Yet you can see how good graphically speaking Gran turismo 6 is compared to pCARS and this also shows what it is missing because of the hardware...mostly DX11 features, post processing effects, better anti-aliasing, LOD distance, low resolution textures in the environment and some more things...Add that to GT7 and you´ll beat pCARS PC master race graphics.

I know that because I own pCARS and I still love how GT5/6 looks compared to it. In some aspects GT5/6 still wins in my personal opinion. Colour palette, lighting is way better if you don´t look at what is missing. (I play my console and PC games in a 47"Full HD TV at 1080p)

I always found the GT color palette way to saturated. Seems unnatural sometimes.

Graphics comparison between GT6 and Project CARS. This is a lap to Spa-Francorchamps circuit with the Pagani Huayra in both.

You can see where the GT6 version is a little simplified (slightly) in comparison to match the relative powers of the two machines, but the Lighting on the PS3 version is actually better than on the PC, in my opinion...

Thank you SO much! My favourite car, what a stunner! I just really can not wait to test this car on many tracks, especially the Nordschleife of course and then watch the replays and compare the laptimes to other cars! Can't waaiiiiit!

I guess we're going a bit off-topic now, but I did a quick concept sketch.

Roll direction is counter-clockwise.

Flaps undeployed for minimal wind resistance:

Flaps deployed to divert air to the brakes and to increase wind resistance to aid further in braking:

My only concern at this point is wether these rims will act as jet turbines and cause latheral trust? Could cause some scary moments during high speed braking.

Edit: It could also potentially suck a lot of air under the car and make it airborn I suppose. Not what you want when you're braking hard...

At first glance I would say that they will not act like jet turbines. For a jet turbine, the blade is normally a very specialised airfoil, which is then twisted to give it a "straight" look so it can fit in the turbine. As long as it doesn't provide lift as such, you'll be okay. The issue you will have is the possible intake of air, destablilising the car at high speeds and making the front end very twitchy. That could be countered by high downforce aerodynamics on the front of the body though! Nice design!

Reverse the direction and the wheels would pull air from underneath the car over the brakes. While it may not cool the brakes quite as well, it should in theory provide downforce to a closed body racecar with a low, flat bottom. At high speed it would be like having 4 fans pulling the air from underneath!

The car maker doesn't need to model the car or it's interior for the game. This is the game developer's job.
Mercedes simply didn't felt like doing a 3d modelling of the interior, what takes a lot of time and effort, and simply did a 2d rendering of it. PD's should be finishing modelling it, and it will come in a future patch, it seems.
Look, dude, you just proved my point. it takes allot of time and effort to model an interior of a car from a 2d drawing, you just said so yourself. so why on earth should pd do it, and not mb??? its mb's car! and also, even if the car is not completely finished, why cant they just release the exterior, let everyone use it, then when they have finished the interior, release that? what is wrong with that? that is how all games should be released. adding unfinished features is better than not adding features.

Well but mostly it´s to compensate the low resolution of the textures overall. when it comes to the whole composition GT6 does it really good.

In pCARS there is a hell of a lot of saturation everywhere when it comes to textures and in high resolution. Cars looks really good though.

I personally prefer the more balanced look of Assetto Corsa and even in some circuits from rFactor 2 as Mores. (sadly rF2 just uses DX9, yet as I said in some circuits the overall visual "feeling" is really good)
