This is a thread where people can come share their playlists and see what music other people are racing too.I myself am trying to change up and expand my soundtrack but I'm so far out of the loop on good music at this point and I figure other may be in the same place. It seemed like a good idea to have a thread to serve as place to get custom soundtrack ideas.

I like to mix things up for racing, Keeps everything fresh. My favorite styles of music for racing are Funk, Big Band Jazz, British Rock, Classic Rock, Techno (dance beats), punk, and thrash.

If you want a song that makes you want to go real fast and aggressive then try Static X - Speedway or Control It.
 
This list of songs would give me a headache, so I much prefer the GT6 actual music.

I love the jazz / saxo song of the menu, I don't know the name.

Definately not a headache though.
I'm talking about songs when you're in the race, not the menu.
But if menu I guess you would like Celldweller

;p I don't listen to hip hop or dubstep.
I perfer instruments in use.
Like Rock or Metal etc..
I'm not saying thet dubstep is bad, it's just my taste, everybody has a different one.
To me GT6 music is okay. Jazz, probably the only new game that isn't filled with dubstep, I kind of like that.
IF you like dustep then play the new Need For Speed.
I prefered the old NFS music style, Really heavy rock added to the game which made you press the throttle even harder.
 
I think this is the first time I've left the menu music on in a GT game - quite mellow and I even have the race music on quietly too.

As for the OP's suggestion that the music should provoke more aggressivle racing - put your own BGM in there dude, as not everyone has the same taste - don't get me wrong here, I'm not a mellow-music-only lover, I have plenty of heavy music and quite like my Rammstein or Zeni Geva...just not when racing.
 
Doctor Awesome is the worst song in any GT in history...this is a real lyric:

I bumber this, because I found the name of the song I liked most in the Menus, and I'm absolutely astonished that the song apparently CAN'T BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET :boggled:

So what is your Personal sound track you have while racing in GT6. I have the God Of War sound track and its kinda cool. if yall have the Soundtrack, try it out. its kinda epic. it gets your heart pumping when it reaches a Climax and its a good feeling when you when pass the finish line right at that moment!!!
 
I haven't set any up yet but on GT5 i had Alice in Chains "Dirt" album. Anytime i hear a song from that album i always think of driving around Laguna Seca for that endurance race.
 
Only songs from Swindle's in my tracklist. I've been thinking about extending it to songs that's similar, but I haven't gotten that far yet. :P

Sir Mix-a-lot is a car nut through and through, 90% of his music relates to cars and driving. It actually kinda sucks Baby got back was such a pop hit, as he was awesome back in the day. Most of his stuff is pretty fast paced, great for tight twisty tracks like NUR (or the Dragon IRL)
This guy lives Gran Turismo in real life.
