Most evenings and some daytimes you will find someone in the club lobby, if not,
then just grab the room settings from page 1 and open a room yourself, i am sure it wont be long before you have

MOUNT PANORAMA to have a run round for a while.

Well what a race that turned out to be lol - @jontikis & I had a moment into t1 not exactly sure what happened but I ended up 2nd to last and Jon being last - after that it was time to quit then I had a change of tune & thought to my self have a really just practiced this much all week to leave it there because of what I would claim a racing incident - no not at all it was "Danger Dan Time" on a charge I manged to salvage something from this race having some really gd battles along the way - unfortunately I couldn't be up front to take the fight to the front runners but hey ho that's life on to the next - THE DREADED BATHHURST - FUN TIMES
So I noticed race winners usually post race reports so here's mine.
Q - Had better days

After quite a delay we finally got rolling after two pace laps. Start was smooth, then I think @DeltaJuliet wanted to suprise @monkeywall into t1 but outbroke himself, I understand the risky move, if DJ got by and in the lead I think he would be hard to catch as his car was very strong in the long run especially. Going into the main straight on lap 1 I was very close to Monk and got a good slip managed to go by in the lead by lap 2 and the race was looking even better than planned. After few laps Delta was 2nd and started to closing up on me and that cought me by suprise. I realised this will be far from a walk in the park.
I put my head down and started putting in some great laps but that cheeky DJ wouldn't go away lol. At that point I started thinking about strategy, I was sure Monk was going on 1 stop but was not sure what DJ was up to, so I had a lot to think about. Monk was only 4 sec behind before pit stop and I thought at that point monk will win it if his startegy works out, as his pace was very good.
Delta pitted at about 30 min, I was relifed to see him go 2 stop so I pitted next lap, for some reason I got a 5sec gap from DJ after stops..2nd stint not much action on track, but stint was on of my best ever I think, whole stint in 32's even on worn tyres.
I was still worried about Monk's 1 stopper and was hoping my gap won't be to big after my 2nd stop, came out of pits to my suprise only 3 sec behind monk with 25min to and fresh rubber on my car, so I was feeling confident. Got in the lead quite quick, Monk couldn't hold me back for long on old rubber. After that I just needed to bring the car home and that I managed.
The pressure is off now, got a win in the season which is always my gold. Now on to Panorama, a very weak track for me, I never got a top 5 here in gt500 car so yea it should be a tough one for me. Fuji was suited for the GTR and next track is suited for the Lex so I suppose it's going to be very difficult to keep up with the TRL lads but we'll certanly try.
Niss getting nice slip stream and passing me into turn 1 under breaking next lap around. No way was I going to challenge the fuji master
Next lap mike with a crazy speed gets me on turn 1. Now I've @TRL_Andromeda in my rear view even more 'just keep calm, follow mike and don't destory the tires'.
They all pitted but then noticed @Kostas83 hadn't pitted and was catching me he pitted. Then after arguing with myself I pitted a few laps later.
Managed to get out in front of him. now in 8th 1 stop isn't going to work lets see what happens.
@mirial has a off giving me the chance to gain a place, tried to give him a tow to slow down kostas. Didn't work kostas gets mirial into turn 1
Then he gets me next lap around
At end of the lap mirial gets by on the final turn. After a nice battle through the final sector.
A lap later my extra hp helps me get it back on the straight.
I finally catch kostas and have a go into turn 1 but notice the fuji master is close behind and mess up my exit.
My unsuccessful attempt to pass kostas allows the fuji master to catch up and pass me.
A few laps later I successfully get pass Kostas.
But mike had caught up while I was battling Kostas and passes me nearly 10kph faster on the straight.
From here I just maintained the gap to Kostas behind as 3rd is still my best result so far.
Can't race next week and the week of trial mountain might pop in during the week for some fun/craic as I love panorama.

Yes as many probably suspect, the failed lap 1 turn 1 move was to try and get myself a little lead on Niss to force a battle between him and Monkey letting me get some clean air and get myself too far ahead to draught, as I knew Niss was going to be quick here. That plan didn't work though lol. Cold tyres or something cough cough
Anyhow once I got settled and without crashing, I found I was able to keep tabs on Niss, perhaps moreso than I had been anticipating, and as the tyres started wearing occasionally catching. But as Niss says he did a devastatingly good middle stint, I was putting in some low 32's myself and hardly ever catching. I did pinch fastest lap though (hope it was clean @TRL_Andromeda ?), with a 31.7 I don't even remember doing, in some sort of trance state just utterly focused on trying to catch Mr Fuji in the white GTR! 2 stops seemed to work, still slightly bemused how some managed 1 stop
Also Niss - remember Fuji race last season, same result (P1 and P2) - and had I not been fearing I was going to run out of fuel at the end this time probably be almost exact same final split. Assuming handicaps are comparable, we have either both improved equally or both stayed the same
As a closing remark though - I think it is a GTR track, and I did have +30bhp over most others, so I'm not getting too carried away, but certainly I had a really good race and really enjoyed it 👍👍👍

Mirial - I do so apologise about the bump into the final turn- I know it caused you to loose a lot of time as I saw you going round in circles on the map- I don't remember how it happened - I think I was ahead and you were passing me - and as I was going to put that lap I tried to stay tighter At the exit to give you room outside - but somehow we came together / I did intend to apologise after the race - but I dcs with 7 minutes to go - and by the time I reset psn and rejoined after the race finished, I forgot to apologis/
