Here is the replay with the RX-7 so you can see the lines I was taking. As you will notice, I still have much left to improve, it still looks sloppy.

I saw the video. In comparison to my most recent Audi R8 times I can tell the lines we take are massively different. I would go try my hand with the RX-7 again but I've got to buy a new one since my brother went all out and bought everything for the car.

Depending on my time tomorrow I might buy a new FD with soft tires.
 
If you dont want to waste money on getting another one, just go to the arcade mode and race in there. I have been doing the time trials with cars from the arcade since I am not modding them anyways.

From only one look at Raptor's line with his stock FD, I can tell that the R8 requires a different line. For some reason, I can always pull on my ghost on turn 1 but my ghost catches up on turn 4. I'm not sure how to properly approach turn 4.

All I have to say is that you are one fast dude if you're not pulling those times off with a fully modded GT-R, Galang. Makes me wanna buy a GT-R and see what's up! 👍
 
AWESOME times guys really good driving! all my friends will be getting some tsukuba super lap battle on when they get bored of call of duty and get with the real business.. GT5 =)

and i am so so bummed lol, i had a PERFECT lap going where i was a whole car and a half of so ahead of my ghost coming into final corner when i drug a wheel onto the outer curbing and sliiiiiid all the way out into the grass =( so frustrated i just turned it off will be back on later today.

my goal is to get an FF into the 59's...

which i am sure will require some work.

213crz - Omg you have no idea how many times that happens to me. lol. My lap times suffer because I'm too much of a panzy and brake softly into the final corner.

Balang - Is there a closing date for this battle?

No closing date, it will carry on for as long as people want to break records.

@213crz, same, really want to be in the 59s with an FF, going to give the Civic a go in a bit.

when uploading youtube vid you must only use the end of the link Example: if the link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Uf22YBtg_M { you must use: 1Uf22YBtg_M } and for hd you have to add the HD=1 by either clicking SHARE HD then copy/pasting the ENDLINK, or just adding the HD=1.

also that is the death about that damn corner either you pussyfoot it and lose a car coming out, or you overshoot coming in too hot and end up in the field. probably the reason why i tsukuba is my favorite circuit in gran turismo. oh wait, no its not. i totally forgot about laguna. well it is my favorite Japanese circuit.

The EK runs faster with the all motor setup. I was surprised how much faster of a time i pulled without spinning out of the apex.

Guess I will try out the R8 and EK today to see what kind of times I can pull off.

I wish PD would come out with someway to convert files to be played on windows media or a GT player for windows haha

please post as many specs (mods, tune) as possible 👍
 
Seems to me that the FWD Class is gonna have alot of competition. I thought the most popular was gonna be the AWD Class but I am enjoying this. I do not think the EK has enough in it to break under a minute in this game. The Top Fuel EK is not a B16 powerplant. It has a B18 in it. I believe its going to come down to the K-Series Equipt Cars. I am going to make a test run on my next honda chassis, I will post my next time later tonight. Anyone want to do time attack practice online feel free to hit me up PSN: xMidori-
We could do some test and tunes. Having 16 cars on the track and watching the lap times live would be fun.

P.S. Why am I listed 3rd quickest?
 
I'm down but I honestly have SO MUCH work to do. A college nursing student being swampped with presentations, Psychiatric group discussions, research proposals, tests, etc are hitting me hard and hitting me now. lol


Schedule something and I'll try to come in. I'd have a ton of fun rolling with everyone. Let's say we get a FWD competition going. I'll look through the cars today to see what FWD I choose.
 
Hi guys,

I know this is invalid as I'm running racing soft tires, but I've got KPGC10 "hakosuka gtr" that is running 1:01.3 around tsukuba, no forced induction all assists off and traction difference set to real, no abs, still running the standard gearbox.

I'll go get some times with sports soft tires and see if I can get a decent time.

Figured I'd post that up anyways as from what I could see no one has used anything older then an 80's Japanese car.

Hi guys sounds like fun. I am big fan of FF cars and have 98 integra Type R as my daily comuter and luv it. I am using the civic in GT5 at the moment and would love to see how far we could push our times. my PSN id is fullysik911 send a friend request if anyone wants to do some time trials
