... and, btw, I live in a (unmentioned so far) country well in the south (and west) of Europe, and I have had no lag problems at all to this date.
But this isn't about lag, is it?
I think I'll have my afternoon nap now. Maybe with a litle wine to sleep better.

Sorry about my bad humour... but that infrastructure thing is not part of that. When I've been driving Southern Europe countryside, and thru some smaller cities, villages, etc, I cant sometimes believe my eyes. Here in finland it's ofcourse very different cause we have so cruel winter. We would be dead if had samekind of apartments. Maybe thats why we dont have 'siesta', we are picking wood for winter.

nah that's not me. I stick with my red Evo X (though I'm a bit surprised there's someone in HK playing the US version - I mistakenly bought this US GT5P which rendered me impossible to race against my friends, as most of them got the Japanese version)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to meet you on the track some day : )

well hopefully this event goes good and they get rid of region locked races, because its completely a letdown when at 10am i cant find anyone to race in the US

I think with the upcoming update GT5P online will be revolutionised, assuming there will be a private host options (SCEA said they are working on it) there is no reason to not have it region free, I can understand why the did it in the state GT5P is now but this new world event is just in preparation (IMO)

It looks like they are testing the globel server's, Perhap's they are getting ready to open up the region lock. I think this summer there is going to be alot of things going on with the PS3 getting ready for somthing special this fall and the same goes for GT5P.

Just won my first international race, 3 US 1 France 1 Tawain, the rest Japan. Everyone was sporting a JP built car except me I went with the German built BMW and smoked the field.

I spent in your country 6 weeks with my mate last fall and just loved it! ..and I would love to come back but the ticket should be paid first, I guess.. lol.
What is the meaning of 4km straight's if you're allowed to drive just 63mph??

As you aussies are so many in here, could you tell me how serious is it, if I don't pay those 250$? ..will you put me in jail if I lay my feet on your island again?

So you're saying you go busted speeding and still owe $250? I am not 100% sure what would happen to be honest, but I wouldn't worry to much, you wouldn't go to jail but they may want their money and a extra fee for not paying up originally. Even then I highly doubt they will notice unless you get pulled up by police and they checked any outstanding fines or warrents, it wasn't criminal and it wouldn't turn up on your record at the airport. (I don't think)
And yeah we have a lot of sneaky speed camera hidden behind bushes, most locals know the usual hot spots but visitors can get caught out pretty easy.
