My prediction was correct, I said it would either be Group 1 or 2 cars at Le Mans. And PD chose the Gr. 1 class. So the races shouldn't last that long since these are high powered machines and can blow the dust off of anything on the track.

@Tidgney I'm always interested in your guides, I even use your ghost 60-70% of the time and still end up where I don't want to. See I have to pay attention closely to every detail in the lap/video.

@mellofello9 how did you tolerate Suzuka last week? The last chicane always kills my lap no matter what I do or what method/strategy I use.

Suzuka was a no-go for me last week, lol.

Ran one race and quickly realized I was in for nothing but pain if I persisted. Run was going well, moved up from P6 to P4, but put a tire off on L3. Got back on track P10 and was able to finish P8 -BUT- from the spin on I was just hammering on the controls. Figured more practice was in order but just couldn't get into it.

Hopefully it's a better week but, not gonna lie, Gr.3's at Grand Valley seems a recipe for disaster. Might try one or two to see how it goes but, as of now, I'll probably be at Race A or offline.

Have a great week!

EDIT
@brockie really do apreciate it, sir! I'm no 'MAXPOWER, but reactions like these really do make my day and can't thank you enough!!

Hello.

Another week went by.

I must say that this week was kind of balanced in a positively way.

Daily A (Trial Mountain Circuit):
The 1955 W196 is a joy to drive.
Pity that the race had only 3 laps and the rooms, were almost all, full of desperate and 'what am I doing here?' players.

Daily B (Suzuka Gr.3):
Gr.3 in any track, only with 5 laps race, usually get players trying to win at the 1st lap.
At least there were more than 4 car brands most of the time.

Daily C (Brands Hatch Gr.4):
And... Another great opportunity lost!
Why give only one set of tires? If we got hards and softs and one more click on the tire wear side,
I really believe that it could be one very good strategy combination race.
Nevertheless, not a bad combo. And the Alfa 4C 'let me check what is the faster car in the world list' players, were usually spinning and crashing by themselves.

Btw, what happened to the Gr.4 BMW M4?
On my loop choice of cars for all races, when was time to drive it, it was the only car I had to spare tires and even so,
had to chance it twice  and had to spare fuel like no other car had. Not to mention that the top speed is slower by
10 km/6 miles.
Not the first time I felt this with the M4, slower, more tire and fuel consumption. That is why no one drive it. Only me?! Haha.

Remember please, that this is only an humble personal opinion, not trying to start any kind of discussion whatsoever.

Cheers

Some advance warning, if you're 11th on the grid in race C you get maybe the worst rolling start position I've ever seen (and there are some bad ones in this game!). It starts you in the middle of the final chicane pointing in a not particularly great direction - if you aren't paying 100% attention you will be in the gravel before you've even crossed the start line.

I've had similar issue and I actually think it was something to do with the loadcell either it was funky or I just wasn't pushing hard enough so getting the understeer.

Have you checked the pedal calibrations recently as mine have reset a few times before so basically my brake acted like a trigger rather than the pedal.
Thanks, but pretty sure it wasn't the brakes. And it seems to be a transient problem, it went away completely for the next race both times. Probably won't notice if much at Le Mans this week, I've got the feedback dialled back so much to deal with the insane vibrations on the straights I can hardly feel it now.

I had the exact thing happen on my first lap of GV today after work, almost like the DD base was over heated or needed warming up. The torque felt like 25% of what it should have been.

Restart the session and it's all fine 🤷‍♂️

I'm wondering how the racing is at GV as it's not my strongest track and I'm still 1/10th off a 1.48:9 which I'm not sure how competitive that will be at a micron in to A or very top of B?

Wasn’t able to do any actual races with the Mercedes last week due to illness, but I am feeling better today. Plus, Race A looks like a genuine blast this week.

My gut says to stick with Race A this week although I am utterly useless at Road Atlanta. It feels a good car to continue learning to use a wheel.
It's one of the best to be honest.

Just a couple of wheel tips:

1. It's not the wheel that needs the most learning it's the pedals, learning to not use them like a switch/controller is where most of the pace and fun comes from.

2. Get used to being lightening fast with counter steer in the wheel, don't be afraid to instinctively yank it (while doing a little lift) to catch slides.

3. Don't be lazy with your wheel turning, it's a habit I have is that I'm too slow at turning early in my warm ups and you just end up with understeering or taking 3 stabs at the apex. Smooth is fast but that doesn't mean you need to be slow with the inputs. Just decisive.

GLHF and go forth and conquer!

Had a blast in Race A last week. Plenty of win and many many podium. I got into awesome clean and action packed races and race many clean driver. Had a nice fight with @afc5150 . It was nice to have a proper fight on track, event got a photo of it.

I also tried the Heli shot with the trick of music replay. It's a 50 sec clip but pretty much the whole was like this.

I must say that Atlanta + Miata is a wonderful combo.
Not sure about the race, as I haven't tried it, yet. I'm having a blast running Q laps.
It really seems like an old-school GT Sport race A. 👍
You must be a happy man now that race A got back to it's root. Hope to see you at Road Atlanta

Did two races in the Miata, contact must be avoid at all cost. The smallest of bump and the cart starts sliding. But really fun car to throw around.

Not sure which race I want to focus on. 😑

Race A: Roadster NR-A - 1:47.584 Fun 😬

Race B: NSX Gr.3 - 1:50.811 Penalties! Used Gallo's ghost to torture myself again 😅

Race C: Sauber Mercedes C9 - 3:16.323 Shocked by the car and driver's lack of pace 😤
