Not sure about this week. Race B I'm a bit off the pace (though my friends leader board are A/A+ at the moment and I'm lowly B so perhaps not too bad) and it will probably become my DR race with more practice. Race C I am horribly off the pace. Not even close so I'll probably just avoid that. Me and Gr.4 cars are not getting along at the moment.

Race A is fun and I entered one but totally fluffed the first lap. Came last. Got off the line from P5 okay, perhaps too well, as I did not account for that in my braking and punted the guy in front at T1. The RA272 takes a long time to brake. Sorry guy in front. This one gave me 5 seconds of penalties. Deserved. I also had some off track moments after that shaky start dropping me to the back. One thing to note is that when the game auto brakes you for the application of penalties be ready for it! In the RA272 it caused me to spin out. Even more loss of time. All in all a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad lap. I should move to Australia... :banghead:

Not sure what that did to my SR as the rest was fine after that....

I'm going to race A more. Hopefully, there will be less of a wide field. My race had A+ to B drivers in it with a bunch that were obviously good but had no QT.

Currently I feel like an imposter in DR B. Though I think that might drop back to DR C soon if I don't get some results in race B this week; as it's on the edge. I'm just not keeping pace with the B crowd. Or I have demential and I forgot how to drive. Probably the later... Now what was I saying?

The Honda F1 car is fun, very different driving experience, brakes are tricky to stop her from sliding too much.

Genuinely, in these weeks I go out of my comfort zone and I will race less but I will double down on the GR4 race C

It's a good proving ground and better paced way to learn strats, get QT times and focus for a slightly extended time. I prefer sprints and if I'm honest I do better in GR4 sprints than GR3. But I really enjoyed the willow GR4 race and over time did well there.

Interlagos GR3 isn't an enjoyable race for me. Just personal preference and Catalunya isn't much better either in my opinion.

It's perfectly normal to move up and down a few times.
Soon you will stick in N

In race A brake at the 100 meter board on lap 1.

And lift before you brake so the suspension compressed.

7 races on Monza today.

PSA: don't quit out of Race A!

ran a couple of races and had mostly A/S rooms, which means somehow the memo about SR effect got out... but a lot of players are immediately quitting out of the race when the inevitable happens, and i'm sure they're not thinking about the SR tank in that moment.

it is an unbelievably fun race but it is chaotic. braking points are everywhere and missing them has a pretty big price lol. started p2 in race 1 and got absolutely sent to Mars on T1, and then nearly flipped myself chasing P3 on the last lap. next race i started p5 and about halfway through the race someone tried to go door-to-door on the inside before T1. unfortunately, there are tires where there are normally doors, and i was spun out both into the other car and another in front.

Have you tried the Huracan? I tried it just for fun, and ended up being quite a bit faster than with the Porsche. For a moment I thought that I had done something special by taming the beast and being decently quick with it. Then I took a look at the global leaderboard and found out that it might be the META this week...🤦‍♂️😆

I did yeah, it feels REALLY fast if you don't mess it up..............but I mess it up. It may well be the car i set my qualy time in but that's with ASM on and no way I can race with it.

Why we don't have BB to play with in this game REALLY hurts the cars that are available to me. The lift oversteer just kills me.

I sent someone to Mars. I hope that was not you though my race was mostly B with some As at the top. If it was sorry. It is going to be a fun race once we figure out racing these contraptions.
i thought we'd get Speed Racer, but as of now it looks more like Wacky Races. i think most people understand these things are tough to control, also the non-DR thing makes it impossible for me to stay mad long. the fuel weight and dirty air make for a lot of guess-work.

its just hard remembering not to quit - and theres really no reason to quit anyways, eventually some tragedy will befall the other 'contraption operators'.

edit: my third and fourth races were total disasters. i just got wrecked 3 times in the first lap - 2 were intentional (S lobby!) and 1 was possibly driver error. went last, caught a few drivers on the next lap... and then the car behind me went full on into me at T1 (at least they apologized??). guess i'll wait to see if the SR actually updates before jumping back into this. will be annoyed if i took an SR hit after all that.

Still unsure if I will do A or B this week. B hurts my hands and I can see top splits being so tight and just absolute chaos in sector 2 with dive punt after dive punt into the last corner and if you go defensive there you're a sitting duck on the "straight".

Can we got to Bathurst please PD.

Oh, forgot, sneaky potential in the Z4 if you can rotate it. It absolutely LAUNCHES out of corners like a scalded cat.

Not sure about the fact that SR is being affected being that I had ran 3 consecutive clean races and my SR had not gone up from A.
I do think it is broken and or a bug...

It wouldn't be a Monday unless I complained about hating getting used to a new track. And by "new" I just mean one that I've forgotten how to run - Daily Race B at Interlagos. Hard tires and Gr.3 are a tough mix on this track for me, and it's hard to develop a rhythm on a track with so many tight turns.

And what is it with T10 that wants to pull me off track to the left before actually making the turn? Does it lean that way? If I'm not REALLY attentive, I stick a tire in the grass, like I said, before making the sharp right-hander.

Also, using low cars like the Lambo or the Ford with bumper cam feels more like worm cam. It would make for a good horror movie - I wonder what's over that little rise ahead... [ominous music]... OMG It's... It's... A BRAKING AREA!!!

(Hyperbole is my middle name. I'm just taking a breather between doing a ton of honey-do list things - I can't get enough time to run the track for more than a handful of laps at a time.)

I had been noticing that for the past few weeks too - SR being stuck on A.

I wonder if this is best ever Race A. The Honda F1 is so much fun! I'm C/S rated and the experience is quite pleasant. Most people are crashing because of skill issue rather than intentionally, so it makes for quite a pleasant experience. I am someone who always preferred Gr3 races rather than street car races but last week's Carrera at Grand Valley and now this week's Race A has been most fun out of all 3 race choices for me.

The key to Monza is focus on exits. Every single turn it's more important to get a good exit than being last of the late brakers.

The SR increasing appears to lag behind dropping. Last week my SR lagged at B after a disastrous prior week, then suddenly on two races (10 lap races) it jumped from B to A to S.

Maybe i should let ChatGPT do the races for me and have a beer or two in the meantime...
Sure, why not. It’s already doing all of my students’ midterm papers . . .
It's not like that at all - everyone just refuses to brake for the chicane on Lap 1!

In the races I've run today, I've started P1, 2 and 3, and ended up running at the back after the chicane in every race.....

Oh, also ended up with a C SR, as a result of being rammed into other cars 😕
I had the same experiences this morning: first to worst in all my attempts. I’m afraid my SR will take a hit, but if so I’ll just run from the back, only on purpose.
the fuel weight and dirty air make for a lot of guess-work.
If only someone would invent some kind of electronic light that would let people know the car in front of you is braking . . .

Them damn kerbs at interlagos...one false move and your gone..First race tonight was a try and survive the mayhem, second was cruising in p4 coming up to the final corner, whoosh swept from right underneath me. Ended up p11. Think I'm going to stick with the Ford LM race car for this one.

Initial runs at Interlagos are...inconclusive. Would like to dip into the 1:31s but having a hard time getting into a groove on the track. It starts and stops and goes so awkwardly. In the 1:33s with the Benz and 911 and will probably just stick with the AMG here. Those triple hairpins are so difficult to tame.

I did some practice laps at Interlagos and decided not to race there this week. The track is fine to time trial on, but racing is another story. I've been dive bombed here to many times to count in the past, and I don't want to deal with it honestly. I then did some laps at Maggiore and somehow managed to get a 2:05.8XX in the Audi TT which was a surprise to me. It seems like a boring fuel saving no stop race, but I'll do a few at least.

Did my first race this week at Interlagos, with minimal Q laps. Started P6, ended P5, should have finished P4. This is already showing signs of being a much more enjoyable race for me this week, compared to my disaster of a week last week.

Right now I'm using the V12 Vantage, and I really like it. It seems pretty fast, and it can sure hold the track. Unless, of course, I find that piece of grass at T10,I mentioned in my last post:

But I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

First time racing a Gr.3 online and I'm having a great time at Interlagos. Until now I had only raced with Gr.4 and slower street cars.

1:33.604 on qualy time has been good enough for starting on the top4 today as a C/S driver. "Easy" top5 finish WHEN I'm able to not spin exiting T9. I could just take it easy at that turn, but I want to practice until I get consistent; still trying to get used to TCS off.

The Audi ain’t the meta for the race.

And it ain’t the 2 you mentioned either. The 86 is an absolute beast and you can no stop it fairly comfortably.

2 races for 2 wins so far. The TTs have no answer because they can’t be fast and no stop at the same time.
Ok, I tried the no-stop in the 86 and finished dead last with no fuel left. How did you do so well? What am I missing? I short shifted mostly on FM1 and was molasses slow.

I think I was in that race. I was busy chasing your QT and decided to run one more for the night and there you are starting in front of me.

I usually don't run C a lot but I'm really enjoying it this week. I feel like laps 1-8 is about management and consistently and the last two are a shootout.

I was running top five in B lobbies but I think I was the only B in your race. Ended up finishing where I started but I'll take that racing you guys.

Please don't lower your QT anymore. I need to figure out the last three corners and I'll be able to match you.
