okay 56.15 is the TIME TO BEAT street class 4WD=)

i will eventually be campaigning a S2K in unlimited FR class.

Ok, so I changed the tires to Sport Soft and I managed a 0:58.396 with the AEM S2000 and all assists off. I can tell I still have alot of room to improve my times though.

hmm, i like that time ;) major props my friend the homie Stephan Papadakis ftw!

Since I used to own this car (now driving the DC5R) in real life, I MUST do my time attack based on these two cars haha!

Vehicle Make and Model
Honda Civic Type R 08 (Naturally Aspirated)
Tyre : Sports Soft
Time : 1:02.568
All Assist Off, ABS 1

Mods Done
No ECU Tuning, Engine stage 1, Vehicle lightened (1051KG), Titanium exhaust, standard catalytic converter, Standard manifold..

I actually removed the mods as I felt the car was kinda over powered for this particular twisty track..not the best for FF..plus, I was trying to be as close to spoon's setup of 250bhp as possible. Something about NA cars in GT that alway disturbs me...the game gives power to NA too easily. NA cars don't draw so much power easily in real life.

Still major room for improvement though, replay is laughable haha. Next is time attack for the DC5R!

I just done a 57.006 in the Zonda R 09. Used my best lap of 53.467 in the Impul GTR as a pace maker.

Race settings:

Transmission: MT
Front Tires: Sport Soft
Rear Tires: Sport Soft
Driving Line: Off
Traction Control: Off
Skid Recovery: Off
Active Steering: Off
Active Stability Management: Off
ABS: 1
Grip Reduction: Real

Steering settings from the options menu:

Steering Type: Simulation
Power Assist: Off
Feedback: 7

Home setup - Acer H5360 projector (100"), LG 5.1 sound, DFGT wheel, and an old Ford Escort escort GTI seat on the floor!! lol

Here's a vehicle I never had the chance to drive in real life, so sad!!!!

Vehicle Make and Model
Honda Civic EK9 (NA)
Tyre :Sports Soft
Time :1:07.539

Stock Car!
What a pleasure it is to drive. No wonder with a K20A swap in real life, many still consider this the best track civic!

Ok, so after messing around online I remembered about this & decided to give it a go.

Car: Mazda RX-7 Spirit-R Type-A (FD-gen) '02
Tyre: Sports Soft
Time: 0:58.077
All Assist Off, ABS 1

I could have easily gotten another second or so but I still haven't fully gotten a tune yet. Oh & it isn't turbo'd.
I think the specs are 1051kg with about 400bhp (just realised that can be improved so expect a faster lap soon).
If I could get some front down force I could go a lot faster but its only rear down force :(

Just so you know, this is with SPORTS SOFT tires maximum. It's up to BALANG if he'd like to include the time.

Balang - Are you going to divide it into further categories? I might have a few suggestions as to some categories besides drivetrain.

Other than that I have an addition to 4wd

R8 5.2 V10 FSI Quattro
SPORTS SOFT
Aids off, ABS + 1
Full lightening/stiffening mods

56.397

Updated.

@ filphip, yeah I could include some further categories if you want, what are you suggesting.

@ DC9990, I put the RX-7 is Forced Induction as it comes with a turbo as standard.

I've improved my lap time in the GT-R Spec V to a 55.xxx after some small power upgrades. Going change the car a bit more and give it another go and see if I improve.

The Spec V is almost fully tuned up, could loose a little more weight and upgrade turbos. The rest is settings and a perfect lap. Fow now I've managed a best 54.530, not sure if I'll be able to beat the real life record.

unofficial SPOON CR-Z time:

1min 3secs

=)

i know there is at least another second in there.

problem is you can not put it in the NA category, nor can it go into FI...

even though the battery boost is fairly minor im just keeping it fair.

so i petition for a new HYBRID or BAT BOOST category.

i am a busy guys these days and only posting in hopes i can get other hybrid racers to join in.

will have updated with official time by end of night.

You made a boo boo.. FD2R ran his fastest time in the FD2 Civic Type R (08)
so that make me have the fastest EK time :) (that time was ALL MOTOR)

Yup Balang, my 1:02.5xx was set in a FD2R Honda Civic Type R 08, not on the EK9. Fastest EK9 is currently Midori, Please edit :)

Balang - This might take work, which means more time, but we can have HP sub divisions at, Say, 250, 450, 650, 650+.

Also a street tire and race tire division would be awesome. Some people may try to play it off by using race hard, but that's what replays and the honor code is for. I'm curious as to how many seconds someone may gain from using street soft compared to race hard?

Also may I see your replays of the GTR in action? I'm not sure if I've gotten the line right for the R8. I'm pretty consistent in the 56.600 range but I can still see myself cutting down to a 56.3XX at the current tune. I also didn't play with the suspension settings at all and tuned brake bias for more rear.

Holy hell. RaptorGTS. How did you pull of a 1:02.3xx? I must have really gotten my lines wrong. Wanna send me your replay? ;)

I wonder if the youtube replay feature is working? I'll try upload it if not I'll upload the replay file.

Having sub categories for different hp would be possible but ye time consuming.

I left the suspension stock on the Spec V when I ran a 55.1xx didnt want to mess with the handling, but then upgraded to fully customizable and made some setup changes and improved. I'm not sure if I want to add a wing yet...
As far as racing line is concerned I've tried to minic what people do in real life, they seem to run a tight in and tight out line.

I think the youtube feature was taken out.

My lines are pretty tight, so I maybe I'm doing things right.

Are we able to mail psn friends a replay?

filphil89, I sent you a PM and will get the replay up. It might just be your tires since you used sport hard correct?

I know I can still shave off more with both the RX7 and the AEM S2k. I need to work on consistency.

I am doing my runs with completely stock, untouched vehicles. Once I hit a wall, maybe I will do upgrades.

I wasn't disputing you, just saying. Hahaha. I'm curious as to the line. I do remember myself using SPORTS HARD so that definitely has something to do with it. I don't know if it's worth 2 seconds though. =D

Balang - Now that I think about it. Keep this format. It's simple and dividing it even more would only complicate things. It's fun so far:tup:
