Nice to see the A.I being its Normal brilliant self :indiff:

I've seen the AI behave so differently, there must be several modes they operate in - drone mode as per the video, time trial style seasonals and most of the career events.

And other times they race aggressively in one make and arcade races
An example, me in a 370z at Spa

Bear in mind, before the comments roll in...GT6 is still in beta stage. So they'll have sounds in as mere placeholders probably.

The game is (supposedy) only six months away from release, if you expect major changes between now and then you're going to be in for disappointment. Or to put it another way, they've been developing the game for two and a half years already, if they haven't got most of the major features done by that time what makes you think they'll be suddenly hugely changed in the final 5 months (since a game has to be finished around a month before release).

I want to be optimistic about certain features but I've been here with several dozen games and from experience not much changes, not major features anyway.

Hope they change the "philosophy" of "chasing the rabbit" at every race against the AI...I´m sick of that and I´m sure they do this maybe because of the performance while having all cars in the straight. ("sure" and "maybe" in the same sentence...lol)

Early build and all the overall look is great, lighting is better and shadows inside the car has shadow blur...BUT shadows in the track are like huge squares like with no shadow blur at all, inertia while hitting a car is not there at all...is like hitting a wall of concrete and oh well...engine sounds...

The good and the bad should be said.

Hope to see some of this fixed for the final version...I don´t like the "chase the rabbit" formula at all.

^ This a million times, hated the "rabbit" non-sense. If I smoke the AI, then so be it.

SLS AMG GT3 gameplay bits in this video. Also very sexy bits of engine sound, I really wonder if it's recorded from the game/the TV speakers or if it was recorded from the real car. I'd guess the second option, but I hope it sounds close to that in the game...

I guess since you don't want to hear me talk a lot of non-sense, you can stop the video after 3:20. ;) It's just a recording of me driving two laps with the Nissan 370Z (GT Academy Version) '08 on Autumn Ring Reverse on GT5, kinda as a comparison video.

the seasonals are the worst ,looks like the video is the same drone mode (love that name).

they do sometimes on rare occasions race relativly aggressively, though I can't say that happens most of the time which is a shame considering I seem to remember Kaz stating the A.I should be miles better than it is in other games (the irony).

To me it sounds like real in-game sound (at about 26sec).
Perhaps Jordan has some recorded SLS gameplay? Please?

And regarding the Fairlady at Autumn Ring GT5 vs GT6 video comparison, the sound seems to be more clear and sorted. Less vacuum cleaner soundish, somehow. Surely nowhere close being a dramatic difference.

The good news: yes, I do have SLS AMG GT3 gameplay. The bad news: my camera wasn't hooked directly to the TV's audio line-output like it was my other videos you've seen so far (you'll still get an idea of what it sounds like, though).

I should have the video up sometime next week.

Fantastic! 👍

At least we get an idea about the sound, how did you personally perceive the audio? Was it decent, about the same as the stuff we're used to hear in GT5?

Thx btw!

It sounded good, but nothing too different from what you've heard in GT5.

I have no complaints of this, actually. Yeah I know people will say "THEY SOUND LIKE HOOVERS!" But some cars like the Elise 111R with Racing exhaust just sound epic. A slight rasp in the tone.

I'm not expecting GT6 sounds to be much different from GT5, due to hardware limits on PS3. When GT hits PS4, there won't be any excuses, if Real Racing 3 on iPhone & iPad can have decent sound.

Agreed. I'm not expecting any changes to the sounds on PS3 either, better to leave that for PS4 so PD won't have any more excuses left.

They don't have many excuses now, using a bad sample or a straight up wrong sample has nothing to do with hardware.

It will sound more synthetic due to the lack of PS3 memory, 256MB only goes so far. Maybe if they start using 8 bit sounds :)

The hardware has absolutely nothing to do with it I'm afraid.

There are boat loads of features and functions that have been minimized or omitted due to the PS3's limits and the level PD wants to run at. Compare pCARS on a high end gaming rig to a laptop that barely meets system requiems. This sound issue has been discussed in threads with thousands of posts. There is no need for this thread to become another..

In the 1st and 2nd pictures that BsK posted, what are those small circles/squares next to the tires at the bottom of the screen ? ... flat tire indicator ?

I bet that graphically, it looks like crap though.

I know people are complaining a lot about sounds, but I have to say (maybe this is just me) but when I have my tv speakers turned up, coupled with the surround sound bar and the sub woofer, I actually think the cars sound fairly realistic. You here the whines, the growls etc.
