I Just received trophy for The Air of Experience it takes 499 races

for the GT-R record trophy, I got a time of 7:16:334 in Time Trial with sport hard tires but it didn't unlock the trophy. Can the car be modded or does it have to be exactly how you bought it from the dealership? I have 2 GT-R '07. One is modded and the other is straight from the dealership. Bother cars i was able to beat the time of 7:29:3xx with sport hards but still no trophy. Anyone have an idea why i'm not getting the trophy?

It has to be done in Arcade mode, if I recall correctly.

now i'm really confused on why i'm not getting the trophy. I tried a lap with comfort soft tires (worse than sport hards) and got a time of 7:24:742 and STILL NO TROPHY. What do i have to do to get this thing unlocked?!?!

It has to be done in Arcade Mode with the Arcade GT-R, I believe. I could be wrong but that's how I did it.

Ahh... ok I think I get it now. I've been using the GT-R in my "favorites" this whole time. I'll try the "Arcade" GT-R tomorrow and see if it unlocks (i'm sure it will). Thank you for clearing it up! 👍:)

Well done and nice confirmation. 👍

As at yesterday my first bob is at 491, with 3 x LM to level 40, then 24hr NR, and the final few repeat races on Weds evening (I want to use my first Bob all the way through Bspec, he deserves it) .. nearly there on 3 trophies then.

Update: mine took 500 races to fill, so perhaps you gave your Bob a day off somewhere ?

Nice!

Last night after driving the 9 hour Tsukuba race, my first Bob (F.Hobbs) received the AIR OF EXPERIENCE trophy.

He has run 136 races (with 117 wins), and his experience bar is full. F.Hobbs is a level 36 driver.

I use all six Bob's fairly equally, so they all share in the XP points as I go along. My Bob's have competed in 664 races so far, and have won about 85% of these (most losses occuring in the NASCAR races (Daytona and Grand Valley) and at Cote D'Azur in the Historic race). My Bob's are from level 33 to level 36.

Respectfully,

I Just received a trophy called Car Collector for buying 1000 cars, at least 750 of them are Go-karts.

So that means you can fill up your garage with 1000 Go-karts and you will receive this trophy 👍

- Dream Race
Win the ultimate three-way showdown between a Ford Mark IV Race Car, a Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car and a Jaguar XJ13 Race Car

Win a race at the Historic Racing Car Cup in Expert Series while driving one of these three cars - the others will probably be present.

Just a pedantic note, you don't actually need to beat the Ford Mark IV race car '67, a Ford GT40 Race Car '69 will do instead.

I'd also advise restarting if the 2J or Toyota are on the front row.

Never bothered with the drifting thing but I need the trophy for my collection.

Which car? Which track?
Comfort hards for more spinning??

Tried few times with an S2000 around some cape ring layout but thought the sectors were too few to reach 10,000 points.

Any clues how to get it easy?

I did it on Chamonix in the snow, with the Citroen C4 rally car.

You want to stay as close to the driving line as possible as it will yield the most points.

On the Chamonix track you can get 6000 points in the first sector.

never thought you could do it in snow. Snow should be much easier! thanks!

I'm nonsense at drifting but never thought about doing it on snow! Now I know I'll get that trophy.

I got mine driving a Nissan 370Z at Suzuka East. It took me several goes but I got it in the end, and I was using the DS3 :)

You basically need to drift cleanly round the first and last sweeping right handers. Do those two well and you'll easily get yourself enough points :)

Good luck, and don't let this trophy annoy you like it did me.

The stock Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is a pretty good car for drifting.

Hi Famine, 2 precisions about the trophy guide :

* For "Gold Standard", you have to gold all special events and licences in a-spec, and gold every race in a-spec OR in b-spec, not a combination of them.

* For "The Air of Experience" the fastest (but still boring) way after you reach lv40 is to take the X2010, equip it with Sports Hard, then head to Beginner Series and keep repeating Tsukuba's race (4 laps, 2'30" total).

As the first person to point out the first one was....Famine, I think he knows that.
The second is common knowledge and is only relevant if you have not run 500 BSpec days after finishing 24hr Nurburgring.

I Just received a trophy called Platinum for receiving Gold Standard Trophy.

Why 750 Go-karts? That's obvious!

I also got the Colourful trophy dead on 256 colours. My current theory is that gifted paint chips don't count towards the colourful trophy.

I think you're spot on with that. I got it just now when I was logged in to PSN past midnight, 261 colours iirc, but 251 before the gifted colours.

I finally got my colourful trophy yesterday, and after the discussion involving the posts quoted, thought I would try and test icleolion's theory. I was on 253 colours, gifted two chips from my GTP_ account, putting me on 255. So if gifted paints dont count, I would need 258 for the trophy. Off I go to the UCD, pick out a nice DB9, part with the ~150,000cr, no trophy! Check paint inventory, still only 255 colours - I already had the DB9's colour. Oh well, back to the UCD, picked another car. Car delivered, game autosaves, trophy delivered!!
So there we have it, gifted paints count just as much as ones you acquire yourself. No idea how people are getting 260+ without a trophy.

Can you show me where it's written on the trophy guide ? Oh sorry you can't, because it's not there.

After you finish Nurburgring 24h, you'll have roughly 250 wins (provided you didn't restart 10 times every race because you lost). You don't seem to know what a trophy guide is. It's usually a step by step description of what is needed to obtain a trophy, and "common knowledge" has nothing to do with this.

Don't even bother to respond, unless you have something interesting to say about the guide. See ? i can play the little mod too.

But don't you find you're taking the fun out of the game just to get that Platinum? The reason why its 1000 cars to get that trophy is cuz there's just over 1000 cars in the game, so having 1000 different cars in your garage to achieve that trophy should be part of the fun and challenge. It's kinda taking the fun out of the game. But to each his own i guess

I'll still enjoy selling cars and buying new. But go karts only for platinum.

Anyway here's a top tip for you. I did my platinum and still have 99% game progress. That's because i didn't finish two endurance races. Laguna Seca and 24h Race on Nurburgring. both are in A-Spec so i guess to platinum you have to finish and win those races only in A or B spec!!! Not here and there, but still reaching to Level 40 is mandatory so either way i think maybe pointless clue but still you can leave some races if you already did them in B or A Spec. Someday i will finish those races to reach 100% game progress.
