Thank you very much, I appreciate that. It's amazing how much time you have on your hands when you're single LOL. I'll be quite frank, I'm rolling out as much as I can now because, one, I said I'd try to and I enjoy the challenge, and two, once spring and summer come I'm usually rarely in one place for long because of hobbies and such. That's not to say I won't be updaing the index, just I don't plan for any updates during that time.

I can edit the list in whatever browser I want, but Chrome didn't crash every two minutes like Internet Explorer did. It was just an alternative suggestion to editing the scripting settings in your browser.

Does your directory page use Vbscript? Apparently Mozilla doesn't support that.

if you dont mind me posting here, im trying to get S.T.S(Silvers Touge Shop) some more viewers we tune for touge.

Home page:

we are asking people the cars they want us to tune for them

Thanks Island:sly:
This really isn't the place for that. Most people don't view the thread this far back anyway. Only tuners usually.
Hey, can i have a tune for the Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI spec C Type RA '05? thanks :)
The link is in the first post.

Site works well on my Galaxy Note 3 as well, although the interface can be a bit clunky on a touchscreen. Might have to look into making an app myself to give a more finger and mobile friendly layout to the directory.

Still, XS, what is the format you want us to post tunes ? Do you want that A+B+.... thingy ?
Nah, like I said just do as you have been doing. I actually look at the tunes when I update, mainly because I'm curious and I enjoy using your guys' tunes. So just give me the link like you have been and that's fine. Although, I do like it when you post the pp and tires info with the links. Seriously BlueShift, just giving me the link itself is much appreciated. If you want to give me more info that's fine too. I'll leave it up to you. Thanks!!

Would getting rid of the PP slider help? I can also use search boxes instead of drop-down boxes. It seems to work alright on my iPad but I wish it worked better on mobile than it does. I have the site auto-adjust for mobile, but it's kind of a conflict because while the site is optimized for mobile, google (for whatever reason) doesn't really like google Docs being used with mobile. It's obvious they made it just usable enough to get by. At this point I don't have a work-around for that because that "gadget" is the only one available that lets you input HTML, which is necessary for the tune links, and lets you edit it's own code which is necessary here and there too. Unfortunately I don't know enough about code to build my own app or gadget from the ground up.

Mobile stuff made like web were back in 2000 :)

I've started working on an app for this, will have to PM you about how to grab data from the sheets, probably via Google Fusion Tables since the Android SDK can make an app talk to a Fusion Table. As for an iOS app, I have neither a Mac nor an iOS device, so someone else will have to develop an app for iOS if there's demand for it.

App is starting to take shape, the Physics Info button takes you to the FITT Physics thread, the Submit a Tune button takes you to this thread. First button does nothing at the moment, but I'll be working on that part of the app tomorrow ^_^

If it's a mobile version of the directory I want all the helpful links available, not just the FITT thread. I think we probably should have talked about this. The only way I can think the app can be updated when the site is updated is if it uses the same google sheets that the site uses, in which case what's the point of the app then? I'm sure I'll have more questions when I wake up some lol. Is there even a need for an app? How many folks here want an app? Let us know.

How I plan for it to work is have the app pull data from a Fusion Table (which pulls data from the Google Sheet), and then organise that in a more touch-friendly way. It will have all of the refine search options from the site, plus some other ones like searching by model. It will use the UI-scaling features present in Holo/Android 4.0+, so tablets get two display fragments (e.g. tune types down the left hand side of the screen with the tune list taking up the rest of the screen) on screen at any time, whereas phones will have only one fragment.

Searching by model might now work. I have that coded to the tune link, so anytime you try and search for the vehicle model it also brings up every tuner on GTP that has that model name in their thread title so you end up with a jumbled list of different cars if you try to search by model.

Hmm, that's a good point. I could hard-code the vehicle list, but that would be a HUGE pain in the butt, especially as the list of tunes expands and the list of unique vehicles tuned expands with it. Fusion Tables might be able to pull the name as plain-text and separate the link for it, I'll have to look into it.
