He thought I was serious even after I pointed out that he thought I was serious... if that makes sense. You actually explained it surprisingly well. It was a joke. "Some" people even think Brits sound like Aussies or simply can't differentiate the two, which was the reason for the Flight of the Conchords video.

Even though Flight of the Conchords are Kiwi, which sound more like Brits than we do if you are from the right area of NZ but it's all good we all sound the same and even more so when we're drunk roflmao....ah killing myself here!

Woo my scruffy Bathurst lap made the front page! Thanks for the feature @Jordan :D

Special mention to the little guy named Fritz who took that video for me. Gave me a run for my money the whole day along with @Xalelexx in the time trial competition!

All y'all sound the same! Scots are similar to the US's southern folks. I heard and saw it happen on a talk show in the US with Craig Ferguson, a Scotsman.

That's actually right. A lot of NZ pronunciations are just lazier versions of the English accent but it varies from area, and sometimes the people you talk to. My brother and me have been raised in the same place, but we have slightly different accents. Not massively, but it's noticeable. My brother has had to talk to more maori people (who have a different accent again) than me, and you can hear it. A slight hint of Maori in his accent.

Oh, I just realized that this is slightly off-topic.

Some V8 Supercar drivers will be racing GT cars at Hyland Park. Greg Murphy in the new McLaren. This new circuit would be a sweet surprise for future DLC ( I know, "Get in line.").

It's an awesome circuit. Reminds me of some of the classic tracks like Spa; a bit of Hockenheim and maybe even the full Nurburgring Nordschliefe. Not sure whether it will make GT6 or not but it sure would make a great venue for an N.Z. GT Academy Final :sly:

Agreed, Australia has no differentiation of accents across the states. However Oz and Kiwi regardless of which island are more different than the same. Having said that an NY accent has Irish and Italian woven through it which would due to high concentration of immigrants from those countries in the 40's & 50's

Huh? This track's been in the making all year and I'm only just learning about its existence now? And I'm from NZ!? I feel quite silly now. Looks like a great track though.

Yeah for sure. If only Hampton Downs can get it's act together we'd have two world class circuits on both ends of the country completed!
