For DR rating, I feel like is quite easy to change DR rating, I managed to get from B to D by rage quitting, then back up to B within a week. Though my problem is that, apart from not being very fast, I tend to do my practice in race so I have spend the first couple nights at the back end, eventually I get good and start getting podiums and then get back to B in time for the next week. Rinse and repeat.
I understand the want to be at the right skill level, could be really fun. Had a win in Race C where the leader got punted by a silly driver in turn 2 in the first lap, allowing me to take the lead. Then it was a cat and mouse with the former leader in the Supra as I tried to put in fast laps (relatively) and build a gap. Then as I drive more conservatively, the Supra (who would had galloped away probably as they are faster than me) started eating away at my lead. 4 seconds turned to 2.5, so at lap 8 I had to hurry up again and push slightly. Gap stabilised back at 3 seconds, then lap 10 they really started to push and I started missing my braking points a bit trying to match and by lap 12 (Final lap) he was 1.5 seconds behind. They probably misjudged in turn 1, giving me a 2 second gap and breath a lot easier to the finish. Almost zero car to car action, but equally it was very gripping.
Having races with clean drivers in C/B DR is really fun. They aren't so fast and consistent that they won't routinely get laps within 0.1 seconds difference of each other, and when they push, they really can gain time time on you but the mistakes can also creep in. Also kudos to the BoP, my Mustang didn't feel overpowered or underpowered. I feel this is what we kinda just want; while there will always be a meta car, is great to just pick a car and be at least competitive.
