boggissimo
I just discovered that you can't have more than 20,000,000 credits (thanks to all the B-spec grinders that have used my Bobs!). Makes it very easy to get the Penniless trophy, as all you have to do is spend your 20 mil on a Ferrari P330 (or Ford Mark IV or Jag C type). Result!

Or the X2010 if you'te at lvl. 40

- Human Stopwatch
Complete three consecutive laps with time within 0.2 seconds of the Best Lap Time

This just poped up as I was doing lap 100 of the 4 hour roadster enduro. Freaked me out, almost drove of the track trying to read it :-)....

Got my "air of experience" yesterday after 382 races. Another confirmation that it doesn't take 500 races 👍
Are people still questioning this ? The 500 races does not refer the number of races a Bspec drives in, but the number of races that occur, with or without him, while he is on your roster.

- The Air of Experience
Raise a B-Spec driver to the peak of his career
Train a single B-Spec driver until his "career" bar is filled - this takes 500 races, give or take.

I just did this trophy i trained the b-spec driver only him i didnt get that trophy
what should i do?

Keep going! Some people have had it trigger before the bar is filled, some have had to do more races after it has filled, it will ping eventually!

No, absolutely not.

All that's required is that you have ONE B-Spec driver who is "alive" (on your B-Spec driver roster) while 500 B-Spec races pass. He doesn't even have to do them - just be "alive" as your profile accumulates 500 B-Spec races.

All your existing B-Spec drivers will have been "alive" for some races already, so you just need to do some more. Firing them means you'll have none and you'll need to do 500 more.

I'm sorry i didn't understand anything you just said my english isn't that good

can you repeat what you said but more simply please :indiff:

I'm not sure I can. That's about the simplest way of expressing this trophy.

To get the trophy you need a B-Spec driver on your roster for 500 B-Spec days. He doesn't have to drive them, he just has to be there while 500 B-Spec races happen on your profile. Remote races don't count - they have to be actual profile races.

The drivers you have will have already experienced some races, so they're already a bit of the way to the trophy. If you retire your drivers you will need to start from zero when you don't need to.

Soo i just need to reach 500 races with my b-spec driver and reach b-spec alone
is that it ?

He doesn't even need to drive the races. He just has to be in your profile for 500 (plus or minus a few) TOTAL B-Spec races.

ALL drivers gain experience every time a B-Spec race passes.

Ok for now i just hire a b-spec driver and just leave it ?????????????

why i'm finding it soo hard to understand

Why would you do that? You already have some B-Spec drivers who've already been on your profile for some races and they've already gained experience from doing that! Just keep on playing B-Spec and they'll keep on gaining experience!

Just to explain this for anyone else watching who's a bit lost, I'm going to give an example.

Say you've been playing GT5 for a while. You've done about 150 races in B-Spec, remote racing excluded, and you still have your original drivers.

Driver 1 has been with you from the start. He's done 70 B-Spec races.
Driver 2 joined him after Driver 1 had done 10 races. He's done 40 B-Spec races.
Driver 3 joined after Driver 1 had done 30 races and driver 2 had done 20 races. He's done 30 B-Spec races.
Driver 4 joined 10 races ago. He's done 10 races.

Your driver win stats will show:
Driver 1: n/70
Driver 2: n/40
Driver 3: n/30
Driver 4: n/10

However, that's NOT what B-Spec experience is. The drivers gain B-spec experience through just being on your profile while B-Spec races happen.

Driver 1 has been there for all of your 150 B-Spec races. So he has 150 races' experience.
Driver 2 has been there for all but the first 10 B-Spec races. So he has 140 races' experience.
Driver 3 has been there for 100 B-Spec races. So he has 100 races' experience.
Driver 4 has been there for 10 B-Spec races. So he has 10 races' experience.

Their career/experience bars will show this as a percentage of 500.

Driver 1's career bar will be 30% full.
Driver 2's career bar will be 28% full.
Driver 3's career bar will be 20% full.
Driver 4's career bar will be 7% full.

If you retire them and replace them all with with new drivers, they'll all have a 0% career/experience bar and you'll have wasted 150 races' progress towards the trophy. If you hire a fifth driver with the intention of racing him towards 500, you'll get the trophy after 350 races because that will fill driver 1's career bar!

I am still lost Famine...

I am trying very hard to understand... but arguably, it's friday,
(monday would be even worse, and dont talk about weekends because my brain just goes to snooze)

Can we do this graphically?

PS:
my status are:
A-Spec = 30
B-Spec = 23 with 5 original drivers (currently 3 shared online)

EDIT:
Never mind Famine, i went back a page and read the original discussion starter, and now it all makes sense!

As long as i have one of the original B-drivers, and i make them race 500 times (whichever driver has their bar filled first) within the GT-Life game (offline)
(remote races or races hired by other players dont count if i understand), then i would/will eventually get the trophy right?

Where do i see that bar? i haven't noticed that before...

LOL !
I got mine doing the American Classic Car Seasonal on the Ovals, was very surprised, because this is one trophy i thought i would never get... i am not yet that consistant...
but i got it now, so it's out of my way...

They don't even need to race. Just exist while 500 races occur around them. I don't believe the bar fills quicker if they actually race.

It says "Career" in European games, "Experience" in North American ones. It's right above the "Wins/Races" caption.

I really don't understand all this.

This is the line you need to remember:

Famine
The drivers gain B-spec experience through just being on your profile while B-Spec races happen.

I'm currently spamming Sunday Cup races with one of my B-Spec drivers - A.Vatanen. Every time he does a race, all of my other non-shared B-Spec drivers gain one race's experience too.

Sounds like we're making this overly complicated, and I don't really care that much, but:

Does that mean that for every B-spec race, if you have 6 Bobs, you get 6 races' worth of career advancement?

No. You get 1 race's worth for each Bob - it's concurrent rather than cumulative. You need 500(ish) races' worth for one Bob to get the trophy.

Your description of 'Dream Drifter' says that a longer track will have more sections, but I tested Nurb ring Nordschleife, but it only has 2. Do other tracks have more sections? If yes, which ones?

Hay Famine, my bobs have over 700 races done, about 200 from b-spec and 500 from remote races, the carreer bar has up about 40%, so remote races don't count??

RE: Drivers who get experience just 'hanging around' the other drivers - could this help?:

drvstats2100_2116.jpg

As you can see Miss Kiss and Mr. Best, recent recruits to my racing stables, have never raced yet. Both are at Class 0. However - they seem to have lots of experience . . .

Every time one of my drivers - (AI AUTO-BOTS - none of them are named 'BOB' - that guy hangs out in GT4) takes a car out for a spin, these two lay-abouts get experience.

Is there a hidden trophy for 'Extreme Patience'? Famine gets that.

It's not that hard to get it on just about any track. You just have to pick the right car. I did it on Grand Valley with the Art Morrison Corvette.
