This is why i am hoping that Kaz tells us what the 5 stealth cars that come with the CE are. So i can to determine whether i should pre-order another copy or something. This would help also determining what pre-orders i should get (though i may only get one or two more then immediately return them afterwards)

The headstart is really NOT the issue here...

The issue is that you have too many different bonuses to choose from...

What if i like the bonuses Game Stop is giving away...
And
What if i ALSO like the bonuses Amazon.com is giving away...
And
What if later on, i realize Best-Buy is also giving AWESOME BONUSES with their pre-order...

Do i really need 3 copies of the same thing?
Should i really have to go through the trouble of buying from each store and return them all in order to get the extra...?

that's what i am talking about...

If it was just a keychain or something, i wouldn't care...
Having too many choices is bad? The thing with PRE ORDER BONUSES is that they are, I think, NEVER, something 100% exclusive. In FPS games you get a gun in the beginning of the game as opposed to the end. In GT5 you get a car at the beginning of the game that you won't be able to recreate til after you have earned enough. In the end, it doesn't matter where you pre order cause you'll have all the cars anyway by progressing. PD will probably make the cars free after a couple of months anyway.
In the end it's your money so do with it as you wish. No point in complaining about how stores decide to make their money.

Oh brother. Am I the only one who'd be excited about choosing something that not everyone would have, and racing people who would have different? You guys are just upset that you can't have everything.

Anyway, they'll probably not be exclusive anyway, as it's been said.

Is this topic about GT5 or GT5 CE?
Will i get all cars + all bonus cars if i buy GT5 CE?
If yes than the topic here is not important for me

you are right guy XD but if I don't have all cars then I will have a bad feeling XD (the sls ,mcl f1 and nascar car are really not special but i must get them :])

Well...Gamestop lists their pre-order bonus cars on BOTH the regular and Collector's Editions which would imply that the Collector's Edition people get the bonuses as well.

If you get the CE whether you pre order or not from Gamestop you will get x5 of those "steal" liveried cars like the SLS and Mclaren F1. You would have to pre order though to get the Nascar though.

SuperShouden,J-PaP thanks for the informations
I think I will pre-order GT5 CE ,because i will get the 5 stealth cars and the Nascar car is not important for me

thanks , ICEMAN_ZIDANE

I like the way GRID featured a number of pre-order cars. The play.com Aston Martin DBR9 was very useful for me, and you unlocked all of them in the end anyway. Something like that in GT5 would be nice. Although actually custom pre-order liveries would be a great way to show off online :)

I think your idea of a pre-order livery/liveries would be great!

full car gt5 decals for SR focus

U mean RS & I hope you mean the LeMans styled RS's that just came out. They look amazing! Also thats 5 cars.

Still only Gamestop and Amazon announcing pre-order cars. We know the Nissan GT-R Vspec GT500 will be available from somewhere. that would leave two more stealth cars to discover and who knows how many more NASCARs are waiting to be unveiled

check out GameStop's online store or search Amazon for GT5.

Amazon has a "Stealth" Mercedes SLS and Gamestop has a "Stealth" McLaren F1 and a GamStop/GT5 liveried #20 NASCAR.

the stealth cars are just carbon fiber bodies with GT liveries, performance upgrades like spoilers, weight reduction and such, and tuned by PD themselves for maximum performance.

In the end it really doesn't matter. The trend with videogames in general is that the things given out to pre order purchasers and the like are then released to everyone with the game a few months afterwards. And with 1000 cars to choose from, I'm fairly sure I can do without a specific 2 or 3 that are offered through a specific retailer's preorder until then.

The only problem is if retailers start giving out real, physical bonuses. Luckily for us, though, those real physical bonuses (the model and the book) will be at every retailer. The rest is just temporary incentive to shop at X store.

Yeah, but I was gonna pre-order it anyway to make sure I got the Collectors Edition, so in the end I'm glad I got it at Gamestop.

Don't knock it until you try it. One of my most treasured possessions is a pre-order feely.

*shrug* I was going to order at Gamestop anyway 'cause that's just the place where I buy my games. The pre-order cars are just a bonus.

These stealth cars PD are adding like the SLS all point to more custimization to me as they all have big old wings and other stuff on them.

Here in Italy at Gamestop they told me that there aren't bonus cars... But if I pre-order it now, and in a month will come out the official bonuses, they will give me them , aren't they?

yeah. The Bonus codes are usually packaged with the game. What happens is the store takes in pre-orders and then as soon as the game goes gold, the game stores have to get their pre-order counts in so the publisher can send them the correct number of pre-orders with the bonus codes in them. Now, of course, there'll be pre-orders up until the time the game is actually released, so stores usually order more Pre-order games than they have pre-orders for, and then Sony usually sends them a little flier thing that has the codes on just in case they run out of pre-orders with the codes in them.

I find it interesting that no other Pre-order cars have been revealed. Just GS and Amazon. But, if what's on Sony's site is a hint: Buy.com, Target, Best Buy and Barns & Noble might have pre-order bonuses, as well.

How about pre-order of limited edition in EU?Or I should import from NA?Where I can pre-order a limited edition of GT5?Please answer!!!(McLaren F1 mentioned in limited edition!)
There are three (two confirmed, one not so much) editions coming out.
The first is the basic game. It will cost $60 in America. (I have no idea what that is in British pounds. Sorry:tdown:)
The second is the Collector's Edition, which comes with:
•Gran Turismo® 5 game

•Exclusive limited edition 1:43 scale diecast 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V with custom Gran Turismo livery designed by Polyphony Digital, produced by well-known collectible car maker Kyosho

•In-depth 300-page car-lover’s guide written by the experts at Polyphony Digital, covering everything from the history of the modern automobile to driving techniques and game reference material

•Custom etched Gran Turismo key chain

•Voucher for five (5) exclusive high-end cars with custom Gran Turismo livery and performance upgrades

•Numbered certificate of authenticity

•Custom collector’s packaging

Third (not confirmed) is the Edition Ultime. I have no idea what it comes with, and it may be just a joke.:dunce: The price was around $200 when I asked someone about it.
BTW... I seem to remember you from Gamefaqs. (I was txrdriftking on there. Remember me?)

Been on holiday for a while and have just came back, does anyone know about UK CE or pre-order bonuses yet.

Well, see, there is this thing called "exchange rate". This varies according to economic conditions, and is used to convert one currency to another. At the time of writing, the exchange rate is 1.5422.

$60 / 1.5422 = £38.91 = roughly what the basic game will actually cost over here

Simple, no?
