I would prefer something tangible as a UK pre order bonus seeing as the CE edition already has special cars. GT stickers (like a proper whole sheet) would be nice, if they could stretch it a GT t-shirt would be amazing.

How about a GT5 book of the cars and tracks with some tutorials, tips. Photos and behind the scenes stories of the making of GT5. Some history of the cars and tracks...etc.

I don't care if I get a little toy car (unless it is remote controlled.. in which case go on), or a little figure or Kaz made to fit into the car, or a hat, or a t-shirt or whatever.


I want the game... and so if you made something for the game chuck it in. I'm prepared to get the game preordered or whatever in order to get more content. Of course this is dodgy for those who didn't know about the game or who have a life...

So How about this...

You get free download of content as it comes out including a few cars at the start. Everyone else just needs to pay for them




This is one thing I really hate about the Assassin's Creed games as well... you pay heaps more to get a little ezio, a box, a this and a that and a few extra maps.. ALL I WANT IS THE MAPS!

I like the way GRID featured a number of pre-order cars. The play.com Aston Martin DBR9 was very useful for me, and you unlocked all of them in the end anyway. Something like that in GT5 would be nice. Although actually custom pre-order liveries would be a great way to show off online

So, I already pre-ordered from Gamestop, but they aren't offering any bonuses. That AMG is looking pretty smoothe... I wonder if I might cancel my gamestop order and order from amazon instead...

I'm sure the Pre-order bonuses will come from the same places that GTPSP's pre-order bonuses came from. I'm sure Gamestop has a pre-order bonus car, they just haven't revealed what it is, yet...or you could just get the Collector's Edition

Those aren't the same, if they are, it's dumb since you get the pre order bonus for the CE as well.

Yeah, both the regular and CE receive the pre order bonus. I also assumed that the 5 free CE vouchers are for the 5 pre order bonus cars but when I read that, I started having doubts.

As far as I know, Amazon is the only place that revealed the pre-order bonus, and it is only mentioned with the regular game, not the Collector's Edition.

With the CE you get a voucher for 5 Special Edition, GT liveried cars, like the GT liveried, Mercedes SLS Stealth Edition

GameStop sponsors Joey Lagano's Nationwide car not his Cup car. Unless its simply fantasy, which might be all it is, it sounds like Nationwide cars might be included.

Could mean nothing, but part of me wants to believe that this DOES mean there will be a Nationwide Series in GT5!

I'm so glad that i pre-ordered from gamestop. Best down payment on a game EVAR! (now i just have to pay the remaining $2.49 because sales tax ) Can't wait to have a garage with a nice 7 cars to be downloaded on november second. I love the sales tax in Wasilla, AK being 2.5%. it's better than driving to anchorage just to get the 0% sales tax (gas money is not worth it)

Off topic: I can't wait to read that 300 page booklet (correction: BOOK). I'll probably read the WHOLE thing before i even think of plugging my GT5 disc in (i love how my PS3 doesn't scratch discs . Makes me love how i will probably never need to resurface them before the PS4 comes out)

I just realised that if all of the stealth vinyls have that white racing number box and GT5 has a livery editor, then i am so either adding "15", "5", or "666" in the box in the same font as the "5" used in the preview videos for GT5.

Fair enough on reading the book, but I find your comment about your PS3 not scratching discs a bit random and, well, pointless... What does it add to your obvious enthusiasm for the game?

Well... I like to be random... anyhow i may preorder other copies from other sources if there are more pre-order bonuses to be had. (must... get.. preorder... bonuses... ) Of course, i won't get more collectors editions. That would be a little over the top for me. I hate these practices... well actually... it depends on what...

I believe Game Content should NOT be incentives for pre-order purchases.

KeyRing, Cups, License Frames, Poster, Books, Photos, etc .... whatever that is NOT Game Content is legitimate incentives for pre-order purchases.


Why you ask?!

Because think about it...


Right now we have only Game Stop who is doing this...
So they gonna be racking up on all the sales of GT5.


Pre-Order does not benefits PD or Sony in anyway...
This type of practice exist to pressure the customers and making sure they only buy from one particular store/source...

Now let's say Target is not too happy about it, or Best Buys, or Amazon.com, because ultimately they are all competing for our money...
If each one of them come out with a special & different game content as bonuses to lure us to their cash register...

Then i dont agree, because as end-users and especially if you are a fan of a product, you would want to collect them all..., which means you either have to kill yourself over the dilemna of choosing who to buy it from (due to financial restrain) or buy them all if you have the mean... (but then what to do with all the duplicate copies?)


In this scenario, the alternative would be to buy the game from each store, get the bonuses, and return the game unopened.

Unless of course all those Free bonuses becomes available as Free DLC later on, then it's ok... but if they are exclusives, then it's just down right wrong...


IF the bonuses were only NON game content, then who cares, it's not as important... it's not a piece of the game, only the hardcore fan would want to get those items.

personally: i do not agree with this mindset, but that is all why we have our own opinion. I like the pre-order bonus because all it gives us is a special livery on a pre-tuned car (that you will be able to get and tune up). So basically only the livery is exclusive. I think this is pretty fair because the painting of the car doesn't affect our performance.

Off topic: Even though I'm going to start out in GT life with 7 cars, im gonna do it the old fashiioned way. I just want to get exclusive vinyls cuz sometimes they look very cool. (In the case of the stealth vinyls: i think they look very cool)

On topic: BUT, i still respect your opinion and can see where you are coming from. Getting a head start in the game is pretty unfair, but I guess i just like to get a headstart or just have nice looking content to start with.

The headstart is really NOT the issue here...

The issue is that you have too many different bonuses to choose from...

What if i like the bonuses Game Stop is giving away...
And
What if i ALSO like the bonuses Amazon.com is giving away...
And
What if later on, i realize Best-Buy is also giving AWESOME BONUSES with their pre-order...

Do i really need 3 copies of the same thing?
Should i really have to go through the trouble of buying from each store and return them all in order to get the extra...?

Well, the Stealth cars you can probably get all of from with the Collector's Edition's Voucher. The NASCARs...yeah, they'll probably be special versions of those. (Probably Gamestop, BestBuy, Target and that could be Barnes&Noble's car) But it's NASCAR
