Hi, I'm wondering why Master List #1 ends or does not have details after day 1779 ?

I'm getting close to there on my main save, do you need any info when I get to that point and further ?

The reason is that no one has charted that portion of the UCD. When you get to that gap, we could use all the information you can provide about the cars that fall in there. You can snap digital pics of the screen for those days or you can record the data in spreadsheet modeled after the UCD database. That's a big gap, so you will be pretty popular if you can help out mapping it.

There are details after day 1779 but not until day 2377 and after that the info gets pretty sparse. Any help you want to give your be great!

You should check with segovia to see if he has any more pictures taken.

Hi, Well I've got close to the 1779 point.
CLIBBY said I was on #1 with about a 20 day offset I believe, anyway I've begun to record details of cars in the UCD from day1765, with these I'll post and I've taken pics of all UCD daily update from there, 10 pics covering the period from day1766 to 1780 so far.
Don't know what you want me to do with those pics, I guess someone will want a look. 👍 Cars in top of my garage day 1765 now, below.
Left column first (5 cars)
Nismo Fairlady Z Z-tune(Z33)'03
Nissan Fairlady Z Version ST(Z33)'02
Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EP)'04
Honda S2000 Type V '03
S2000 (EU) '01

right column in garage screen
Mitsubishi 3000GT SR(J)'95
Autobianchi A112 Abarth '79
Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car '94
MIRAGE CYBORG ZR '97
Cerbera Speed 12 '00

let me know what to do with these pics 👍

I started taking pictures and posting them here because a couple of persons (namely CLIBBY34 and ajns73) are better organized than I am with their spreadsheets and can transcribe the information from the screenshots with minimal effort.

If I understand correctly, the start of your recorded details would correspond to day 1787. I'll take pictures of my UCD to bridge that small gap between days 1779 and 1787. Just to make sure, could you post your first picture (or all of them, if you wish) so that I know when I've reached your starting point? Thanks.

OK, I feel guilty. I haven't transcribed in a while. :guilty: I'll take the first set of the next snapshots right after I slink to a corner and hang my head.

Where are you hosting the pic's to show here ?

It's not just you mate, I've not really got much done UCD-wise either... relatively busy week (...and I've not found myself playing skyrim rather regularly still... oh no, most definitely not :sly:)

@ robisme, if you use Excel, feel free to look at or use the template I've attached here... If macros are enabled, you can double click on the manufacturer and model cells, which autocomplete to speed things up. (Can use up/down arrow keys to scroll to speed up, helps with skylines, Imprezas etc where only the last few letters change). It even calculates price from the Odometer reading now :D

Segovia has been hosting compressed (.rar) files containing the pics on Google Docs, it's easy to set up an account if you don't have one yet. It's also a good place to host other files, eg. spreadsheets/lists, too :)

To post pictures, I zip them in one file and attach the file to the post (you have to click the "Go Advanced" button to do that).

The picture you posted is fine for the purpose of knowing when I will have reached your starting point, but be careful not to chop off the make on the far right of the screen.

It's great to have you on board as a contributor to the list! 👍

To ajns and CLIBBY: the purpose of my post was not to make you feel guilty :P

See how talented you are? You weren't even trying. :) Nah, I know you weren't trying, but I still feel badly. Hopefully i can dispel those feelings by doing some conversions.

Day 80,031 on ML#2

'Benz SL600 (R129) '98........................Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II N1 (R34) '00

Whatever is easiest for you is fine. The more cars the merrier but we should only need six to look for a match. I could go back and check but are you posting the top six cars in the dealer?

Hi, Now let me see if this works, never done this before, mmm zipped all the pics in a file, now how to attach it and get it here, IS the question ?
Do I need to host it like a normal pic I might post ?

No need to host the zip file. Click on the "Go Advanced" button, and then you'll see a "Manage Attachments" button. Click on it, and you'll get a small window where you'll be able to upload the file.

I failed the task :( I saw "Go Advanced" & "Manage Attachments", got lost on what I was doing from there :(

After clicking "Go Advance", and then "Manage attachments" :

- Click "Choose file" (any will do)
- Select and open the zip/rar file you wish to attach
- Click "upload"
- Wait until it's uploaded (a few seconds at most hopefully), and close small window
- The attachment should show now in the "attach files" box, above "Manage Attachments"
- Write your post per normal! :)

I now know why it did not work,,,,,
GT5 Cars day 1766 - 1817.rar:
Your file of 7.75 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 1.00 MB for this filetype.

looks like I'll have to split it up a bit or... can I email it to someone who wants this file ? @CLIBBY34

Hmm, would end up being a lot of zipped files to catch all the pics...

I think the easiest way would be to host it somewhere (free, of course!). Most of us here are hosting stuff on googleDocs - segovia has been uploading groups of pics there as rar files. Should take a couple minutes at most to register and upload the file if you fancy a go :)

Before I zip my pictures, I reduce their size to about 1/4 the original size. I also put the jpg quality to around 80%, it makes a lot of difference in the size of the files. Just test the processed pictures for readability. You should then be able to post them as an attachment.

XnView is free software that will do all that for you. If you use it, I can help you figure out how.

Hi, You go though every picture reducing ect ? (takes some time I guess ?).

BTW I setup the google docs thing, explain how we work that now, to share 👍

No, XnView has batch processing capabilities, it makes it quite easy and painless.

To share a google doc, change its visibility to "Anyone with the link", and then copy the link and paste it in your post.

A car has been missed in ML#1. Please insert the following in position 10348 (day 1725):

Nissan - CALSONIC SKYLINE '00 - 2000 - 2094 (km) - 742148 (Cr.)

(see my picture 161.jpg).

Also, here are a few cars that should bridge the gap to what robisme is going to post.

Clibby, not that it matters at this point I guess, but LibreOffice will run VBA without a re-write. I have been playing with both OO And LO over the the last month. If they could get formatting under control (Conditional especially) I would switch to LO, but I have yet to figure out to get multiple conditions to work together the way I want them to work. Anyway, just an FYI.

Segovia, do have any pics left over for transcription at the moment?

No, but robisme might have some very soon, I guess. Not sure what to do now, since we're at the same point. The gap is now about 600 days long. Maybe I'll advance my save 300 days and work on the second half of the gap. I'll post pictures then if I do that.

been away the entire weekend so haven't been able to make so much progress, still 80 days here with around 40-50 new to fill previous gaps.

@ajns : I've been intending to download libreoffice for a while now - this sounds like a good excuse to do so :D Will have a play today or the next few days and see what happens. Who knows!

@ 1224 : I've not seen that method to rewrite dates yet, is rather interesting! While I don't want to pour water over the whole method (as it must have taken ages!), after using the "RIGHT()" command to get the 2 digit date, I use a quick "IF" command, since all car build dates are well within a range of 100...

=IF(VALUE(RIGHT(a,2))<20, RIGHT(a,2)+2000, RIGHT(a,2)+1900) where 'a' is is the cell with the car's description.

I can actually see how I can usefully use a modified version of your matrix in one of the annoyingly long-winded projects I'm doing at work, so a big thumbs up!! 👍 :)
