They can make a car in a week or so given they have all the scans/pictures/CAD data.
6 months = about 1000 man hours, doesn't it?
Whenever they say months or any time period I automatically think man hours. Whether that's right or wrong, well...yeah.
Yes, I presume man hours as well which is why I said 20-30 new cars, not 6. I know they have a moderate sized team and only a portion of that team works on modeling cars so they can't get as many new cars done as we'd like. But I also believe if they spent less time obsessing over some trivial details and building lunar rovers they could crank out a few more new cars. Oh well, what we get is what we get.

I get the lack of new car argument and even had my own rant in another thread and you guys just summer it up.

Its a " been there, done that feeling". GT 5 was 5 years after GT 4 so it wasn't as big a deal, but now that we have driven the same cars through 3 consecutive versions of the game it feels stale.

I'd like to take a radical on the ring, or a 458 challenge around Laguna, or a GT3 Camero around Daytona... All more currently observed stuff in racing today. This is where "cars are the stars" was keyed.

So its cool that our old favorites are there, but what about new favorites? I think they did ok with the racing cars but what about more newer production cars? Cars we might actually drive in real life.

I do love the fact that they included the Suzuki swift, Clio RS, Meagan, and a few others that would be your first rentals if you visit the Nürburgring, but more international cars would also be welcome... I'm looking at you AMG, BMW, etc.

I bet it will be much better when we all get our hands on the game, but seeing all the older content does spark nostalgia without being able to play it.

How is the Lunar Rover tied into the world of GT? Wonder if it was ever explained or if they do so in the game.

Why not take the Xbow on the Ring, the SLS GT3 around Laguna or one of the new BMW race cars around Datoyna (with time change I might add, a new feature). Or even better, a Lightweight Rocket on Brands Hatch, a Shelby Daytona Coupe up Bathurst, or an Audi R8 LMS Ultra around Ascari? Maybe not quite 1:1 to the real world series but close substitutes and certainly new and enjoyable.

That's not right. The TRD 86 Racing (which is pictured in the dealership, though named a Toyota) is this, which is a normal 86 that has racing parts switched in (for safety/durability as well as performance) and is built specifically for this amateur racing series: the 86/BRZ Race in Japan.
Yes, and that's the same car I posted earlier.

Easy, it's all part of the starfield upgrade. They have the moon way off in the background and to be 'correct' that moon needs an abandoned rover on it.
Joke's on Kaz, though--we faked the whole landing. I saw all of Capricorn One, and what they did to poor OJ at the end.

Only saw part of the video and had trouble making things out on my cell phone, but did PD remove Daihatsu from the dealerships or did i just miss it?

If its still there can someone please post a photo.:odd:

To correct this, the car above is the Toyota GT86 RC (like the early '90s ST185 Celica RC). It is built as a base for a racing series. It has limited parts, no AC, no LSD, roll cage, less interior panels and steel wheels. It is also much cheaper than a standard GT86. http://the86.co.nz/86RC/

The TRD GT86 is the most expensive GT86 with heaps of TRD parts added to it. http://the86.co.nz/trd/

To correct myself, it's possibly the TR86 and not the RC. The RC has black bumpers. http://the86.co.nz/TR86/

Still cool either way.

So we can drive and do jumps on the moon. Hmmmnn Demolition Derby: Moon Edition. Can we cruise the whole moon ? Or do we get invisible barriers again ?
Wecan drive across the whole moon, The ENTIRE moon... i can only think theres invisible barriers.

@eSZee thanks!:D

Looks like I can get right to work building my "Pocket Monster" Coure TR-XX Avanzato as soon as I get the game...can't wait!:lol:

Also is that a base model Storia X4 at the end? If so:drool::bowdown::gtpflag:

As far as I know,the Sirion/Storia x4 was paintable in GT5 aswell.

Yes but you ccouldn't RM them.
"Base Model" is GT6's version of RM it appears so yeah I want a Base Model Storia X4.

(Random semi-recent garbage coming up.)

The Huayra's odometer and oil pressure gauge still don't work while the tires are a bit over stretched over the wheels. (Think hellaflush to a lesser degree.)

LFA Nurb's wheel spokes seem too convex, sloping away a bit too much (relative to the center of the car) from the rim to the mounting hub. They don't appear to have the deeper rear wheel offset either.

I'd wish (and likely be denied) that the non-primary dashboard instruments have been made to work and the fixes transferred to the normal LFA.

The BreezeFrees still seem lower at the rear than they should be. As does the new Megane R.S road car. A (sloppy) game trick to change handling balance? Or simply incorrect spec?

All the other wheel and ride height modeling problems of GT5's premiums seem to be carried over as a whole if the dealership thumbnails are any indicator.

It'll be a shame if the M5's, FD2 Civic's and others' wheels still jut into the front and rear bumpers.

OMG...During night there is no reflection at all, you can't even see your own headlights reflected on the other cars oO

When the day comes and the headlights turns off, it's like the AI cars go from mat paint to reflected/regular paint... :(

The AI cars don't have functional headlights... :(

Lights reflection, refraction is asking for too much for current gen. It looks bright enough but A.I drivers must be wearing night vision
