I'll still enjoy selling cars and buying new. But go karts only for platinum.

Anyway here's a top tip for you. I did my platinum and still have 99% game progress. That's because i didn't finish two endurance races. Laguna Seca and 24h Race on Nurburgring. both are in A-Spec so i guess to platinum you have to finish and win those races only in A or B spec!!! Not here and there, but still reaching to Level 40 is mandatory so either way i think maybe pointless clue but still you can leave some races if you already did them in B or A Spec. Someday i will finish those races to reach 100% game progress.

lol. i'll probably be the same as you if i got to where you are. wouldn't know when i would want to tackle those endurance races.

That's because duplicates don't count. You must have 250 DIFFERENT paint colours. 9 tins of red paint only count as 1 not 9

I'm aware that it needs to be 256 different chips. When got the trophy (and the number of items in the top right of the screen was 256) I had plenty of colours where the count was more than one, which still counts as one 'paint'. But I also had lots of individual entries that were all called 'Black'. They obviuosly count separately or my trophy would not have popped up right on 256.
Unless people are manually counting chips, and not using the count at the top of the screen, I still cant see how people are getting to 260+ without a trophy.

At the same time, the people who care about getting this trophy are most likely going to attempt to get the rest of them and will get the paint one at some point - login bonuses, buying cars for seasonals and not to forget, the 1000 cars trophy will all contribute paint chips

On the Watch for Falling Objects trophy, does anyone have any suggestions on what car is the easiest to accomplish this trophy with?

I've been backing my Ferrari California into anything I can find, at full speed, for the better part of 30 minutes, with nothing falling off. The rear splitter is dangling but its still on.

Any WRC car

Any WRC car

Thank you. I will try this out this afternoon and post my results.

BTW, I gave up on the California after an hour and 5 minutes, it was a 2 lap race. :grumpy:

The WRC car worked like a charm!!! Knocked off the door at the beginning of lap 2, of a 2 lap race, and still finished first.

On a side note, the game designers really screwed the pooch on rally racing. They have a ton of rally stages but not a single rally race/series in A spec!! WTF

Ok suppose someone gets all the trophies......what's the prize that everyone will get or is it just to get all the trophies you can?

I doubt there's an actual prize for platinuming this game, it's just for self satisfaction.

I don't think I'll plat this one, there's some license tests I can't even get silver on nevermind getting gold.

i had the citroen wrc rally car and put a turbo in it and put on the comfort hard tires. then i just went to indy with all of the driving aids off. i set my brakes so i had more braking in the back to help me get loose. i think i did something with the suspension but i dont remember. i think i might have lowered the front of the car and kept the rear a bit high. keep you abs low. use a touch of e brake to get you started in the drift and use throttle to carry you through. get at least 2000 points each drift and the last sector is long so you can get like 4000 points. or i also find that tsukuba is not bad either for drifting. or apparently you can do snow. that is news to me lol but whatever floats your boat.

and also dont just go do drift trials over and over. go to practice in gt mode and practice that track until you get a good feel for the car and track. unless you already have enough practice. then do drift trials.

I did it on Charmonix with the Citroen C4 Rally car. Stuck a medium rpm turbo on it and blazed through it on my 2nd try ever.

Got 7500 points on sector 1. So the other 5 sectors I was just laughing. Ended up with over 12000 points.

edit: The thread I posted this in has been merged with this one so this post now does not make sense. This was in reply to how to do the Dream Drifter Trophy.

I recently checked my trophies and am missing the "Win Number One" trophy.
I have golded most a-spec races now and it still shows that I do not have this trophy.

Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like you had a glitch where it didn't activate the trophy. Pretty much your only option at this point is to back your save up on a USB drive, delete the save on the PS3, start a new game, win an A-Spec race to unlock the trophy, and then copy your original save back to the PS3.

Ok, thanks. I will try this. So, the trophies are not really part of the save game then.

No they are saved to your PSN profile. Which reminds me, to be safe make sure your trophies are synched up before you do this as well.

Never bothered with the drifting thing but I need the trophy for my collection.

Which car? Which track?
Comfort hards for more spinning??

Tried few times with an S2000 around some cape ring layout but thought the sectors were too few to reach 10,000 points.

Any clues how to get it easy?
Comfort Hard tyres, apparently

I did it with Lamborghini Countach fully tuned on grand valley
remember the track must have 5 sector otherwise you wont do it

Am I doing something wrong here, as I spent 45 mins smashing up a car yesterday and the most I got was a flappy bumper for about the last 25 mins. I tried the doors but they wouldn't budge.

Umm, help!?

I was having the same trouble as you last time I tried. I suspect that people are doing this one in online races where the damage level can be adjusted, but I'm not familiar with the online side of the game at all. It also sounds like some cars are more susceptible to losing parts than others.

Got my "air of experience" yesterday after 382 races. Another confirmation that it doesn't take 500 races 👍

you have to use a rallycar that helps:tup:
take it to practice on trail mountain en you have the trophy in 10 min if you drive your car in to the wall several times.

There is a glitch on Nurburgring Nordschleife at the pit exit. Enter Arcade Mode and choose a rally car, preferably the Citroen. Wedge the car between the wall and guardrail and both doors with fall off in ~5 seconds.

I just discovered that you can't have more than 20,000,000 credits (thanks to all the B-spec grinders that have used my Bobs!). Makes it very easy to get the Penniless trophy, as all you have to do is spend your 20 mil on a Ferrari P330 (or Ford Mark IV or Jag C type). Result!
