Probably most of them are self promoting their own investment at the expenses of GT popularity.

No they aren't it seems more likely that they are either playing a joke, or using the better graphics (thus far) of pCars to make people think GT has gone come further than GT5.

From what I heard. They only do it to try and trick the GT fans into thinking pCARS is GT6 or GT on PS4. Basically they think it's a joke to fool the GT fans into believing pCARS IS GT on PS4.

Childish huh? :\

They're also doing it for views, knowing we are starving for GT6 info and PS4 tidbits. This what happens when it takes 3 years to develop a game with moderate improvements and an industry that is stagnant for 9 months out of a year.

Boredom

Internet humor. They're basically rickrolling the GT community.

Or they are really dumb and don't know what GT is and they confuse every single simulator there is. Some of my friends say that rFactor, GT, Shift etc. are all the same.

Don't you mean tricking people to believe GT is pCars not the other way around as you put it...

Oh, yes like that. I got it wrong again, haha. :P

So it's for views huh? Ugh. Indeed it's due to boredom.

If comments are disabled, it's a fair bet they know full well what they're doing and don't want folks telling them that they're sad trolls who are only going for views.

Oh yes you're indeed right about that. It would have been enjoying to read though.

Excuse my ignorance, but judging from the GT6 demo / GT Academy, do you think we will be able to select cars while in the track menu even if offline?

As the one thing that annoyed me was to always exit a track to select another car, then go back.

Who knows, PD aren't one to give tons and tons of options to players which usually creates problems and tedious menu switching. They sometimes do fix certain problems from game to game though, so if it is a big enough issue it might be fixed. I really haven't seen this as a big complaint from many though.

The "Change Car" option is there in the GT Academy demo, even though there's no use for it, so it does hold some merit that it could end up in the release version of GT6.

Too bad we got this stripped down demo instead of the E3 demo at a higher build version.

It is strange that it is not a massive complaint, as then many guys must be really patient...:)
I would prefer it for championship events, where 4 or 5 cars might be available for selection, and wud be nice to select all 5 and take to a track, then do tests and compare which would be best suited. Others might have different uses for it. It's a positive to see it in the Demo, thats for sure.👍

I'm not sure it'll ever be like that, but I do believe there was general talk about how the process had been streamled to reduce the amount of screens needed between car selection and race.

I think there was also talk of being able to select another car without having to go all of the way back - but how that will look and act in reality, we'll have to wait and see. I'm not 100% certain of the latter though...

Return back to main menu and garage just to change a car are driving me mad in GT5! Would love to change the car while on the circuit.

It basically means there will be more DLC and a heavy focus on it, which I don't like that much to be honest.

Oh alright. Yeah that's somewhat worrying if I'm honest, due to my experiences with "other game(s)".

Since quantum leap's definition is a sudden highly significant advance or breakthrough I am looking forward to it.

But I hope there will be a season pass for all DLCs for like $30 or something.

If 1 DLC contained 5-10 cars and 1 track with approximately 2 layouts were gonna have 1400 cars and 120 layouts of tracks.

It's worth it right?

Great. PD has looked at what CoD, Battlefield and Forza have been doing, and are now doing the same BS.
Yuppi-🤬-doo.

I really hope PD doesn't do what Codemasters did with GRID 2. Same models but with different liveries and bodykits, ugh. >_<

I'm all for DLC, so long as the selection is varied and the price is justifiable.

Not PD, the president of sony computer entertainment europe, kaz is not in favor of dlc content.

GT6 will be a very heavy DLC game. I know a lot of people have mocked their regular commitment schedule for GT6 as previously announced, but I've been of the opinion from the beginning that DLC will be constant in GT6. It's the way of the future. It's the way to turn a 10 Million unit, $700Million game into a 10 Million Unit, $1Billion game, the last $300 million of which has no middle man, no retailer to worry about, no supply issues and a captive market to target with advertising. It's a no brainer really.

Doesn't need to be expensive either. I doubt you'll see one much above $10-12 and most will be $5-10 I'd expect. How it plays out in terms of ongoing gameplay remains to be seen. I hope they keep updating the game with Seasonals, TT's, ASpec etc. at DLC tracks. A lot of people won't like this for sure. Lots of people will balk at paying $9 for Bathurst, even if it's along with a handful of Aussie Touring Cars but that's life. You can't make everyone happy.

Kaz is not in favour of an ongoing revenue stream to fund GT7? Kaz is not in favour of employing more staff to create DLC and expand his brand? Kaz is not in favour of ongoing excitement around the GT franchise?

He said it in an interview a long time ago.

The dlc in gt5 was a sony decision too.

Yea, and a long time ago Turn 10 said that DLC was a money "loser" for Forza. Unfortunately that has been proven to be untrue. And millions will line up to pay for content. Lots of it just stuff held back at release. And in many cases stuff that is required if you wish to compete or get the full experience of a game.
