The form as of late is proof enough, maintenance doesn't mean an automatic update. It just means maintenance.
No, that alone most certainly isn't, as AFAIK updates always arrived after a maintenance. Prove this wrong, and then you have proof.

Two hours maintenance? I think that's a bit short for an update. I'm keeping my hopes down.
We have had a lot of updates in the past after 2 hour maintenances. No reason to be doubting anything, honestly.

My question included what the heck was EDT, but thanks for the half explaination

EDT is U.S. Eastern Daylight Time. Here's what's happening in Spain:

"Las labores de mantenimiento de los servidores de Gran Turismo 6 se realizarán entre las siguientes horas:

Inicio: 30/09/2015 - 06:00 Hora de verano de Europa Central
Fin: 30/09/2015 - 08:00 Hora de verano de Europa Central

Durante las tareas de mantenimiento, no será posible conectarse a ningún servicio online.

Sentimos las molestias que esto pueda causar y agradecemos tu comprensión.

*El tiempo de mantenimiento puede variar."

Now guys let's take a moment to think about this.

2, soon to be 3 months ago, we had 3 maintenance periods: One on July 1st, and a double maintenance on July 7th and 9th. None of them brought updates, but that was a while back.

Here we are in September, no update yet. It's been almost 3 months since we last got an update with new stuff, which is very unusual for GT6. Usually we get updates with maintenance periods but that is not always the case here, as demonstrated with the 3 maintenance periods of July.

I feel like we are getting new stuff, more than likely the Bugatti and Hyundai VGTs, but I'm gonna keep my hopes down just for safety. Why? Well, GTP's community started flame war against PD about there being no update after these 3 maintenance periods, causing threads to get locked down due to the rage.

If you weren't reading this post then I am not responsible for any damages caused if there is no update! ;)

It likely won't show up as they didn't show it off in the news images of the machine like they would for any other machine with a detailed interior.
