Will probably spend most of my time rebuilding SR in Race B.

Race A: NSX Type R - 2:06.494 QT Spent an embarrassing amount of time not being able to find the NSX on the car selection screen, because I had gotten so used to it being blue. 😤 😅

Race B: NSX Gr.4 - 1:38.554 QT It's still early, but I thought I'd be quicker.

Race C: NSX Gr.3 - 2:19. 509 QT Stuff like this happening every now and again does not inspire confidence:

Happens a few times every Spa day. 😑

Keep cracking on mate, I think I can match my B time in the NSX so you have loads of time to gain.

Race A I'll be faster than my Porsche time in the beemer but what's the fun in that.

I'm bored of spa and I can't do 1 hour races so not my thing but id personally be aiming for a 2.16/2.17 as a minimum and that's just carrying more coasting speed and nailing the 2 straights.

I tried Spa, knowing I'm not very good with this track. Managed an 8th place and started off well, until the other drivers decided I was the punch bag for the race and knocked me down to 13th. Spent the race fighting to get back to an eventual 9th. Maybe I'm just tired from the day but that was too long a race for me. Might try again tomorrow and then leave it alone.

ok after morning fuel disaster got back in and got very wet conditions from lap5 went for IM but that was id hard with the Genesis lap 12 changed to wet and made up some time ...lesson 2 today use wets 😅 had to stop these long sessions in VR are ...🤕View attachment 1409823
I never got the chance to try the Genesis with either wet tyre. Got to the pit entrance just at the right time, as it started to rain heavily - followed a guy in and he spinned the car right in the entrance to the pit, and got stuck wedged between the walls!

I couldn't go anywhere, next thing I knew I was exited from the race, presumably from being stationary too long ☹️

It was a real shame, as a good few had already set off on another lap on dry tyres - no doubt they were in for a lap of many off track excursions.....

Today my DAILY RACE C was really good and good result overall, no rain encountered pretty dry, I bought the LEXUS RC F GT3 17 racecar. as I thoguth the GT500 version was the same. I got the ANEST IWATA racing version livery like I think Igor uses in the real series.

Had good qualfiying test runs, and started the race in 10th place. Pushed off the rolling start strong and drove very hard and pushing the Lexus to catch the many Porsches and Genesis' gaining up to 6th place. It was a bit chaotic first few laps, but I tried to stay consistent and move very fast thru the corners at Spa. By Lap 4 I was 6th place and the car was very quick not losing too much tyre wear. I really try to be careful also with fuel consumption.

Had a nice battle with a AMG GT3 Cypriot racer, but he did bump me on the last corner on Lap 6 and I spun but he stopped to allow me to recover and carry on. So I had to claw back to 5th place as a MClaren captilized on my postion. But after a few laps he then pitted it and I passed the AMG and keep going. RM Tyres was degrading but I held my positions.

Racers in positon 1st and 2nd pitted but I kept going and gained pole positon, and tried to gain 9-10secs on them, but they caught back up as I pitted on lap 11. Dropping down to 4th I then kept pushing and fighting a brit in a M6 GT3 endurance to gain back 5th, but I pushed and got past two positons and acheiveda solid 3rd place and podium!

A very good race ay Spa and kept it competitive and clean as possible could be. The Lexus is quick but needs pushing to hold it for the whole race, frugal for a racecar, but was very fun!

I've had a nice little reintroduction to Sport Mode so far this week. Focusing exclusively on Race A for now (classic combo!). Apparently my DR is high enough to place me in front of all the other non-qualifiers, behind a strong mix of A/S and B/S drivers, and as is inevitable there was a few SR A and B mixed in there for good measure.

My time away has obviously made me appreciate the subtlety of racing road cars, because my throttle and brake control just felt 'good' and i immediately settled back into the groove. The reoccurring theme of my Monday races was 'overtake the battling pack but not quick enough to still be in contention', and the best I got was a 3rd place, some 4 seconds behind the front two. Typically I was making up 5-7 places in these underwhelming lobbies, driving the Supra.

My maiden win came courtesy of two things; the decision to qualify, and the fact I was participating in the 10am slot. Quali put me 0.8s ahead of the nearest competitor, and predictably the fight unfolded in my rear view mirror, leaving me to crack on.

I'm sure as the week goes on, I'll be able to 'enjoy' not starting at the front once again once the rest of the world fine tunes their qualifying laps. Maybe I'll run some Race C's in the meantime.

Managed only 2 Spa races last night due to time constraints. No time for any proper QT, only 1 lap in the 911 at a very poor 2.20. Anyway, really enjoyed the races. Nearly shot myself in the foot in the first race as I pitted for wets a lap too early (lap 4) and burnt them down nearly 50 % in 1 lap 🤣🙈. It meant I dropped back to 15th as I had to slow right down. Luckily the rain came and cars went off all over the place and I recovered to 4th. I gambled on slicks on lap 12 and just hoped they would last 8 laps which they did and I finished 4th. Second race was not fantastic on my part. I correctly went for Intermediates while most went for full wets and I was tootling around quite happily in 3rd until my VR set decided to lock it's view at 45 degrees to the left heading down to Eau Rouge, not ideal. Stupidly I went for a reset and instead of waiting for auto drive to clear me up the kemmel straight I hit continue at the bottom of the dip....Needless to say I had a spectacular off 🤣🤣🤣🤣 dropped back to 9th and eventually finished 7th. I tried 1 QT lap in the NSX but could only manage 2.19.2 I will give the GTR a go later as it seems to be fairly stable from what I saw with others last night.

Would you want 500% for your dollar or 10 bucks? 🤣

I just find it funny as it's easier to just 10x something quickly than it is to realise the % sign is pointless 🤣

Daily B in VR close racing.

* it's so depressing that the replays are so depth free. This is not what you see in VR but this is all they give us. It's much deeper and fuller around you and the FOV is much bigger and everything in 4K with blur at the edges until you look.

Anyways, enjoy or skip some close touring car style clean racing

Hello Glen, nice video. How were the first races in VR? Are you coping well with everything? The lack of track position and later also the pit stop displays have already been mentioned. In your video I saw that you were often overtaken on the inside, was it like that before too? I'm asking because I feel the same way and I don't know if I'm making mistakes there (leaving too much space to the inside) or if I'm just too slow. I know that we're not on the same level, but it would be interesting to hear this from an expert, since I've only driven online in VR so far.

1 boring Spa this morning has the weather stay clear. Finish 15 sec behind the in front and 25 sec ahead the car behind. Lonely race.

Would be great if the pit stop was less than 40sec. With a tire delta of let's say 5 sec, we could recover from a added pit stop on wrong tires.

As of now, we are pretty much lock in our strategy.

Hey, and thank you.

With the overtakes I am deliberately leaving space because I'd prefer track position to race position at RBR. If you look at the pass on the yellow car that was lined up in T1 and executed at T2.

But honestly it was a bit about self preservation while I was learning VR and getting familiar with it.

I can beat that for boredom - finished 42 seconds behind the car in front, 32 seconds ahead of the one behind! 🤣

This race doesn't work very well without the rain.....

And I raise the pot.

Another race without rain, forget to fuel, decided to fuel save til the end. Fuel map 6 and short shift. 6 sec a lap slower. DFL. Did not do the math.

6 sec x 10 laps = 60sec
Pitstop approx 40 sec.
Should have stop a second time.

I also quit one race where these was no rain in sight and jump to Race A.

The Genesis seems to eat it's tires. My OT is pretty good (2:17.721) but My front tires fade too much in the latter half of the stint. I'm open to suggestions.

I might just roll of the dice on cars that I don't use enough. I might still gain DR and SR as long as I put it on the podium.

That does look pretty awesome glen, I can see your are find your feet still but nice clean racing and a good video showing your head movements with cars coming up on you.

I still need a new fanatec wheel, thinking of the extreme one, I might just need to get a pro/extreme/vr at some point, I feel the videos will help 👍

Has there been how much technical issues in race c? Had just one race C. At the beginning there was that "one car not moving" glitch in rolling start so 2/3 of the pack was stationary for good 20-30seconds. When the start finally happened - a stationary start from before the shikane for 2/3, my car was on reverse..😆 Well.. then came the early rain at lap 4 and I was perfectly at the pit entrance as the water started to wet the track. Was wondering if i should go full wet as some dark areas were coming in radar. WOULD have been perfect if only I wouldnt have messed up buttons and end up with NO tire change. Ok - i came back in next lap and went for interns and full tank as the full wets propably wouldnt last until the end if rain ends. "I'll be fine with interns for few wet laps". Well that few laps was about 10 laps with track moist at the 3rd bar. It just didnt start to dry even if the rain got light. Wet+puddles+interns.. yep. Pit or cope - i was done either way. I finished 11th about a lap behind the leaders.. well the 12th guy was 11laps behind with no pitstop. In a DR A lobby. Dont know what happened there. Rest was DNF. Then the grand finale. As the delay timer in result screen reached zero, the timer went away and i was stuck in the result screen with #10&#11 "still running..". After few minutes of waiting #10 went DNF, but #11 kept "running" until i closed the game from home menu. From what i checked i think i got the km, but not sure about the money..

NOT a well spend hour. Has anyone else had the software issues?

Well my gentle friends I didn't think I'd be able to do it.

But I did a thing.... I won a race in VR by 3/10s

Oh my god intense.

I have both the replay and VR gameplay. Will post them if anyone wants to see it.
