Liking the new site XS, very easy to navigate and looking good!đź‘Ť

It's a great service you have been providing for the community with your directory. I for one, salute you! And wish you all the best in your endeavour.:gtpflag:

Yes - definately x2 on this đź‘Ť

Doing something for others is often alot of work and sacrifice with little reward.

Well done so far XS, hope you stick with it

A suggestion, which may only be really useful on the main section. Look into adding a dropdown where one can select a manufacturer. It shouldn't reload to a specific page but just move me down to the appropriate area. Next to each Manufacturer title add a (small) "Back to top" to get back to the dropdown. Someone with more recent web programming knowledge may be able to help you better than I can with what would be required.

Hey XS, great job with the new site, looks awesome and thanks again for taking the time and effort to help the community, really appreciated man! :D

Hi XS and all your other tuners...
First, thanks to all for the good work đź‘Ť - keep it up...

I relatively new in this, started with GT5 2 years ago and had a lot of help finding tunes in this forum.
Praiano, Adrenaline and HamiCity are some tuners I personally would like to say thanks to, since their setups worked for me....

This is somehow also the reason for this post, - after I looked at what people have been posting.

All tunes are not suited for everybody - it's personal like driving style
- so all tunes are/ can be good, in principe, for some....

As a input to making a new tune directory, in my mind it should all be complete tunes - or at least functional tunes.
New tunes/tuners are of cause welcome and all are rookies at some point.

In order for at tune directory to be convenient, and relevant, to use I got the idea of making a approve/put-it-to-the-test
sub-folder. This would not have to apply to 'certified' tuners, with have proven themselves over the years ;-)

It would make it easier for XS or other moderator to see if the setup was relevant to add to the directory.
It could be by numbers of 'likes' - maybe without comments, to make it even more easy.

Limit could be 25 or 50 ( or a 100 ? ) likes to 'earn' the right to the directory ?
- or the reverse : 25 no likes = nice try, you should work some more on it ?
I really don't know how many use this forum, but if 5-10 % likes something - it probably works for more ...

see ya all on the track...

- and I REALLY miss the GT5 settings window + total overview over car settings. Probably to much to hope for improvement in an update:scared:
Luckily, the driving experience is improved ;)

But what about the people who want to start tuning? I have posted two tunes in the past few days, if people need to vote up each tune, not all of my tunes would be accepted. If I tune an unpopular car, very few people would beable to see it.

Basically what I'm saying is that a better way to separate the best tunes from ok tunes would be also useing the like section, but only seperateing tunes that have 50 or more likes. Also, the big tuners may produce a lot, but not all of their tunes are great. If they don't like the car, the tune won't be as good.

Likes is the worst idea to go buy. Many tuners have amazing tunes but their tuning thread is not as known as others that have been here since the beginning. It's unfair to exclude them because they have no likes. I say leave it the way it is and its up to us to do the research and find the best tune that suits our driving style.

You're creative, good job. Just because I don't implement someone's entire idea/suggestion doesn't mean it isn't put to use. I think about every suggestion people submit. I certainly can't please everybody, but I do think long and hard about others' ideas and use them in some way to make a better final product. The directory now truly is an assembly of the ideas and suggestions this community has cranked out. So I apologize, I cannot implement your idea right now, as I see a couple problems with it, plus as I've said before, this directory is an unbiased listing of every tune. I know that makes it more difficult for the user to find what they're looking for, but what if a phone book only listed businesses that have great Yelp reviews? It wouldn't be a very good phone book if half of the city businesses weren't listed in it. Also, take Real Replica Tunes, for example. They're veteran tuners, yet you'd be hard pressed to find many "full" tunes in their garage. Yet many people, myself included, find their setups to be of great help. Your idea isn't bad, and it gets me thinking so, if anything, it's a welcome contribution. Right now things will remain as they are, but we are getting closer to a conclusion to this topic as I've discovered some really neat Google webmaster tools last night. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion đź‘Ť, and thanks for the kind words.

I seriously didn't like that idea at all.
as far as tuning goes, I do it in hopes I can help others. If I thought I was going to be judged for everything I did, lol, then it wouldn't be worth it. If you hold open a door for someone, should there be a panel of judges telling you how well you did it? If you donate money to a cause, should people judge you by how much you donated?
No. No, because when you do something nice for others, it is a positive thing. Some of these cars can and have taken days and days to tune, I think if I DIDN'T share it, I would be being selfish knowing I could save others all that time. Plus, I try hard, I do so because when someone tries one of mine, I want them to be having as much fun as possible, no strings attached.

Now, as far as tuning CONTESTS go, yeah, that's different. Judge your heart out, lol.
does anyone understand my point, or am I just weird, lol?

Peace

Sorry for the late update today guys, my Internet went down for several hours , living in the boonies sucks sometimes.

Help!
I'm really unfamiliar with the tuning forums so please be patient with me.

I have a really good beginner tune for Honda S2000 '03. It was developed for the seasonal events (470pp tyres: CS) but it's really good as an all purpose tune as well. I managed to chase down a Lexus LFA and win the "Tour of Japan" series.
I just don't know where to post it, if someone could help, that would make my day. Thanks :D

By the way, đź‘Ť to XS for the directory.

I suggest starting a new thread. If you think you'll have more tunes down the road, then come up with a garage name for yourself. If you really feel ambitious, create your own tuning charts/templates.

XS, sorry to trouble you, but you put my Plymouth Cuda 440 six-pack '71 tune under the "340 six barrel" title.

Also, if it's not a lot of trouble, could you change my tunes with "demonchilde" over to Devil's Playground?

From what I see, all are good but these;
Amuse S2000 R1
Camaro z28 race car '69
Ford GT '05
HKS ct230r
Stielow engineering red devil
Audi ultra anniversary edition

Thanks man ^^
