Sardegna..... My word.

Fun and frustrating.

One race I started on pole - finished 3rd, no issues at all as my race pace is nowhere near as good as my qualy pace.

Races I started 4th and 5th were an absolute shambles - first corner madness, cars hitting barriers and bouncing back into you, cars trying to go side by side when they really shouldn't etc....! But I shall continue as the fun outweighs the bad I think?

Hello! 🥳 It's been a while lol... Needed to take a break as was spending a bit too much of my free time (as little as I have nowadays) on the game and was ignoring more important things.. Oops 😂 And also didn't like the selection for the past weeks either!

Happened to be off today and saw my old friend Dragon Trail on Race B so had to take a look 😉 Did a semi-decent lap time before my first race in ages (1:46:3) which was good enough for a P8 start in a Lambo-fest, which I was a part of lol.

Sketch start as I was giving space and not being aggressive vs P7 ahead, even though he was making a lot of mistakes! I then tried to go past (which I was doing) in the chicane after Sector 1 but he tried to nudge me off a few times and almost succeeded! Hadn't it been for lucky contact with a different car going past, I would have been done for as it set my car straight again!

Anyhoo, was down to P9 but I like this track and car so knew I could regain positions if I just keep cool and in Lap 2 exactly that happened! Between crashed (also involving same donkey from lap 1) and an opportunistic overtake, I finished in P6 and happy with race one 😎

Got to say the Gr.3 on RM/RS at Sardegna A Reverse would tempt me back to sport as I like that layout and combo. However I pulled my back muscles moving furniture over the weekend (so nothing exciting) so I can only do easy driving for now - nothing competitive! Also I am temporarily back to flatscreen and not VR so that is less fun and slower as well.

Have fun racing. I'll continue to lurk..

Welcome back and awesome vid 😁

Well held onto at the top of the hill where it got a bit sweaty first lap, I’m finding that left turn before the esses the huracan just slides coming off the brakes so I’ll try the g70 tomorrow

I tried the huracan myself today, 1.48.2xx - I do like racing this track, it’s cool

Just did my first race, the Lambo is fairly awkward in VR for visibility as it doesn't have a review mirror or camera.

A lot of the tricky corners are much much easier in VR but the chicane of death is not one of them, that curb on the right hand side is a freaking lottery ticket!

I set a QT time which I was a little disappointed with but it was faster than @TechnoIsLove so that makes me happy ;)

The race was fine p6 to p5 some quick guys up the front so not fighting them.

Overall the past week has been very good to me, I had been running Race C and not Qual in 2 of my 3 accounts and in all three I now am DR B from mid C. All it took was patience, determination, TC4 with RM & TC3 with RS tyres, and some skill to avoid being taken out of play by some shifty drivers that believe it's OK to bump and run...

[Plenty of good racing this week. Like most of you guys I did not show myself in Race C.

Split between A and B and they are both lots of fun and the racing is great. Even saw Itsnotglenn in my room.

I one Race A, I got ping pong between two cars for what feel way to long. Tried to stay straight and not take out anyone.

I one Race B, there is big take out right in front of me and I genuinely laugh at it. 2 sec later, the same thing happens to me.

Plenty of fun at Kyoto, love the track and the racing there. Also got a nice photo finish.

This week races are fire. I will races all of them! See you on the track.

Race C at Sardegna is great fun, forget qualifying it's always best to start at the back and wait for the carnage to unfold in front of you to capitalise on.

Laughing so hard when people understeer into the turn 1 barrier and come to an instant stop.

Or ping ponging off the barriers and you hold your line when they're trying to rejoin, double whammy for them LOL.

Have some vegetarian wieners. Every Top Dog needs a hot dog 👍

Not sure why you guys get rattled so easily. 🫵🏼🤣

Don't make mistakes then and if you do, just laugh it off instead of being so touchy. It's just a game, have fun and relax.

Don't know why you get so offended when people rejoin the track? To the point you don't care 🤷‍♂️

Not sure why you're so chill about causing grief on other people on purpose

Of course, but it's a little different when you're playing against human players - whose idea of fun is a little bit different than yours.

If you want to ram others, either do so to the innocent GT World Series players in single player, or, with people that are also in that sort of thing. Set up a lobby for ramming, and voila.

Most players in Sport mode have something called "standards". It might be a new word to you, and in case it is, it basically means they have sportsmanship. Which you sorely lack.

Don't make me swerve by rejoining dangerously then.

I already told you, I don't go ramming everyone on purpose. I race clean until someone goes off and tries to cut me up, I'm sticking to my line, not aiming for them or ramming them. Learn the difference.

Okay, but...

What does this imply then? That you no longer race clean until someone goes wide? Yes. Learn the difference between clean and dirty.
It implies clean until the point of inevitable contact because people can't be bothered to rejoin safely, the onus is on them as in any motorsport.

Do you have eyes? Are they looking forward? Reading ahead? Maybe anticipating danger?

Or are you "holding your line"? Racing is dynamic and you have to adapt or be "that guy" I have enough processing power in reserve to "not be that guy" your mileage may vary on that it appears.

I was doing pretty well at race B, considering I started 15th, with no Q time.
I got my Ferrari up to 7th with only one turn left to go.
The Lambo decided to use me up, so he wouldn't have to lift.

A couple of years ago, I would have gone nuts, and threatened him in the post-race chat.
Today, I just shrugged my shoulders and thought "Oh well. This one just didn't work out. Hopefully, the next one is good".
Maybe this is what they're talking about in the TV ads when refer to losing your testosterone.
