I was oversteering everywhere. Now, I normally drive the Huracan with -2 brakes (I like the extra grip exiting corners).
This is interesting because I always run a front bias because I like extra braking in to the corners.

I think it comes down to preference and style and some times the car.

For Fuji and my QT at spa I just used 0 but my QT at spa is like 1millionth Fuji is about 1500th but the gr2 stuff is a bit crazy.

Never really done any photos on GT7 so thought id have a go, see below some images taken from my race video above, not the best but its my first attempt and there is so many photo options to choose from, wasn’t really sure what i was doing to be honest.

I only did two laps of qualifying for Race A just now, and got a time of 1:42.286 - just outside the top 4k!
A top tip from me is brake far less than you are doing, on this race i barely touch my pedal before im back off it and turning in, there is turn in arrows on the walls telling you when you should turn in, when they are dead level with the edge of your screen turn in and commit to the apex, if you hit the wall when you hit the apex, next time around let the turn in arrow disappear before you turn in.

Do the above for each bend and you’ll be smashing it in no time, this is exactly how i got my 1.38:5xx, took me all of Monday night to master it, this is why i love this track, once you figure it out the satisfaction of clattering round there without clipping any walls is just immense, proper addictive for me.

Cool, I'd like to see a couple replays of your races if you're able to save them, if you don't have any footage now, that's fine. What matters is that you guys are having fun out there on the track. Be careful and not hit or brush up against the wall, sometimes those penalties are nasty. That's why I dread racing at Tokyo. I tend to be hasty and go fast and not be careful.
Hers is one of my races i uploaded the other night, enjoy 😊

Nice work! I’ll put some time into a 1.39 this weekend, need to study tidges guide a little, don’t think I’m getting a win this weekend at this rate,

Also on race b I managed to get a 100th under @Barney Da Dog time so it’s very tight out there this week!
If you can do a i.39:xxx you can get a 1.38:xxx too….

What ive noticed is, when i set a QT fast time, its never on lap one, on lap 2 ill get a 1.39:2xx or there about but to nail a 1.38xxx i must get the last bend before the finish straight perfect and nail the exit, you’ll know right away when you’ve done it because the timer will turn blue and will climb rapidly, before you hit the first bend you’ll be like -300 off your previous lap, you then need to carry that extra speed thru the next two bends and down the tunnel.

It’s all about carrying the additional momentum you gained from nailing the exit on the last corner before the straight, if I don’t nail that exit im pissed, because i know the next lap is already down the pan and I don’t wanna hit restart because it will take me another 2/3 laps to build up the momentum again, also revving the nuts off it in 2nd and third gear helps too, after all its a Japanese car and it loves being thrashed.

Good luck 👍

Thank you admin for assisting me with my post, that multi quote thing blew my mind, id never seen that before, i was hitting quotes and then was like where’s the quote, hit it again, added to multi quote, wtf is multi quote arrrgghhh, i get it now thou, cheers :)

Thanks for the tips and the video, the corners I struggle with are that last one and the sweeping downhill to the right one, but as race b isn’t offering much this week, I’ll hang out at A 😁

Tidgney’s guide did help mostly, once I’d worked out how to take the uphill right hander without braking the time started to come to me and so know what you mean with the momentum, it does take a few laps to get the right lap going!

Yep that last corner is tricky, you have to be ever so light on the brake or the car gets really unsettled, too heavy on the pedal and it’s almost like it’s a RWD car and I find myself opposite locking to keep it on line

Whenever I'm in the lead I get so nervous my legs are shaking.

That's honestly why I almost never drive online.

Just lost a race in the very last corner in Spa because I got punted, but also because I couldn't break properly.
I liked this one, don’t worry you are not alone, I’m constantly checking the times after each corner until I settle down, just keep going there are wins to be had when you least expect it - racing online is as unexpected as life itself, all sorts of things can happen, including being punted off! Take it in your stride and you’ll appreciate wins when they come along 👍

Getting punted is kinda out of my control so I’m not too worried about that. My legs shaking and not being able to use the break pedal as a result though….. 😂😂

That’s normal, on Race A this week if im not under pressure, I don’t scrape the walls and i am generally a couple of seconds in front by the start of lap two, but…. if someone is on my bumper my driving is complete different, im bouncing off walls and all sorts, its so difficult to be calm and relaxed when you are under pressure, don’t worry that’s a normal reaction :)

The difference between games and reality:

Yesterday when I saw a Lamborghini Huracan drive past me on the street, my first thought was "Whoa! That's badass!".
Immediately after that, my second thought was about the thousands of miles I've driven the Gr.3 and Gr.4 Huracans in daily races, and how I could show that Lambo owner how to really drive his car.
After a few minutes, I got realistic and figured that sadly, I would probably wreck that car if I tried to really drive it. :embarrassed:

One of those Sundays waiting for the next weeks races to appear id say.

Couple of wins and some races with @bone_tone and his GTP stickered up civic, reminded me my school days with my mates Renault 5 which only had 3 seats (missing the front passenger and the drivers windscreen wiper so he had to do that manually 🤣😂)

I’m really warming to this race A, just couldnt quite get the last tenth to beat @Mc_Yavel time but it’s been fun, also bro, 2 easy trophies to plat GT sport, you need to do that, thanks for the add

Until next week peeps

I did not watch any lap guide but it's kind of all there. You just need to connect all the black circles. There are the "turn in" circles, then "the apex" circles, then the "apply throttle out of corner" circles and finally the "exit corner" circles. Just that one curvre with an arrow.

Same for me, I feel way more relax when my front bumper is 1cm close to the car in front than when I'm leading with someone on my bumper. Most of this comes from the fact that I'm afraid of getting rear ended into a corner so I stress and make all kind of mistake. When I'm behind, I'm more relax, I will lift before braking and then I know there is no reason to miss the apex since I'm slower than usual. I also know I'm playing in the head of the guy in front and he's the one who gonna try to push more.

The chance to Daily Race together are none but at least we can have little fight on the leaderboard. We have the same pace, our races would be legendary!
Will need to look what's missing for Plat in GTS. Never really a target of mine, but only two missing, should have a look.

Best overtake of the week. The last one is marvelous. Had to time my turn in pefectly to fit my car in that space without lifting on hitting.

Then this entire sector 3 door to door from this morning race

I really don't know what the point of setting a good time at Fuji (1.30:9) and have only survived T1 2 times and of the 6 other races 3 times I'm taken out with these weird dive bombs :/

Roll on tomorrow morning.
That’s one or the reasons ive kept clear of Race C this week and because I've been enjoying Race A so much too.

I am also glad that Race A had no DR points this week, I've done a minimum of 6 races per day from Monday. As I managed to do a top 50 QT for the first ever time, every race I started on pole. Ive won every race I did, bar one, which i came 2nd in.

I would say my skill set is low to mid DR A, I am yet to get the the middle of DR A. If i had received points for every race i did this week I would be at the very least high DR A if not DR A+, which im sure people will be thinking that would be great. However, my thought process is, yep id love to be DR A+ and do hope i get there eventually, but it wouldn’t be long before I was on my way back down the ranking, like tomorrow night lol.

The speed ive been carrying this week does not happen in any other race or any other car, im normally top 500 - 1500 in a GR3 or 4 car, track dependant as im better on some than others. When the new races arrive, I would get utterly destroyed if i was in all A+ races, it would be false economy if you get what i mean, no way am I an A+ driver currently.

Now this has me thinking, why am i so quick in a road car around this specific Tokyo track ? the only thing i can put it down to is the fact I barely need to use the brakes at all, its a slight press on the pedal, back off again and go which is an unusual scenario for every corner on one track.

That said, i have thoroughly enjoyed owning Race A this week but no way, am i letting myself think that’s going to happen next week :D

Roll on another week in the near future when this Tokyo track appears again

Awesome videos mate, it has been great racing in A this week and just something different to the usual gr3/4.

I’ve been living with the mantra, ‘if I hit the wall I let the chasers pass thinking I’ll have a go next corners, good clean racing is there to be had, considering no one wants to hit the wall im surprised how clean it’s been!

This is the way, if the other car go for a move, better let him go, Fighting each other is slowing us down both so much, the pack will be there soon and that's when thing get ugly.

Most of the time, drafting brings me right on the bumper of the car in front but since the track is fast and flowy there is no move to be done. I just stay put behind and keep the pressure. The racing is good already, there is no need to go for a killer move that ruin both of our race.

This is interesting because I always run a front bias because I like extra braking in to the corners.

I think it comes down to preference and style and some times the car.

It's my typo...I meant to write UNDERsteering everywhere.

None the less, since I left the brakes alone I've been consistently in the top 5.

On a separate note, I'd like a little feature added. Maybe PD can add a little gold star to the end of race rankings for those who get the clean race bonus. It might help with the post race rage of those who drive like crap and then get upset because you took advantage of them.

I had three races last night with the same guy starting either directly ahead of me, or a car ahead (btw, I finished all with the CRB). The first race, he screwed up T1 of spa right at the start, stopped way too early, and I jumped on the inside. He got very upset post race. Then, in race two, after watching him slam into everyone around him on the first lap, he noticed I was behind him and he decided to brake check me because "I didn't learn" (he said so post race). He ruined the race for me, and several people around us. None the less, the game knows when someone brake check you, and I still go the CRB.

Then, race three, he's quite talkative in the chat. He's going to make me "learn", to which I responded "ok" ;)

There was one car between us for the first two laps. At the start of lap three, exiting T1, I accelerated past that car and began the chase. I know he's still hitting people because there's the tell tale puffs of smoke from the contact. Anyway, I'm closing in. I am focused on my lap, but he must have overcooked it somewhere because I can see "+0.5" over his car

:D

I passed him in the penalty zone, finished ahead of him, and got my third straight CRB.

I posted an "lol" in the comments.

So ya, maybe a highlight or something for the CRB. It might make some reevaluate their driving, although, it likely won't :D

Anyone who leaves the race whether by disconnect or by quitting is given last place with the maximum penalty to DR.
Hi.

No Sir.
I just made a test. Quit a race, the game gave me a top 5 finish and the sportsmanship bar got a loss of about 1/10.

Cheers

Great to see you again - a bit daunting when we appeared with you on pole, and me P2 though!

Did you notice how I managed to hold them all off so you could scamper away to the win? 😆

I got pushed into the wall on the last lap by the Brit who started behind me, so he and the very fast German guy got past me! I couldn't work out how that German guy was so fast - he started P4, was in P3 before turn 1, and then passed me before turn 3....

He then put it into the wall though, but still managed to get back into contention for the podium.

Just that one curvre with an arrow.
Any corner you have lift or brake for has the turn in arrow, not just the first one 👍🏼 see images below

Yes but not directly, you'll lose enough SR to be DR reset.

But no you don't lose DR directly just SR
Reason I ask is there’s been a few times this week I’ve noticed people quitting Race A, with it only being 4 laps and under 7 mins long in total, I don’t understand their mindset, no matter what had happened in the race you would just finish it as it’s so short and save your SR.

Probably to make daily B or C start times. Or the Manu cup yesterday and Wednesday.

Quitting a few won't affect DR so the only incentive to stay is SR but that's easier to repair than DR.

Out of curiosity do you know the DR of some of the drivers that quit?

It's like some of them I don't use so I don't see them anymore :boggled:

@Rossell2 Welcome back to the gt7 daily race club, glad you're back doing races with us. We are all a wise, strong, quick and smart community that cannot beat any other gaming website like this. Have you enjoyed the track and car combos for this week? The new physics are fine, I guess. What are your thoughts on them and the new cars?

SR is important because it reflects on how good and polite of a driver you or anyone can be. About 60% of my overall races were clean which is okay, I suppose. But I could have done better the past 2 years.

Not unless there were only five people in the race.
At the time I quit, there were 11 players.

I had 2504 top 5 finishes, exit to the main menu and when I return to the dailies menu my top 5 is 2505.
The few times this happened (only a couple, because I don't quit races unless for a phone call or some disco PS issue),
I always had one more top 5 added.

And as far as I remember, this happened at any daily, not only in a specific one.

Then you would have finished 11th. You always finish last of the current race order by the number of people remaining when you quit.

Quitting races causes Sport Mode data update lag: nothing is updated - including DR - until after the race you quit has finished. There's a rather obvious reason for this.

You should contact the people who were remaining in the race and ask them to send a screenshot of the finishing order. I bet you weren't classified fifth.
