Don't really have much time for racing, I play occasionally right now (finals are coming up at University), but I'm definitely down for some respectable racing. Also, really digging NASCAR around Daytona/Indy right now :-)

Hey all,

Looking for some good clean and competitive races with my fellow GTP'ers - have found the public lobbies to be very frustrating (the 'lets all crash Zonda's!' club).

I'm not a great driver, but I won't take short cuts or damage other cars intentionally. I try and race fair - and it would also be great to have some highly modded little car races sometime if any of you guys are up for that, it's not all about the supercars!

Thanks, look forward to seeing some of you online.

I plan on being online as much as possible this weekend, so sure. Please add me if you want to have a crack at it. Anyone else is very welcome too - I'm still figuring out all the GT Community features, but I think it may take some GT Planet style organisation for it to be fair.

Any testing of this concept planned this weekend?

This is exactly the reason for the list of GTPers PSN ID's I've compiled in the first post 👍 Open lobby public rooms, especially the lower and middle classes, are always going to be a bit hectic to say the least which is why it will be more fun to race with fellow members

I'm sure people will make their own arrangements for organising trackdays and race sessions but I'm more than happy for it to be done in this thread. Feel free to announce when you are going to host a session in your own "My Lounge" with details of the format and current attendees. A useful tool for providing start times across different times zones is this site > http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedform.html

I'll keep updating the list in the first post when time allows but as it is already greatly exceeds to size limit of the PS3 friends list I feel it is becoming less relevant and it makes more sense to add people you know are active and online at the same time as you by discussing it in the forums.

Also below are some pointers for arranging your own sessions.

  • Don't forget to favourite your car(s) which you wish to use in order to be able to use them online.
  • Attendees will need to add the host's PSN ID to their PS3 friends list so they can join the hosts "My Lounge" via community in GT Life.
  • If you are joining a track day once you are in the "MY Lounge" hit go to track when ready then hit Free Run but not Start Race.

looking for online friends to use community features and private race with

psn: Samzaaa

would be greatful for all adds

Many thanks, Neal.

Given that the GT5 online facilities aren't packed with features yet and this thread is very useful for overcoming that, any chance it might be 'stickied' to the top of the main GT5 threads page so all users can find it easily?

(On a side note - How do you get your garage cars to use online. I was in my Prelude Type S went online and the car want appropiate so i wanted my EK9 tuned. But it wasnt there. I read you have to select it for online but you cant use it offline and vice versa.
Any help? This thread semed most relative and i cannot open a new thread myself.)
