@TechnoIsLove i did another race this time with a QT (nothing to set the world on fire 1.40:3)

Started pole, last chicane spun on the last lap and pipped at the line by 1/100th for 4th

The car is mega competitive but it does need concentration and using its strengths against the Lambo. Later braking, much more trail braking and coasting at a higher speed, the confidence to get on the throttle early and cleanly makes the difference on to the straights.

My car progression for race B
Lambo -> Scirocco -> TT cup

I bet the nsx is nice. Have to give it a spin (probably into the wall at yeet chicane)

Only time for 1 attempt at Daily Race C.

Pretty happy with this one.

Had my first stint on daily B. Thought my time was okay in the Huracàn but it wasn't. In the first race half the field was DR A against my DR B and I QTed a lowly 12th. I managed to gain a couple spots but still a DR lost.

I decided I need to put in some serious QT runs. Pulled out a ghost and finally figured out how to drive the Huracàn. BB 0 with really light brake pressure appears to work best for me. Also found some significant time and took .8s off my QT to get a more impressive 1.40.592.

That put me in a better position for race 2. Started in 3rd and finished in 3rd but the field was mostly SR B rated drivers with only me and one other at SR S. I was worried as accusations of dirty driving were flying around before the race in the lobby but I managed to avoid any funny business.

Race 3 I end up in a field of DR A and DR A+ starting out in 5th. Had a really good race and traded spots a couple of times but ultimately slipped one to finish 6th. Still I felt pleased against a tough lobby.

Managed to gain 6% DR points in three races. 10% more needed for DR A.... Wonder if I will get there this week? Last time I was in this position it teased me a lot; I would gain, then get knocked back. Rinse and repeat!

Final thought. I love racing softs! Makes you feel like you know what you're doing! :D

I will try some Kyoto races today. Tried some different cars for quali laps yesterday. In my opinion the NSX is no less twitchy than the Lambo, especially in the chicane. But this could also be due to the fact I am more used to the Lambo. If I can more or less match my Lambo quali time with the G70, I might try that in races because I find it generally stable. Also tried the Megane shortly, but I don't have the time to really get to know the Megane or NSX in order to drive them better. Actually the Lambo is not too bad when you handle the brakes with care before the high-speed left handers.

Last week was a blast in Atlanta, and I climbed to mid DR-B. Most of the time, the following week I drop back to low DR-B or high DR-C. However, it turned out I could maintain and even improve on Kyoto (with the Lambo). Now I'm reaching high DR-B, with DR-A in sight. The question is: double luck with the circuits, or am I really improving? Time will tell...

So, after the first free practice at Kyoto venue I'm at 1:41.370 "easy" (not really pushing, just driving clean and exploring some different lines)
I reckon to (may)be able to get to mid/high 1:39's before the weekend. Then, regardless the starting position, it will be almost just racing.

Did some Kyoto races today, wasn't disappointed. QT of 1:41:2x started me midpack most of the time. Had a podium finish after starting 5th and defending a 3th place for 3 laps or something. First time that I pull something like that off. Normally I always make a tiny mistake somewhere, or just don't close up the inside of a corner enough so someone can push through.

Also had a nice 4th place after getting hit and having to drive back from P9. Both of these races were packed with very close racing, and people that have the awareness to actually brake on time if they see that 5 other cars in front also have to make the chicane. Both races were full of DR B drivers

I also had two mixed DR A / DR B lobbies. I had to drive my ass off for 11th / 12th places finished hehe. But this was still nice.

Somewhat later in the afternoon I encountered some dirty drivers (maybe kids that get off from school?). Some people were just clearly driving into each other, and calling each other out in the chat. At some point someone just ran into me on the straight while I didn't do anything wrong to him / her before that moment. This was the cue to go do something else with my day. Maybe tomorrow some new chances! DR wise I think I gained slightly (5 or 6 top 8 finishes, a 10th and two times 13th).

I've thrown away 8 poles this week in the NSX.

This is why I'm a B driver and not A sigh.

The racing is mostly fine, the Lambo is a tricky car on this circuit so you see lots of weird lines and braking patterns and lots of drifting and running wide with it. Mostly I think they are being over driven more that dirty, what doesn't help me is the NSX brakes amazingly compared to the Lambo and those following me try to brake when I brake and that's about 200 yards too late for them.

And when they do get it stopped they literally have no traction for half a second

I actually improved my QT time in the NSX today, and 100% @newmedia_dev on the overdriving thing as I think I do this myself,

On the corners I hit properly and brake correctly in and apply slow throttle too earlier, it’s certainly faster.

I do love this track though. Struggling to get the NSX through the chicane at times but it’s much smoother overall.
