It's great that Kaz got a street named in his honour but i felt the whole Rhonda was a bit of a let down. A few nice cars on a bridge, a tiny bit of info on new things for the game. I've been waiting ages for today and feel like someone just burst my balloon. Really thought there would be some big news today, especially as we'd seen Rhonda in the course maker video presentation a few months back.
What exactly is missing in your opinion?

Note: Trying to nip the flamewar in the bud!!

I kind of agree, very little info about the game was released. Here's all that I've noticed so far (that we didn't already know):

* Temperature and humidity are simulated (not sure exactly what this means)
* Seasonal events will be available (not sure when?)
* Community features won't be available until January (presuming regular online racing will be available before that)
* We will have a "multitude of aerodynamic parts"
* 70 types of wheel per car
* 25% faster load times
* GT6 will have more updates than GT5 (tracks, cars, features)
* Red Bull X Challenge with 2 new X cars and Herr Vettel
* Senna's kart track was shown
* New opening movie (different from what we've seen)
* Silver Deltawing was shown

at least its all good news(except about the community features)

For a town that doesn't spend as much time on a forum dedicated to the game, I think it was appropriate. The interviews are where we get most of the information and that's when we get fairly certain but vague information. Why would they go into detail about why the F1 cars and Deltawing were removed? What the course maker looks like when it won't be released until a later time, and why the AI is just a little bit better but not what you want... They're just there to talk about the game in the most broad way to let everyone know, of course we're going to zoom into every screen shot because it looks like they changed the lugnut on the Redbull X1, but wonder why they didn't add the Mercedes A45 AMG at launch..... Just take what you can get and be happy until Friday

If that was a gigantic game franchise launch then it was a bit muted, apart from an undoubtably beautiful location. I'm guessing it's primary aim was to lather up the press gang who will no doubt be enjoying the next few days! I'm just still really surprised there is no mention of the location being used as a huge and still missing component of the game. They still could have shown it as work in progress/things to come and it would have given the whole placement of the show that much more meaning.

You decide...

Oh, it feels so next-gen to have 3d people around the track in GT6. Oh, and weather... and night.

But downgrading to meet deadlines it's normal for us too... they got downgraded graphics, we got some missing features. At least we know they'll come in the future.

A little off topic, but guess who's in the 2D crowd of Forza 5... It's Dan Greenawalt (Forza's Game Director) in 2D... seriously, what were the people at T10 thinking?

Maybe Kaz should put himself in the crowd too...but as a Premium model ;)

So your answer as to what's missing is that they should have shone more light on what's missing from the game at launch?....lol

Quick question: These Vision GT cars will be available to buy from the same dealerships we buy the other cars?

The number of Vision GT manufacturers has grown to 28 as well.

First I'm like jumping around like crazy, getting my wallet ready so I can throw all my money at PD's face, and then I read... "WILL BE ADDED FOR FREE" I think I'm going to faint...

Paid or not, I just hope this is not the only BMW DLC we get. Are you listening PD? Throw in more BMW's and you'll get my money!

There is a whole bunch of Vision GT that is still missing but they mentioned that. The course maker has the potential to really shake up the whole franchise and i'm just amazed that it wasn't even shown as a 'things to come'. With the worlds press there Kaz could have made a big deal about the course maker and it's tie in with the town and wowed the press and public alike with that fact that they would be able to race in the fabulous countryside right outside that very room. Still. I missed my stop on the hype train a while ago so i really need to think about getting off at the next stop. Contratulations to PD and all involved. GT6 looks absolutely tremendous and i can almost not bare the strain of waiting these final few days. I hope Amazon screws up and posts mine early!

The X2014 is damn sexy. :drool: I do wonder if the drivetrain is any different...

I am also curious (as everyone else around here is) about the X2014 Junior events.

Also, not 1, but 2 (count 'em 2!) DeltaWings! :D

I'm sorry but whoever was arguing on this forum that Kaz and his team was supposed to fix the engine sounds - he didn't!

I don't understand it. I am not a techy guy so I won't go into the science, but it just doesn't make sense. I beast like the Audi S1 should sound better than a mix between a mosquito and a vacuum cleaner IMO. The only reason I kept my PS3 was because of GT6 otherwise I would've sold it long before I got my PS4.

I don't mean to troll or anything - I am just expressing my opinion on an open forum. If the difference between GT5 and GT6 is better tire sounds and day/night racing then what's the point? The cars will ultimately handle the same. To me, GT6 is just a cash grab for Sony and PD.

I am so torn whether or not to get it. Just for my pure love of cars I would, but on the financial aspect, I can live without forking $60 for a game I might not be happy with.

Just my 2 cents :)
