I'll pick up a cheap starter car and have at it,
I think I will wait to redeem the pre order cars until I know if they go in the garage or not. GT5 gave them to you and made it very tempting to use one of those rather than buy a car and that takes away a bit from the game so I will try and wait on those for a while and make do with whatever starter car I can afford.

Should be fun

I'll probably stroll through Arcade Mode just to check out the new tracks, if they're unlocked. There's no way I'm gonna sit there with 25 pre-order cars in my garage and not use them for at least Arcade. Since there are PP limits in the A-spec races, I'll probably just go ahead and use the bonus cars for them. The A110 and Lotus should do for the Sunday Cup. (Quick question: do we know for sure whether the bonus cars are just given to us like in GT5, or do they just appear in the dealership, or given to us locked until we reach a certain level?)

I also wonder if they will have any online seasonal events up and running on release day.

Edited to add: From the table at the bottom of this page, it appears that the pre-order cars are more powerful than the regular models, and that there are prices attached to the bonus cars (uh-oh).

ive started the last 5 by buying the 3.0 supra turbo as the first car (usually in green oddly enough) then start A spec till its done then start to buy, drive and generally enjoy yet another great GT game!

Not planning it that much but I will probably save enough cr to buy a car that takes my fancy, probably an F40, and then spend time hooning it round some tracks at varying times of day with varying weather conditions. Especially looking forward to Brands Hatch, being relatively local :0)

I will be playing the same way I have in the past: as if it's real life. That is, get some money, buy my first car, do a few races, upgrade car and buy other cars, race some more, buy more cars, upgrade more cars, race some more and so on. Works for me!

Assuming they exist...

Gold all Licenses -> Gold all Special Events -> blast through A spec with anniversary edition cars -> grind -> start acquiring all cars in the game.

This being my sixth time, I plan on breaking tradition(some will cringe) and using exclusively the pre-order bonus cars for a-spec. If licenses are required I will do those first and then start working on all the a-spec events and seeing how far I can go without spending a single CR. With whatever cash I manage to save without buying cars or upgrades I will purchase only the cars I need to complete a-spec. Hopefully I can get that done before b-spec is released in a patch. When most of a-spec is finished I will do special events and then b-spec, begin car collecting starting with Alfa's, Ferraris, and classic cars. End game will be spent collecting, tuning, and testing which for me is the core of the game.

That is pretty much exactly how I will do it. However I'll be doing special events in and between A-spec as they are unlocked.

I'm gonna try to rip through it as fast as humanly possible. I'll be livestreaming it for the GTPlanet Podcast (link in signature) so be sure to check it out next Friday to see how I do :)

I wonder what you will need to do in order to get three stars. Maybe there are some special requirements, simply finishing 1st would be boring.

Catch this guy:

He'll be running really fast. Until he has to turn or slow down. And if you get near him, he'll just let you run past. He gets a huge headstart so you have to run twice as fast just to keep up.

So basically I have to chase one of these around:

I think there aren't licenses as in previous games this time, after seeing screenshots. Have a look at these:

What looks like an 'N' (Novice) license in the first screenshot is actually part of the career mode, with 3 events: Sunday Cup, Enjoy Cup, Novice Championship, [Optional] Coffee break.

Once you get enough "stars" by winning races you get access to an "exam", and if you pass it then you can start racing in the next class (B national).

Nice :D

Gold = 3 stars, silver = 2 stars, bronze = 1 star

First star: Time attack
Second star: race AI
Third star: race AI on reverse course?

And seeing how we start at 30, 000Cr., I dont think ill be able to start the game in a '68 or '72 Lotus Europa.

I believe it also MUST be <350 PP.

Which means no El Camino as my first car...
