In the year 2525!

Realistically speaking, I don't expect it until mid/late 2014.

I'm thinking Q4 2013. GT6 will be GT5 fixed (sound, no standards, all updated tracks, etc.) with additions (recent/late model cars, events, tracks, etc.).

My reasoning behind this is that PD will want to spend time with the PS4 to eek out it's performance capabilities and develop a whole new evolution to the GT series, but they also won't want to leave their fans hanging THAT long. Especially now that they see the competition (FM series) really stepping up. Also, it wouldn't be very profitable to Sony and PD to go that long without a release. Seasonal events can only satisfy for so long.

GT6 should be for PS3 as it would be the quality of a PS3 title. If it were a PS4 launch title, it would be a disappointment for the reason i stated.

Save GT7 for the PS4 as it would give PD some time to work with the console. As I said, GT6 will be an October 2013 release.

11 months before that date and not a single piece of news or sign of an announcement. I highly doubt it, especially since the PS4 will have been announced by then.

Anyway even if it is a PS4 game I highly, highly doubt it'll be a launch title, not with PDs history of meeting deadlines.

Unless PD is planning to give GT5 a huge, spec 3.0 update with 100 new cars & 10 new tracks or something else just as crazy; I expect GT6 to be out between fall 2013 & fall 2014.
I don't expect the PS4 to be out anytime soon since Sony just launched the 2nd PS3 slim and I've heard that they're planning to keep the PS3 around for 10 years (6 years so far).
If it does become a PS4 game title though, then GT6 would be out in 2015.

Really, a 'tweaked' version for PS4? Whenever the next game arrives on PS4 I expect more than some 'tweaks'.

This means that they plan to support the system for 10 years, not that another console won't be released during that 10 year window. See the PS2 and it's 10 year plan.

Take this how you will but Amar hinted heavily at GT6 on PS4 ( most people were starting to think that anyways).

And that is why you will be let down and disappointed with whatever they release.

I heard that they werent gonna release the ps4 until they could out do the ps3 witch in that case it will be much much longer than 2015 im thinking
ps4=2019 i dont know why but i have a huntch that the ps4 will come out 2019 and i am really good at saying a date when i got a huntch
(usually always right when i have a huntch :sly:)

Well, you do have a point. The PS3 was released around the same time that Sony was launching the PS2 slim.
What I've heard was just a rumor from another gaming forum. So, it probably wasn't exactly true.

Who wouldn't be disapointed with just small tweaks across a generation?

Your hunch is definitely wrong this time. They could release a console to destroy the PS3 tomorrow. 2019 might be right for PS5 though.

I don't get what is wrong with the same game on a multiple console platform. Keeps all those that want the latest console at bay, and also keeps those of us that don't want to spend $500+ on a new system happy too.

My point is that you will not be happy no matter what because you have a pre conceived notion of what you think the game should be.

I wonder if theyll call it the PS4, it kinda sounds unnatural,

It has a 99.879% chance of being "PlayStation 4" and that will be followed by "PlayStation 5". Sony doesn't have a shred of creativity. Case in point - the original PSX controller just added prongs to a SNES controller and retardedly renamed the face buttons with shapes, which made no sense. They rehashed it into Dual Analog, after analog control worked well for N64, but they just tacked the sticks on without improving anything else. After N64's Rumble Pack took off Sony rehashed again into DualShock, and once again otherwise failed to innovate or improve. Then came DualShock 2, with no improvements, and then Sixaxis which was a response to Wii but losing rumble, and then DualShock 3, none of which fixed or improved on the antiquated design. DualShart 4 will likely be virtually identical to the seventy previous controllers.

All i'm saying is with a jump in generation i'm going to expect a big jump in the game quality. If a PS4 game is roughly the same as a PS3 game why would I buy the PS4 game?

Why would anyone buy the ps4 game? Because some people just need to have the latest and greatest "technology".

Aside from better performance, what can the ps4 offer that we won't be able to live without? There is no way ps4 can be as big of a leap as the ps3 was.

While I'm not necessarily a big tech-geek, and I'm perfectly happy with the amazing capabilities of PS3, the PS4 is actually something to be exited about.... especially comparing to ridicules $500 smartphones, which I still can't grasp the success of.

First: PS4 is coming no matter who likes the idea or not.
Second: When seeing the STUNNING graphical achievement PD accomplished on the meager PS3 hardware, you can expect a much cleaner and smoother picture, which to me, translates directly to the enjoyment of racing because it's easier to precisely see further ahead, getting closer to reality.
Third: Physics should get more complicated, hopefully rivaling iRacing, however I think in order to actually benifit from the more accurate physics, you would probably need a high-end wheel such as the T500RS or Fanatec's CSW... so one of those currently isn't cheap.

All that said, I'm more worried about the global economy more that anything at the moment, that could make or brake the success of next gen consoles and effect almost all business throughout the world and could end up being a disaster. Who knows.
