Wow talk about funnelling people into Race C, lol, could it be more obvious?

Mazda Roadster at Tsukuba is the definitive GT Sport Race A, so much for their adventurous rulesets for this one.

Laughed out loud at Race B, Same track and same series but a different layout, what a bad joke!

There had been signs of improvement recently... They may as well have made this Race A - Watkins Short, Race B Watkins long Gr 4, Race C Watkins long Gr 3.

Mazda Roadster at Tsukuba is very very nice race but why they locked the manual transmission? it is a M/T car and it would be more fun.

Are we back to car bashing and dirty racing now Race B has gone back to a short track with x1 fuel and tyres? These short races bring out the bad in people. It was quite civilised last week on Race C and I had some really really good racing (excluding the odd few who still used dirty tricks)

Glad Race C has some tyre strategy involve.

Not too fused about Race A but I will give it try when in next online

Whelp, race C it is for me & me beetle this week at 1st, ill try other cars later..i think i will do a no qualy for first few races, then a lil 1 lap qualy for few more before i do a try hard one with beetle once i get my strategy with tires down, maybe that will keep me from some of the beginning week carnage

Watkins Glen is a great track. The early races have been pretty typically messy as people try and get used to the track.

My early feelings are that the Genesis seems meta but I really dislike it. I’d expect the GT-R and the M6 to be very strong as well.

Apparently the game has a feeling there's something not right about my MX-5. It's just not sure what :D

It's the engine swap to the Corvette V8

Im sure they have made changes to this car in the last week or two. It now drives so much better and feels more stable. I used it at RBR a few weeks back and it was a bit twitchy at times.

Probably because you're on softs instead of hard tyres

Wish B was a few laps longer. Ending 10 minutes before the next slot is always lame, and they never seem to learn their lesson - B was a good length last week, I don't know why the deviate from that.

A is still a flying shame to me. I love that combination but there's no point racing it when it doesn't count for anything, such a waste.

C is poppin tho.

Same here. It's good fun, and seems to fit me, could maybe bolster my DR there. Have not yet put a Q lap down, started three races (with quite some DR A guys in it) from the back and finished P3, P4, and would have had another podium if I hadn't mistaken the pit entry sign with a styrofoam block.

It seems to be concrete instead. :)

Race C has mechanical damage? Some pelican punted me to death into a wall and I couldn't steer and engine wouldn't rev lol. Lost an obscene amount of time limping around the track, pitted at a terrible time (started M tires and had to pit on lap 2...) then got punted again as i exited pits. Then I rage quit

And if they finally get it fixed... hopefully she'll do more than just those 3 races a week.. why not 6 different races.. I don't get it... sort of like 2 different A races, 2 different B Races and 2 different C races.. one fuel and one endurance race each.
not sure theres enough players in every region to go around at present. there probably is overall, but would mean mixing rankings more, which doesn;t bother me tbh.

There is mechanical damage in almost every race. After a few seconds, however, this damage disappears and then you can drive with your usual speed and handling again. So next time stay cool.
Pushing into the wall can unfortunately happen, but it's not always the fault of the riders behind you. Sometimes it's the drivers who are rammed because they either don't behave nicely or sometimes brake too far and the drivers behind them don't expect it and consequently can no longer react.

Perhaps some are not satisfied with the races that are offered and therefore do not drive... but yes, the problem is the 2 consoles, which apparently still have separate lobbies in sport mode.

yes, I've beem guilty of braking too early or smashing into the back of people before when they've done similar.

I think it was you that mentioned a while back that its worth learning different lines into bends, to minimize chance of going right into back of another car.

Yup. Every time I punt someone before a corner it is exactly because of that. Every single time.

I swear. 😇🤣

I often pull out of the slipstream of the car in front as we approach the braking zone to try and avoid running into the back of them. Sure it confuses some people as they end up running wide at the corner and I gain a place

Oh man. This game has a habit to kick me in the n%ts sometimes...

Race B, took some quali laps in the Audi, then the Alfa, and it went fairly well. Entered my first race, and find myself on pole. Oh dear. A nervous old man with a bunch of Alfas behind him... what can possibly go wrong? But surprisingly, everything went well, seven clean laps, finished P1 4 seconds ahead. Whoohoo!

And then, as I'm trying not to forget saving the replay to send it to the museum of racing history, the yellow banner of doom appears in the upper right corner of the screen: disconnect, you're in offline mode... and it wasn't my WiFi! Win gone, fastest lap gone, pole gone, CRB gone, DR improvement gone, replay gone...aarghh!

I need a break.

I'm sorry to insist in this ridiculous and highly unfair set from PD, to Daily C race again.

All my bought of soft tyres for GT3 cars, from previously races, were gone!?
If I want to race with my garage cars, I have to spend again, 30,000 for each set of tyres for each car.
This, because I never race with the 'meta' car and I never use the same car to the next race.
I always change it in a loop way, which means, I always race with all cars, not one, not two or three.
That is the fun factor for me, drive all cars in a game with hundreds of them.

Therefore, if I use 20 cars in Daily C I will spend 600,000!!!
All because of this stupid set, that is nice for who don't buy cars. No need, all is free.
It's alright for me that the free cars don't need to buy tyre sets, but then, make things fair for the idiots (like me) that bought cars.

Or the master mind that set the Dailies, want only cup races with only one car model?

Oh... And new ideas are needed, because so many tracks and cars provide more fun that the master mind is giving.

If PD needs some ideas, can contact me, by the way.

Ridiculous!!

But you finished that race, correct? The record should be intact. The server would know that you won.

It would be strange if it didn't save that because of a disconnect.

As for this week's race C, do I need to pit and switch from medium to soft, as in, there is no choice?

As for this week

Medium to soft, or soft to medium - yes, you have to pit and use both types during the race.

I always wonder when they're seeing everyone else pit, are they thinking 'aha, I've outsmarted them! suckers!'
I do wonder too what some people think when they start last, see all the cars pit and end up been first because they are the only ones to not pit. Had it on the manufacture race at weekend on my Asia AC. Was leading then pitted and came out 2nd. I assumed they maybe pitted on L1, but then I realised they didn’t stop at all. Then they started to block and race me thinking they was going to win. Bet they were devastated when they crossed the line in P2 to then see there name drop down to P14.

Does this mean we have heavy damage activated at Watkins Glen and it needs a pit stop to repair?

Thanks for the info. It disconnected when the final standings were on screen, right after the time ran out. I didn't know my exact stats by heart, so I'm not sure if it counted. The DR progress bar hasn't changed, though.
