I posted the original in this thread a while back.

I hate it when someone else reuploads some other Youtuber's video, and then has the gall to wack an ad in front of it and earn revenue from it....

Here is the original owner of the video

Heh even GTPlanet's original videos by Jordan get abused in similar fashion!

That's unfortunately Youtube in a nutshell. People ripping other people's videos and acting like they made it, all in the name of view count.

Found this picture of a McLaren MP4-12C that appears to have a GT3-spec body kit without livery. Many of the graphic details like shades and reflections look somewhat GT´ish to me, I could be wrong though I hope I am not... any ideas?

Very informative.

So could it be a gt5 image of a MP4 photoshopped? The bonnet vents do seem like their out of place somehow, apart from that, if it is indeed shopped it´s a pretty nice result IMO

You found nothing. The picture is from FM4, with some heavy post-processing applied.

The author of the image just took a picture of the in-game 2011 McLaren #59 McLaren GT MP4-12C GT3, applied some grey paint and slapped on (what appears to be) WedsSport TC 105 N wheels.

A trace of where that particular image has been on the interwebs:

To help you in the future, google has a reverse image feature.

https://www.google.com/imghp?sbi=1

It will show you where that image also features on the internet, more often than not you'll find the original source.

Thank you Sim... Samus :D

I was trying to trace back that image, showed my inabillity of anything internet I guess, that was before I posted the image here btw.

Good to know this google feature now for the future, thanks again 👍

I know, ridiculous isn't it.

The reason behind that is even more ridiculous, which was discussed here: journalists had 15 minutes with the game. That's absurd in a full fledged event, especially when releasing a video game.

new video from the event by gamespot but nothing interesting

Edit: its already posted sorry for that

There's justified criticism and then there's nitpicking.

There wasn't a full reveal of the game. There were what, 80 journalists there? If all got 15 minutes that sounds perfectly reasonable. That's at least 20 hours total driving to do on however many pods there were. That's enough time to form an opinion and get excited. I'm surprised people got that long.

Can anyone tell me what track is in the background? It doesn't seem familiar to me. I can only think about SSR11... That was hidden in the trailer.

This must have been pointed out before, but why is no-one in that Dino?
Is that why the lights are off?
Is photo travel available on the circuits now, too?
Can the lights be switched on or off at will when driving? I doubt that actually...

Hmm, I wonder if photo travel on circuits does away with the barriers, perhaps optionally, like we saw with Madrid in that video. If so, would it also be drivable like that?

PD can do things we can't. Just because you see such a pic doesn't mean we'll be able to do so.

In fairness, I never said we will. I'm acutely aware of the discrepancies between apparent functionality seen in trailers and that which we get in game, that's kinda the point of this thread.

I still like to think that PD treats these things as eventual targets for the series, though. I also don't recall having seen anything like that before.

I was just thinking out loud, really. :)

But you made the question.

And you got heard, wether good or bad.

Yeah, thanks for your invaluable contribution.
I'll be sure to run all future posts by you so you can exercise that mighty judgment of yours and to allow you to retort with something facile and obvious under the pretence of great wisdom. 👎

Was your post more valueable?

If you're such a sensible person then you better stop thinking loud.
I wasn't attacking you in any way. I wasn't even harsh in my post.
