no specific details given
