Theres an offer on in Tesco at the moment near where i live, i can buy a PS3 slim 250GB with two free games of my choice and one blu-ray movie, for £240. (no i didn't misread it, it said the games and movie were free with the console bundle)
And with my Brother's 10% staff discount
Making it £216, cheaper than the Xbox 360 elite on its own if i've got my numbers right. (Definetly cheaper if you count the games and then Xbox live which i would require. I already have 6 PS3 games and a controller)
Too bad i don't have the cash :/ I'll have to stick with hijacking my brother's console every now and then.
Another problem is, i would need a new TV to play it on. The one i have now is old and only supports 50hz. Most games require 60hz now, my mate had that problem when he got his Xbox 360
So say £200 for a 26-32" LCD and then another ~£200 or so for a racing wheel and seat, its quite a lot. I could hook it up to my laptop monitor, but the adaptors i need are around £25 in total, and i'm not even sure it would work.
