^ I was gunna post that but there wasn't anything that I found that interesting.

No neither did I, the most interesting part was that Jann has to go and buy a copy of GT6 just like everyone else. :lol:But hey, it's a new video I guess.

What Kaz mentioned about sound ?

Otherwise, I think : you don't expect for more damage, GT6 will be on released on PS3 and it's no priority for PoDi. As for IA, it's very correct for me. It must be more agressive in GT6 :)

At the end of an interview Kaz's translator said 'we are working to improve sounds everyday'.

Even the tire sounds are the same. This really is an early build and 6 months (this late into the PS3's life) IS a long time for improving something and making optimizations.

Well, there's still E3 and TGS. If we don't get any major new info by then about sounds, standards and AI I'm officially giving up on the game.

Don't forget Gamescom ;)

I don't think they will improve the tire sounds, engine sounds... And I am very sure of that.. GT6 is more like a GT5.5, we will see a improvement, hopefully, in multiplayer, customization and not much more..

If you want to see a lot of improvement, do as me, and wait to the PS4 version, or GT7...

However, thats how I see it.. I hope i'm wrong..

If I were you, I would reserve my judgement about calling GT5.5 until we get more information @ E3 Gamescom and TGS. But that's just me.

You know what I'm saying.. I have been dissapointed with PD several times, but however, as I have said in that post, I hope I'm wrong.. Im looking forward to a lot of improvement, from physics, sound, customization, multiplayer, servers... to HUD

As we say in Spain, "tiempo al tiempo"... :)

Considering this game has been in development for 8 years, you can't expect any significant change to happen in 6 month.

Of course they could be intentionally using old sound sample to surprise us but that's even more unlikely.

as far as your GT6 expectations just aim low and avoid dissapointment. ;)

To be fair, they were able to improve the sounds (even the tire sounds) considerably through the updates. They started GT5 in '04-'05 having to "restart" some time around '06, but they started GT6 in '10. Starting on something "fresh" without needing to use updates to alter something is just better. Let's hope...

Mind translating? :P

:

They didn't start GT6 from scratch ,they just kept reworking everything(notably the physics engine)

They might have improved the sounds slightly (I've never actually noticed any car sounding different aside from a few and even then there was no mind blowing change)

That's not what I meant, so if possible, I'll leave this alone for someone to explain... if possible.

Unrelated to the sounds and physics, they made GT6 so that it's "update friendly". I wouldn't know how and I wouldn't know how great of a change it'll be. If GT5 was harsher on them with updating, then GT6 will most likely be a lot easier all around to work with, especially considering that they don't need to change/alter or add anything through updates; they can make changes and improvements easier working on the "main framework" of the game instead of slightly and with more hassle through an update. Again, can someone elaborate with true knowledge on these subjects?

Oh, and the tire sounds in the GT6 demo sound exactly as they do in GT5, sooooooo...

Yes and GT5 had no skidmarks or no paddle shifting animations before the latest builds, let's not forget that the game is still 6 months from release ,what we are seing now is still far from being the complete package of the final game.

Even The 458 Italia in the TGS 09 demo was still using the F430 sound sample before they implemented the right one in the latest builds.

IGN called it an "early build" as well. Just because something is shown 6 months before the game is released, doesn't make that build 6 months old compared to the release. For all we know this was through sometime in 2012. The progress made isn't always the progress shown. My point is, this demo at Silverstone wasn't made just right before the appearance at Silverstone. No one but PD knows when this 'demo build' is dated from. So when you say they have 6 months to better the 'demo build', it could well be already say, 9 months old. I don't know what will change, if for the better, but change will come.

Gamescom 09 footage was over a year old by the time GT5 released, still not a lot changed. Like I said I really do hope major areas improve but I'm not going to go in with the expectation of that and risk disappointment. Not again.

Is it me or in this video do the hand movements STILL go through the steering wheel when changing gear?
It's only the thumb.
It's also a completely revamped animation system, which as one would expect is still a work in progress most likely and expectably still a little buggy as normal.

Looking at it again, the animation is different to GT5 and it does look better and it does look like it's just the thumb that goes through it. Hopefully that will go come the final release.
