Notice the delay between the track "loading" and the race beginning after pressing the green button?
Guess it was still loading the cars; definitely going to look into getting a cheapish, "last-gen" SSD before this arrives.

Looks promising, still.

Huks
The loading times look very good in the third video. The time between pressing the Exit button and returning to the track selection menu is only five seconds. MUCH better than GT5. 👍

Incidentally, does the waving flag motif in the loading screen remind anyone else of Crash Team Racing?

Exactly, that's the first thing I was thinking about, CTR :)

About the loading times from a track to the menu, yea they are much faster than GT5, yet loading track itself and cars is slow again.

Yep, SSD disc does its job also in GT5.

I hope they load quick and with an improved UI. Fired up GT5 today and it was painful. I do notice though when you are not signed in to PSN things load up quicker.

It is quite rapid compared to GT5 even with the PS3s using a 40GB hard drive which looking at benchmarks online are quite slow. I can only imagine how much faster it will be using faster mechanical hard drives like the ones in the slim PS3s. Also improved UI should also make things quicker to do so should be quite an improved experience.

How is is possible I've never seen that pic before? Anyway we've already seen three new tracks right? Seattle, willow springs and Silverstone, right?

Don't forget about Apricot Hill and that city track. 👍 Yeah that pic must haven taken from the trailer. :)
Tokyo’s Ginza District

I can see this leading to motion sickness.

Maybe. I can play GT5 for hours without even a hint of motion sickness, but I could only do 30-40 minutes of Forza 3 before I had to take a break. I think it was the field of view that caused it, but perhaps the suspension could have played a part as well.

Not that taking breaks every 30-40 minutes is a bad thing, just interesting how some games cause motion sickness and some don't...

I've yet to come across any game that's given me motion sickness.

SVT Cobra GT
I'm quite intrigued at how that McLaren P1 managed to drift around the F1 like that? Doesn't look that realistic to me, smells a bit Fast & Furious.

The p1 can't drift like the way to do in the video.

Has anyone found out about that tunnel that was shown in the NSX concept trailer... like what is that tunnel? Jordan should ask Kaz

ALOT of people complain about this in games , I personally get it in third person games with that over the shoulder camera, ( off center camera not aiming over the shoulder like in starhawk or gears of war)

I'm about to start editing and uploading the SLS AMG GT3 gameplay footage. It will be on the blog in an hour or so.

Yay! I am really waiting for it! It is the last one, Jordan?

Good thing, it'll keep us warm until E3!

Engine sounds will be anticipated most. You could be cruel and use music in the background :P

As I think I mentioned before, this one unfortunately didn't have the direct line-out audio hookup as the others as it's recorded from a different racing pod.

It does, however, offer a complete look at the full Silverstone GP Circuit, not the "International" layout which all the other videos have shown. It's uploading now.

A good number of the V8 powered vehicles in Gran Turismo 5 sounded pretty great (at least to me). The C63, SLS AMG, C6 Corvettes and the 3G Vette come to mind. I haven't been worried about the 8 cylinders, it the 12 cylinders of the Countach LP400, the V6 of the Dino and the inline-5 of the Quattro that have me worried
