Yeah, that's enough Race A QT for today. Poor car... 😅

Of course I tempted fate.

Like I could have avoided this? 4 second penalty. Added to the 3 second penalty from the previous lap (which I actually deserved), means this race hurt.

See this is why I love these scenarios....the penalty lets me get get away with it and sadly it's your turn to take pens I should have had....

Next time I moan no doubt you will have had a clean race!!!

If it is any (and it's not a lot) went through a ghost that un ghosted as I went through it, damage and penalty...

I have a vid but can't be bothered to post it. It's on my YT somewhere

@mellofello9 I didn't even have time to come here and brag about beating your time.

It's really a different mindset now that I start from top 3. Instead of being smooth and careful racing from the back, I now see a possible win and other fast guys behind. So I push more and subsequently do more mistake.

From the 4 races I did yesterday I went off somewhere along the lap and finish equal or lower than my starting position. Best result is a 3rd
Complete fluke but thought it was kinda funny. Wanted to go race, didn't want to start cold, that happened. You're right, though, it's a LOT more relaxing breezing along at your own pace -vs- having that 'win' carrot dangling in front of you...and a pack of hungry rabbits on your bumper. Nice lap!👍

Today kinda banged up the bell curve on my 'morning racing is cleaner' scale. There was some absolute carnage on the mountain today. Had a lot of good races as I/we were able to keep most of the mayhem in the rearview so I won't complain. Most had a pack of 3-6 drivers gap the rest of the crowd so if I could hang, good times were to be had.

This wasn't one of those times. Started P3 but got blasted at the first hairpin in the woods. Maintained but the whole damn group was now in tow. Got to big bend at the bottom of the hill and it all went south...I thought we were going into the turn two-wide. I was wrong. Now I was P13.🤣

Ended P6, tho. 😁

@GrumpyOldMan like you'd have us any other way!!🤣

After picking up a 3rd win at the Ring early this morning, I might call it for the week. Always a fun time when the Green Hell is involved.

Races - 21
Wins - 3
Podium - 13
Top 5 - 15
Pole position - 5
Average start - 3.2
Average finish - 4.4

I did 2 races with no qualy time then set a 7:03:2xx which kept me toward the front of most of my races.

Racing on my US account today just for variety and I'll be honest I was taken aback on both the pace and racing quality in A lobbies, the EMEA can be a bit rough but in A or A+ / S lobbies it's pretty shocking.

How in the hell do you get to A ranked and in a line of cars think you can brake later than the person in front? To go where? There is many many cars all braking and taking the racing line.

I repeat how can you get to A level and rear end people? If you still do regularly then FML, BRAKE BEFORE THE CAR IN FRONT DOES!.

It's like playing a bunch of amateurs. In the EMEA it's just more running wide or blatant, the US ones tonight have been push to passholes

Rant over.

Edit:

To be clear have zero problems being over taken and some races aren't there for me to win. That is all cool and the nature of racing.

What has aggravated me the most is that ramming through and then not leaving space. Cool you forced a pass/rear ended me because clearly people only brake when they see lights :/

This Daily Race B that I did today more than made up for my absymal Nations cup race, I felt more relaxed and raced much better today with the MERC AMG GT3 '20 Race car. I felt very composed, a good battle with a BRZ racer and 911 racer, the V8 grumble and dynamic handling on track worked with me.

I qualifyied 3rd and managed to finish 2nd place and get a podium! Boosted rank come on yay!

Onto more winning tomorrow :D

Enjoy the pics!

Well that's me done racing for the week... Got a couple of wins on C and had mostly very good quality racing. Pity GR2 is also a one make affair - NSX needs a little tweak..

Started the week about a pixel in to A, and ended up about 75% of the way to A+. Interestingly, even finishing 12th a couple of times and my DR went up, likely due to the amount of high A+ racers taking part.

Will probably try all 3 races next week - not keen on DF reverse but it might be ok if it's GR4.

'Til next time Nurburgring, it's been a blast 🫡

These tuned road cars always deliver, here and at Tokyo last month have been some of the most fun daily races I've seen recently. I hope PD do more of these instead of their recent fad of putting a race B in there and turning off DR.

Had a lovely time in daily A at Nordschleife this week, as usual! Just wish there was a way we could somehow use our garage cars with liveries and have the tuning applied to them once joining the race. That’d make these races perfection.

That would be ideal, we can use our tuned cars for race A when they're running stock so why not the other way round too. At the very least at least let us choose colours for the cars to give a little more personalisation.

Wow, it looks like you had lots of fun. I always like how PD organizes the tuned races with a selection of cars to choose from. I wish they would do that every week in one of the sets. (A,B, or C).

It was great fun, I think anything with road cars would be nice for race A each week, whether they're tuned cars like these (as far as I know they only have this one set) or one-make races. For the week after next I would like to think they would use one of the new cars since there are 5 coming.
