Well that was weird. Just had my first encounter with he who shall not be named (pink car…) at Brands Hatch. Lovely guy. Saw him kill off two in front of me (to be entirely fair I didn’t see the full circumstances), but fortunately I wasn’t quick enough to catch up to him 😂. He then stopped before the finish line to gift me the win. A win’s a win I guess…!

Coupled with racing (and losing to) a professional real life racing driver earlier in the week (not sure if allowed to name?), this has been an interesting week! (Her profile read about 33 races done, won 17 and at top of B).
He is a fair racer, when they want to be. In some combos they are untouchable. The behaviour seems to swing a big way. Just race them normally and professionally. That's the only thing you can do, sometimes they will fight it other times just wipe the floor with you pace wise.

The main thing I stress is don't do silly things (you and I know and this forum know what that means)

Just drive to the race infront of you. And yes that can sometimes be a very very different type of race, but it's one in the many you'll eventually end up doing.

I had to give up, unfortunately this poxy cold has made me loose the hearing in my left ear and I'm struggling now 🙈🙈 Anyway, tomorrow brings another set of races that I probably won't do. Not a fan of GVH and race C will most likely be something stupid so will sit it out until next week. Good progress on the US account so far and I must admit it has been very clean racing for the most part 👍👍

I'm not sure if we're allowed to name names but if you're racing in European lobbies you might come across the reigning BTCC champion every now and then, it's cool to see some real racers on the game.

Hill actively plays Sport Mode? No way!

I've seen him mention GT in an interview but I figured it's the old "I own it and have played it a couple of times". That's mint.

He does, last time I saw him was the Gr3 race at Laguna Seca a couple of weeks ago in a DR B lobby, it looked like he was fixing his account from pole and I was repairing my alt from the back (I guess his was a Le Mans reset too).

Here is his Kudosprime profile from GT Sport since it's harder to find the GT7 ones: https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=2405981

That is so cool. Saw an interview with Lewis Hamilton a few years ago. He said over the holidays he races on Gran Turismo (in a way that keeps him anonymous).

I don't even know who Hill is. Anyways, I'm not racing at Suzuka anymore for the dailies and qualifying sessions. The chicane right before the finish line always gets me and then if I make the wrong move, I end up crashing into the green/red/white tire barrier. So annoying, if I had braked a few seconds sooner I wouldn't have messed up. But, what can I do?

Sorry for the delay at the beginning. I had everything semi perfect until the very end. Hence the title of the video. I got through Sector 1 in under 35 seconds, nailed the two right corners before the Bridgestone landmark, the U-turn was okay, and Degner 1 and the Spoon were really decent, but I mucked up the END!!?? I don't think the BRZ was the right car for me, it maybe for the professionals of this track, but not me. So, I guess I'm done for this week. Until next time...

Ran one race at Suzuka...that was enough, lol. Just not confident enough to go racing there. Once I'm off my groove I'm doomed. Figured I'd give Race A turn.

The 'Benz is a freakin' hoot to drive and I love Trial Mountain. I probably shoulda parked it here for the week. Some great racing to be had and kinda wish it was only Saturday. This one wasn't super special but did come down to the line. Missed it by .030:
Lookin' forward to the coming week! 👍

I've been in lobbies with him a few times too - usually during the off season. He's a true racing nut, has done some great stuff at Goodwood too - have a look on Youtube, particularly his own channel. Here's a great video of him demonstrating a 10 litre Can Am Shadow up the hill at Goodwood.

I believe he's going to Australia to demo it there too.

I noticed that @Barney Da Dog was using the BTCC winning Laser Tools car's livery on his G70 at Brands - very apt, as that's where the championshio was won!

Well I think I met someone at Brands last week that is even worse than the Pink Guy!

Utterly embarrassing driving standards - an A+ guy too. Weaving, running people wide. No punts so no penalties 🙄 He was on for a win in the last race I did at Brands last night - he pitted on lap 10 but got a 3 second pit entry penalty - which allowed the guy ahead and myself through to finish 1st and 2nd 🤣
