Oooh, Tokyo Expressway - East Clockwise
It's been so long.

I love this race if it's in the tuned road cars!

The only race apart from TM where the Porsche actually works (doesn't QT well, but in race ❤️)

I'm not going to lie this stuff is utterly satisfying.

Context for "reasons" these are never given or explained??? Decides I'm not on his Christmas list.

I'd like to think I've raced with a lot of you and also post my videos that I have an ounce of respecting my racing.

Anyway, 1 min clip go right to the end where p5 magically (it's not magic spoiler) becomes P4

Roll the tape

I'd like to think my credibility and driving standards are fairly high in the Community and not just here on GTP. You'll never see me ram another person or not give "enough" racing room, positions come and go. Virtual points come and go as im fast for me but not the fastest.

Just really disappoints me that people act like this, even children. Just bad parenting I think. Anyways.

Race C is pretty fun this week. A track we rarely see (have we ever on a daily?) with a strat. Been enjoying it, mainly on alts using different cars... specifically the Hyundai (not Genesis X) and NSX.

This race was particularly fun; had some good battles with this Lexus and a GTR that was behind. And sometimes you have to appreciate a dang good move even when you're the recipient rather than the benefactor! I was quite impressed with this response from the Lexus (there was zero contact here).

Monday was chaotic on Race C. Race from the back cause I felt like I didn't know the track and also in hope of avoiding all the mayhem. Corners full of smoke, cars bouncing everywhere. Not gonna lie, I did my part too.

But as the week progress, we all found our mark. Low DR.A and still racing from the back, I have a decent pace but I'm always in the top split lobby which mean the best I can do is not put myself in a bad place and let the others go at it. I'm not racing alone like wet Spa, there are plenty of racing going on but I will gently stay behind a car if I don't have a clean opportunity. Same goes when a fast driver catch up, I'm not giving him the place but don't do anything stupid or desperate to keep my position either.

Once my DR. was about to drop to DR.B I got put in a full DR.B lobby right at the back. By the pitstop window I was in 5th position and saw the leader just 8 sec ahead stop to put his mandatory Medium. This is where I started to believe that maybe I could win this race. Stop for my new Soft on lap 7 and push hard to get the guys in front. Pace on Soft is 1.40.low By lap 12, the two leading cars were on sight and battling it hard. In the final sector I manage to pass them after they got theirs cars out of shape before the small straight with the penality line.

After that, I got back to top split lobby A+/A

Just did my first race, the Lambo is fairly awkward in VR for visibility as it doesn't have a review mirror or camera.

A lot of the tricky corners are much much easier in VR but the chicane of death is not one of them, that curb on the right hand side is a freaking lottery ticket!

I set a QT time which I was a little disappointed with but it was faster than @TechnoIsLove so that makes me happy ;)

The race was fine p6 to p5 some quick guys up the front so not fighting them.

"I have time on my side"

I am glad to hear it as you might need it all 😂

Played a bit with the wheel settings and I am starting to find my groove... 🤪

Time for me to join in on the fun and qualifying. Maybe I can get into the 1'46.000-1'47.000's if I choose the right car for me on Seaside. We'll see how it goes. My mom's first chemotherapy session went well yesterday, she was at the office for 5 hours. So I kind slacked off gt7 for a little while, but now it's time for me to pep up and step back in on the racing action.

4 races this morning. In three of them I hit the wall in T1 with only me to blame. The other one I manage a 5th from the back. The racing was really good all around. No lap 1 drama, single file of cars patiently waiting an opportunity. The only issue is when someone go for a move, it gets ugly.

I got caught by the penalty system for two guys fighting in turn1 :banghead: . Did my best to avoid the car only to be given a 7 sec pen.

It's official. I am really enjoying race C.

-Fresh track. I don't know how many times this layout in reverse has been used in a daily but not many (if at all).
-Two different tire compounds required means there's some strat involved with a pit stop for more than just the sake of doing one (like the stop-and-go they do often).
-It's not high-noon with blinding glare as seems to be the case so often. Race time is at dusk which adds a layer of immersion
-A lot of cars are good. Sure, the Genny X is the META and if you're in super top split that's basically all you'll see. But, I've seen people do well in the GTR, M6, Lexus, NSX, Porsche, and Lambo.

I've been enjoying the Hyundai as it's quick enough to give the big boys a hard time in a car not often seen.

It's been used a couple of times although I don't think it had the compound requirement.

Only slightly rubbing against the grain I don't like this track in either direction personally as I'd rather a real town/city circuit rather than what it is which is a city circuit with nicer scenery.

It's one of the few tracks that does work in both directions and has a sensible pit entry.

7/10 on the Glen o meter

Dragon trail is a 6 because of the TT lap starting position and the lap ruining or joy/elation/excitement of making all the sectors work. But it's a long lap and late in to it that you have the do or die.

Most of the time I don’t know why I got a 1:00 penalty. I just finished a 12 lap race (no pit required) I did one pit stop and swapped out my tires. Finished 3rd and was happy about that until I saw my penalty. Why in the hell??

12 lap race means you're talking about Race C. There is a necessary pit (which it looks like you did) as you must run both tire compounds (RM & RS). If you failed to run both compounds you'll get a 1:00 pen. I am guessing you did RS pit RS.

managed to hit my 250th win yesterday, I would have posted this sooner but a certain failed attempt saw me lead all race and not quite make the chicane in race B last lap, limping back whilst the chasing pack flew by 😁

I have to say, dragon trail has been a happy hunting ground for me this week, settling on the G70 and the 1.46.582 QT I must have won 15 races this week, great when it falls like that.

The weekend has been super clean, the highlight being starting P4 where a psn friend had pole and taking that win. I don’t how many cars disappeared from view on that chicane and me from theirs, you could never relax in the lead knowing you had to get that one right 4 times a race 🤣

Set a 1.39.6 for Race C this morning. In the morning top split with 3 A+ drivers a couples of A's mixed with fast B's, my time is only good for a top 5 start. I finish 5th in one of them but I had to climb back up from last. I finish lower than my starting position in the other two.

There was a proper dirty driver in there also to my great displeasure. The real bad one with brake checking, side sweep and divebombing madness.

So without a QT, I start last and finish around 5th. With a QT I start 5th and finish around last.:ouch: And that's why I race from the back. Wins are not on the menu anyway.

Race B: It's very satisfying taking the Chicane O' Death flat out - it would be more satisfying if I hadn't fudged up the first sector each time

I did finally get in to the .45's with a great first couple of sectors and a teeny lift in the chicane, but I'm still starting 10th to 12th in most races. Best result has been a 2nd place but have usually enjoyed good clean racing there.

@Barney Da Dog so with all the deaths 97% in to the lap I'm really good at sector 2 (1 is hit and miss as I don't take those curbs)

I tried sooooo sooo many times to take the CoD full throttle I just can't get the car to flick back enough.

And the last corner can be such a time killer.

A few wins in A/B lobbies across all the accounts.

Saying to techno earlier that the last few dalies have been a lot harder to get the times from than a lot of us normally would.

Yeah, I've not been able to get close to the front in B or C - I enjoy driving both of them but just can't the qualifying time right, In race pace I'm fairly close, but on B with 4 laps there's not much chance to make up places.

I can't see me having much success next week either - all three are a bit 'byock'.

This technique doesn't help with improving my Sector 1 split

I've had a few races today with @newmedia_dev at Dragon Trail.
In this one, he started near the front, and I started near the back.
I was working hard to catch up, because I'm not sure we've ever had a proper duel.
Anyhow, as soon as I got close, someone screwed him over, and I never got my chance to race him. :irked:
His name is "itsnotglen" in the USA racing lobbies.

That would have been such a fun race! You are faster in the Ferrari than I am in the Lambo.

I thought I deserved a little more room in that instance but it's what it is, lift off get rear ended by those caught out behind, try to race it out and risk it. He's not on my Xmas list ;)

I won the next one but dropped a split so a bit hollow.

I'd love to race properly with you at some point! You smashed great results in the ones we did!

Not the fastest line but 9.8 for styling it out 🤣
