GT6 Endurance Races Ideas

Since the super license did not include actual endurance races, I've made this thread to discuss what endurance races you would like to see in GT6 if they choose to add them to the game. I have made a list of what endurance races I think would be good in the game, the prize money for winning the races, and the car restrictions. American races are in miles while all other races are in kilometers (including original circuits). All events will take place on the layouts that have time and weather variable/changeable if possible.

I'd personally only restrict the 24hrs of Spa to GT spec cars (but not restricted to GT3 only) and add another 6hr Spa event for a mix of LMP and GT cars (to replicate the real races a bit more).

Ideas for some shorter endurances:

Trial Mountain 2 hours
Track: Trial Mountain
Prize: 250.000
Car Restrictions: 600pp road cars

Ascari 300km Shifter Kart challenge
Track: Ascari
Prize: 250.000
Car restrictions: 125 shifter kart
 
I've only made it past the National B races...so there's no longer any Endurance races in the game? That's disappointing.
 
Let's hope PD patch some for us in. The 24hour races were a bit much, but with so many LMP and GT3 cars now in the game compared to before... well, it only makes sense to have them back!

The Historic Reunion would be awesome on Matterhorn. It would resemble the Targa Florio.
 
Alternative Endurance!

Taking inspiration from the Coffee Break fuel economy challenge, and an episode of BBC Top Gear, I would like,e the new Track Editor to be used to create a beautifully scenic route around Ronda and surrounding area. Half a tank of fuel, who ever can drive the furthest in a set time wins decent credits/cars.

Not what you all are discussing, I know, but its endurance of a sorts?
 
Slightly disappointed nobody has mentioned arguably the GT classic (apart from Grand Valley 300km):

PP limit: 650
Cars: No restrictions
Possible opponents: GT3, 00's GT1, 90's GT1, GT500, DTM as well as other GT and touring cars.
Prize: 2,000,000

If you really want something that approximates a LeMons race, I'd suggest a PP limit of somewhere around 400 to 420, a menu of allowed tuning*, and a max year of around 2000.


* There's a fair bit of "tuning" that would be needed to replicate the basic stuff we do to race-prep a car. Cutting springs, deleting the catalytic converter and modifying the exhaust, stripping and caging... I'd say, at minimum, you would want to allow sports suspension, one or two levels of weight reduction, chassis stiffening, and a sports catalytic converter.
 
Why Can't they just do a custom one, same as you can do online, but vrs AI cars, and game works out prize money.
Would work well for learning tracks / cars also, while making some money.

What about a historic Le Mans? Any cars up to 1982 for example? Means we can rock out the old group c cars and hammer it down the maslane!

That exactly excludes group c, as the FIA started group c (and A, and B) in 1982.
I do like that list though.
 
Some fantastic suggestions there. I think it would be fitting for some endurances races to be put in the "special events" section of the game, it could be an award for beating the S license events, perhaps. I'd also love to see the return of some of the previous "classic" GT endurances races:
