What an intense round that was!
Those who were following the action would agree - this was a great title-fight between the contenders. P1 kept moving back and forth in several events, as the titles kept changing hands until we came down to the wire.
Again, apologies for the mix-up in the cut-off time. We did follow the 'midnight is at the end of day' belief (which is still debated according to the wikipedia) for the last two rounds and the technicality wasn't pointed out; I wish it was cleared up earlier and not at the last moment. For the purposes of measurements, though, there is no such thing as 'midnight' or for that matter 'evening, morning, dusk, dawn or noon' since these are arbitrary labels. To make it worse, the Earth doesn't really take exactly 24:00 hours to spin on its axis (it's a bit shorter than that) so the debate gets complicated and most organizations dealing with precise time will go by numbers - using a 24 hour clock for instance gets rid of that problem and is what the military uses.
By using the word 'midnight' I confused many players - and several players have been shafted out of their rightful titles because they were playing the game of 'MTM Cards', too (which makes it all the more exciting for everybody - the game within the game within the game, etc.)
To prevent this happening again, the HUB will revert back to keeping the HUB events close-off to PD's original cutoff time when they scheduled Seasonal races and Time Trials - 03.00 AM BST. (That would be also 03.00 Hours if you are running a 24 Hour clock)
Remember that BST and GMT are not in synch either for summer.
03.00 AM BST will be 10.00 PM here, Toronto, Canada, on the previous day for me.
Please calculate the cut-off time for your location and note accordingly.
If anyone is confused or not sure how to find out - don't hesitate to ask. Only fools stop learning.
Here is the cut-off time for the next round:
03.00 AM BST SUNDAY 8th JULY 2018.
The next round of events will be posted this weekend, as we do traditionally (which is the weekend following the weekend that the round ends.)
This gives us the week in-between to sort out the titles, correct errors, arrange the new events, and open the Trophy Room for a few days for all to view.
Thank you, for over the 100th time, for the great participation in yet another amazingly entertaining and enjoyable round. I'm unable at the moment to participate fully (put it down to 3 weddings, a funeral, and a summit
) and my PS3 gathers dust at the moment. I see, however, aptly demonstrated here, that GT6 is still a game to be enjoyed, with an intriguing AI not fully understood yet, and with ample toys that give us the opportunity to meet and play together.
And, not just play together, but play real hard.

Please read the details on what events actually come with a Design-an-Event Ticket - and send me your challenges via PM before end of this week so we can start up the next round. If you cannot make the cut, it's alright - a Ticket stays valid for 2 rounds, so if you can't come up with something hold on to the Ticket and you can have your challenge in the next round.
Tickets can also be transferred to another player if a winner wishes - it is not re-transferable after that; the player who gets a Ticket via the
nowayback Clause has to use it - there no way back.
If you are affected by the Whoosier-rule in any of the Divisions because of multiple wins, please nominate a runner up for the title affected. This can be done by informing us in a post in this thread.
Remember - the events are clearly separated into 4 Divisions:
LEVELLED IN-GAME Events (Whoosier-ruled)
OPEN IN-GAME Events
UNLICENCED GTHUNTER Events (Whoosier-ruled)
LICENCED GTHUNTER Events

Special Congratulations are in order to
@Racin510s: Congrats, Barnabas!
You have truly shown what it takes to win that licence - persistence, determination, and doing your very best - and you truly deserve it. I'm glad that the HUB is set up in a way that rewards drivers who
never quit trying to improve their skills, and gives them a chance to bag something in spite of such heavyweight competition.
Two things:
#1 You need to chose between the two titles you won. (Pick one, the other gets binned because of the Whoosier-rule)
#2 You are now invited to present us with a challenge event exclusive to Licenced GTHunters only for the next round. I look forward to hearing from you.
👍

A note about the
colours of Titles and the
names of Titles.
These are important to me. I devote quite some time and thought to coming up with the names of the events and the particular colours I assign to the Titles.
There are those who might immediately get the connection between the name 'PRANCE INSTRUCTOR' and the colour given to that event.
I use this technique as a mnemonic.
For those who might not get it: Prancing horse = Ferrari, Instructor = teaching the AI in P2 to go fast. Put that and the colour together and we have a 'picture' of the event that helps us remember what it was all about.
Can you figure out why the name 'RAGING BULLRIDER" and the particular colour associated with the event?
Did you notice both VGT events were a particular shade of blue?
Have fun sussing out the others.
