GT5 Pre-Order Bonuses?

I was looking at the pre-order bonus on Play.com and I found this little quote:

"Cars may be made available as DLC through PSN at a later date. Codes will be emailed the week of release. Pre-order offers are subject to change at any time."

Meaning we might be able to download ALL cars on a later date?

Good to know that PD will state from the start there intentions.

What annoyed the Forza community the most wasn't the DLC cars but the way Turn 10 allowed the V.I.P status to be purchased from the marketplace. I fully understood this because it was supposed to be exclusive to the limited edition.

Given that this is exactly what happened with GT PSP, I wouldn't be surprised if that ended up occuring.

yeah. The Bonus codes are usually packaged with the game. What happens is the store takes in pre-orders and then as soon as the game goes gold, the game stores have to get their pre-order counts in so the publisher can send them the correct number of pre-orders with the bonus codes in them. Now, of course, there'll be pre-orders up until the time the game is actually released, so stores usually order more Pre-order games than they have pre-orders for, and then Sony usually sends them a little flier thing that has the codes on just in case they run out of pre-orders with the codes in them.

That's what happened with GTPSP. I didn't preorder but I got the Veyron bonus card anyway bcuz they had extra

EB Games was bought out sometime ago by Gamestop. At least the US portion. All the stores have been changed over to Gamestop for quite a while now.
For whatever reason, Gamestop still maintains the old EB Games website and you can still buy games there.
I would have thought the EB site would have become a redirect a long time ago.

Given that this is exactly what happened with GT PSP, I wouldn't be surprised if that ended up occuring.

I've read somewhere that the special cars in the signiture edition will not be available on DLC later. If so we US fans and those that didn't purchase it, will not be able to aquire them later I guess.

I'm really puzzled why the sig edition is not available in the US.

Possibly, it is to throw a bone to everyone else for the later release date.

I hope you can repaint these 'chromeline' cars! Because I don't want an orange M3, or a red 300SL. That Cobra though *drools uncontrollably* makes it worth getting the collectors/signature edition just for that!

Also, I think these cars should be unlocked from the start, but ONLY in arcade mode, not online or in GT Mode. If this does happen I'd assume they'd be available in the dealerships to buy for the same price as the standard cars! And none of that they're not allowed for GT mode or online! They should be, if we have to WORK for them!

I know Amazon are offering the McLaren F1 & Mazda 787B and Play are offering the Nissan GTR GT500 & Mercedes SLS AMG ... who's offering the Audi R10 & Honda NSX GT500?

As far as I know the chromeline cars are included in the signature edition, which is excatly the same all round the world! Maybe you should ask them in-store to check!

I just have to ask because...someone should know who reads this on here.

I really would like the 787B "stealth car", but I believe it's only available from amazon.co.uk, do you think any North American outlets will have it as a pre-order? Some don't list any pre-orders. It's quite confusing, in any case. I'm not sure anyone does know right now.

Personally I pre-ordered the Signature Edition from game in-store. Never pre-ordered a game before, do they text me/email me a day before to come and collect it or must i keep an eye out myself??

I've never preordered in-store but normally it would come in the post 1/2 days before. If you gave them your address it should be posted just with your normal royal mail postman. (The signature edition might arrive on release and not before due to it being quite a large package!)

When I've ordered before from a Game store rather than online I've just gone in on the day of release with my pre-order receipt to pay and pick it up, I don't remeber them contacting me to let me know it's in.

They have rung me if I ordered instore. They write down your phone number etc. But not everytime I have ordered have I received a call.

They even rang me one year because a game got the street date broken so I got it 3 days early 👍

Normal version : only the game right ?
Collectors Edition : the game ,Apex ,dynamic theme,chrome line cars, 5 car cards ( where is the Nissan GT-R ????????????pls give anyone a answer becasue after E3 PD said that we get a 1:43 car if we buy the Collectors edition )

if we pre order GT5 we get a Stealth Model car ,is the normal car in gt5 ?
like a normal SLS or Audi V10 ?
