I agree with somebody from the comments. The reflection on the tarmac is pretty sweet. They have definitely amped up the lighting. They weren't kidding when they said the dynamic range increased over 50 times.

*edit
Perhaps it's true that few people use cockpit view. I rarely see people use them. That goes into question why so many hated the standards so much for not having cockpit view.

Driving in anything other than cockpit view is an artificial Driving Aid. I'd like to see it as an option that can be filtered online in the same way you can with driving line or SRF. I wouldn't apply it much but it would be handy to have as an option for some of our single make league races.

Thanks for posting Jordan.

The most forward/zoomed cockpit view is the most "realistic". Unless you drive from the back seat of your real car.

But that cuts down the FOV too much. In real life I can see the complete rearview and both side mirrors. It also cuts down your sense of speed quite a bit.

THanks for the video Jordan, visually very impressive it's turning out to be,Dissapointing sounds again .

You can't see both side mirrors in a real car either, unless you turn your head and look in the direction. If you drive a very narrow single seated car, you can simply look over with your eyes. Yes the most forward camera does need some work. Too bad head tracking doesn't really work.

Wow, you can tell that listening to sound from $20 tv speakers >>> recorded by a $5 mic on a cell phone>>>broadcast over the internet>>>played through your $20 tv speakers? Incredible.

Same thing people said about the GT5 demo and look how that turned out....

Irrelevant. Point is, you can't draw any conclusions from the sound in that video other than pure speculation. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just that you can't make any definitive statements from that video.

Yes you can tell alot from those actually if you listen carefully ,downshifts still sound dissapointing .

Yeah, style not buying. l_T

I think it's better to judge the sound until you ACTUALLY play the demo at least.

Ill be the first one back here to say I told you so. See you soon :)

So you honestly can't make out anything from the video :indiff: ?

It sounds pretty much just like GT5 but I'm unwilling to draw any conclusions until I hear the demo and of course the actual game. Same thing about the physics. People are using body roll in the video as an example of changes in the physics, when it's a video and has nothing to do with what happens with the wheel and pedals. I don't even put much stock in driving impressions from Jordan and the like, no offense. Hoping for the best as always, just to early to tell anything conclusively.

So like what I said, did I mention anywhere that this is how the final product will sound? (NO) ,but you'd have to be very optimistic to think you'll get a big improvment.

If I could turn my head in the game properly then I would use the most forward cockpit view. I'm sure a lot of cockpit view drivers are like myself though. They use the most back and then use their eyes to look around when needed. It's the best we've got.

But yea, the head tracking was a great idea but garbage.:grumpy:
