Yeah, I reckon a Course Maker location is far more likely as well, although it would be great to see a city course in Sydney.

Hmm.. Less than a month till release. I wonder if they announce which location it is before then ;)
It's probably DLC, the article mentions the locations just after talking about DLC.

Yeah you're right about that. If it's Adelaide or Philip Island I will get the DLC hehe ;)

Yeah, fingers crossed for a combination of an Australian location and an Australian car or two.

Could be also ofcourse, but I can already race that track in the F1 games, so I prefer another one ;)

Is it this car?

159 Amuse/Opera Performance GRAN TURISMO 350Z RS

It has been shown by members here, this is the official name of the car. PD have not changed the name in the Gran Turismo dealership. Spot on. :)

About that second track. Adelaide would be cool due to F1 history and first race of the V8 season. GT could do with another street circuit as well. Surfers would be mayhem with the curbs. But, Phillip Island has birds on the track! And that view out to sea at Turn 1. Imagine seeing the clouds come over from that vantage point! Classic circuit. Or a Rally stage out in Alice Springs.

Sydney Harbour as a location. As I doubt theyd get permission to have Uluru in the game. The night sky would blow our minds.

How about Melbourne?

If it's a photo mode location, I think it would be Sydney not Melbourne because PD already had to visit Sydney on the way to Bathurst, so it would logistically make more sense to be there.

By the way, it's cool that you're from Banská Bystrica, i was there briefly last year!

I think it will be the Gold Coast circuit.

Mainly because half of the street signs there have Japanese translations beneath the English name. It's a major tourist destination for the Japanese, and has been for a long time.

And I am biased, I lived on the corner of Breaker and Tedder Avenues for about 3 years. Both these roads form part of the circuit, my place was on the outside of the hairpin :)

A vast majority looks at it, and then turns it off.

Do you wonder why? If I saw damage that looked as unrealistic as it did in GT5 I would turn it off as well. Most of the time the visual damage consisted of details like lights being merely smeared across the car. That ends up detracting from the game, which is a contributing factor to why people turn visible damage off.

I tend to think that the majority of people turn it off, because it can be very annoying that every little mistake means the end of the race for them. Only a tiny group of the people buying GT5 actually know how to keep the car on the road for a couple of laps straight, at least compared to the number buying the game. All the effort for making damage "more realistic" on hardware that simply won't support it, is bound to be lost before you even put it in. The more important thing for gameplay is simulating mechanical damage (which we have since GT5), and that one doesn't take away resources like elaborate visual damage does.

But like I said, once you have spare resources, by all means, let them simulate that, too.

^^ I agree. @ShiftingGears I think it isn't that it looks so bad that people are turning it off, it's because it effects performance. Having all that modelled damage only adds to the amount of memory being used, not to mention it seems to create problems in online lobbies etc.

Edit: I should add, I'm personally of the opinion that I would rather not have damage modelled (Mechanical damage should still exist though), and rather time spent elsewhere too, but I can totally understand that it is a feature many people would choose to have in the game.

Looks like a cool circuit. 👍
Also, that Tedder bloke seems to have gotten everywhere...

According to Finnish retailer site netanttila.com http://www.netanttila.com/shop/fi/n...89679--malli?gclid=CNGTuv_T1boCFWN2cAodMkIA-Q with "GPS Logger" mobile app GT6 drivers are able to store the actual GPS information from your car and create a route on the basis of the track to the game. In addition, the "GPS Visualizer" take advantage of GPS location information from the real cars driven in real world GT6-circuits. The data can then be exported to GT6-game and use it to create a virtual replay version.

Another interesting information recarding night sky is that when you are driving a race in the Le Mans 24-hour race at GT6, the night sky constellations correspond to 2013 actual Le Mans race.

An American like myself has plenty of love for Australia. Here is a look at what Oceania influence there has been in Gran Turismo's history (to the extent of my knowledge, and excluding GTPSP):

* Tahiti (GT2, GT3, GT4)
* Tahiti Road (GT2)
* Tickford/Ford Australia (GT3, GT4, GT5)
* FPV (GT4, GT5)
* Holden (GT4, GT5)
* Mount Panorama Circuit (GT6)

On the car front, more Holdens and a debut of HSV would be great. Maybe even add in Elfin for diversity. Maybe bring in the JOSS Supercar for a little more diversity.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Surfers Paradise or some kind of fantasy course around Sydney. Actually, Sydney or Melbourne would be great representatives for any kind of material in GT6. I can already imagine some kind of Photo Mode location where you get to have the Sydney Opera House in the distance. When I say Melbourne, I mean either a city course around Melbourne or perhaps even the great Philip Island course. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Philip Island either.

What about New Zealand? If real courses from there were featured, there would be three worthy candidates: Pukekohe, Taupo Motorsports Park, and Teretonga Raceway Park. Or you may be inclined for street course races around Auckland or Hamilton.

Oceania needs more representation in Gran Turismo. They need more representation much like I think Canada and Latin America need better representation in the series.

Has anyone seen how the race timing works in GT6? 5 was awful with the only time shown was that to the leader or if you were 1st the car behind. It made strategy weird as if you were in the pack, you didn't know if you were gaining time or losing time to cars near you.
