Exploit, cheating, or whatever, those two cars in the example video aren't exactly great drift cars. It's not like you can drift them in a better way, covering more wide distances. If we're talking about actual, "driftable" cars, and you still see people doing that, then that's where it's silly.

Then again, to use those cars in the first place is already silly. Might as well use the carriages in GT4.
