Dropped my Race C QT down to a 1:22.999 with the NSX Gr.3 and hopped into some races. My strategy was to start on RH tires, pit whenever, and finish on RMs.
Race 1: Started P5. Couldn't avoid an accident exiting Turn 3 on Lap 1, and found myself in the dirt and in last place. Did well to make up places until a solo off at Turn 9 on Lap 4. Pit at the end of Lap 7. Made up places and had a Top 10 finish in sight, but got bonked at the Corkscrew on the final lap. Finished P13.
Race 2: Started P11. Got bonked a few times under braking by a couple different people. Annoying. Pit at the end of Lap 7 again. Finished P9.
Race 3: Started P10. Got frustrated with traffic and myself, so on Lap 2, I slowed up after the Corkscrew and let a handful of cars pass. Pit at the end of Lap 6. Finished P12.
Race 4: Started P9. Misjudged my braking into Turn 2 on Lap 2, and tagged a 911, collecting a 2.0 second penalty. Kind of blanked out for a bit after that, and let everyone go past me while ghosted in 1st gear. Pit at the end of Lap 7. Finished P9
Race 5: Started P16. Bonked a 911 braking into the Corkscrew on Lap 2. Drove in a daze after that, until my pit at the end of Lap 6. Finished P12.
Embarrassing day. Finishing 60% of my races outside the Top 10 is no bueno. I don't understand what happened. I know the track, and I know the car, but my pace was woeful (rarely in the 1:23s, often in the high 1:25s). I drove around like I didn't have a brain in my head. Kept missing my braking markers. Took too many turns with other drivers playing pinball in heavy braking zones. If it wasn't for people underestimating the BRZ and/or bouncing off more sausages than Riley Reid, I'm sure I would've finished every race in last place. Shocked my DR/SR is still B/S.

I get the feeling you may have missed this.Had another crack at Suzuka but in Daily Race A, thsi race is fun but wish it helped my Dr rank as I did quite well I feel.
Started 9th, lots of spinouts and enede up a strong 4th, a french guy blocked me from getting 3rd but hey is what it is.
There's a lot of posts again recently with loads of images, and it's quite oppressive for mobile users to scroll past.
By all means post pics, but if you're doing more than two or three, please put the rest in spoiler tags for everyone's benefit.
Yes maybe, my apologies, maybe I got a bit excited to share my races, I will adjust them with the spoiler tag function.I get the feeling you may have missed this.
Welcome back from the (not your or about you) conference 🫡i'm back from my conference well not my conference the conference i attended that was not a conference about me, although oddly it was mostly about AI buzz words with design sprinkled around the edges...
i digress, important stuff Glen, i am 1 week down in not smoking after nearly 30 years.
but on to the racing or at least the lapping at the moment.
i've got back and tried the hurracan and i can tell it's quick I just don't like the way it handles at TM it behaves heavier than it is and it's AWD system struggles with me at the helm in a couple of corners. i will persevere with it for an hour or so.
i'm guessing the Veyron is still the OP car in race at the quicker paced lobbies?
can get a good 3-4 session in tonight so hoping to improve a bit across the board. might split between UK main and US account to try and race a few more forum members 👍
I wouldn't know! 😂i'm guessing the Veyron is still the OP car in race at the quicker paced lobbies?
hmmm maybe my NSX will be ok. the mazda 3 is still rapid if you can drive it right.I wouldn't know! 😂
Strangely, at my level (bottom end of B/S), I haven't seen a Veyron win yet.
A guy in the Suzuki Swift kept winning yesterday (!), today I've seen the Mazda 3, the Porsche Cayman, and a Jaguar all take wins - none of them 4wd 😯
I've just done the couple of days - finished last in most races, consequently managed to preserve my SR. But, I got caught up in a right old mess in the last race today, SR went from full S to A....
That Suzuki, was that a British guy with a light brown livery? Don’t see many of those and he’s been in my races too.I wouldn't know! 😂

I CantFor now I go +5 around the entire course, but there might be some to gain on some corners to go down to neutral, need more laps to figure it out.
Giving a bit counter steer throttle helps very much when doing +5.
Hope this is not too off topic. Taking some (long) time to work on the livery for the NSX Gr.4 for TM. I was at a good point, so I saved before taking dinner. Just to find after that something is wrong. In the icon there's the advanced job, but in reality the advancement are those saved Mondey. 😱 ar. 4 hrs work waisted. Thanks PD.

Listen to him! I also drove my best lap in the R. S. O1 (by the way, i was at the 24h)Nürburgring race, that was said to be its debut 👩🦳)For those struggling with the nervous rear of the BRZ in daily C, I strongly recommend to give the RS01 a chance.
I think it is a better choice over the 911 (for my driving style at least) because it gives some options with the pit strat.
I couldnt make a qualy time under top 1000 yet, and this has me starting between P8 and P12 in A+ lobbies.

However, Im finishing my races between P5 and P8 with an undercut strat.
With some tyre managment, you can make a 5-9 stint (Hard/Medium) and if you are not that good managing the tyres you can easily make a 6-8 stint while the BRZs are almost always fighting each other in a 7-7 strat.
Haven't seen the FWD Megane, but I notice the Megane Trophy has made an appearance in the top times, and I've seen a few in races today. The NSX has been competitive in races too, so you should be OK.pole was in the FWD megane he finished 4th but it was a very very quick lobby.
Yes, that was him - presumably all the wins he had yesterday moved him up the ratings, and he's struggled in the faster lobbies! Certainly haven't seen anybody else try it.That Suzuki, was that a British guy with a light brown livery? Don’t see many of those and he’s been in my races too.
Did you sneak a win today? I saw a Porsche win ahead of me in a bit of a chaotic race.I’ve managed a handful of podiums and two wins (high end of DR B) with the Porsche GT4 around Trial Mountain. I’ve only managed to get a ~2.00.900 out of it for qualifying but it races pretty well. I find I can out brake most cars at the bottom of mountain straight while still maintaining a nice line into the left, and it rotates very nicely through all turns.
It’s been a fun car to drive this week but I’ve not been impressed by driving standards at all. So many desperate divebombs and door slams to cars on the outside. I’ve even been pushed into the wall on the start straight to prevent me passing for the win - and this has been with most grids B,A,A+ with S driving standards. No penalties, no consequences for the aggressor. The system has really drifted in the wrong direction. So many seem to think they are owed the next position up the road, even if they can’t qualify for it or pass cleanly to earn it.
I did but I don’t recall seeing you in that race, and I’ve recognized your name recently from reading your posts here. Could have been though!Did you sneak a win today? I saw a Porsche win ahead of me in a bit of a chaotic race.
Yeah he just spun up his tyres I think, but he also had a one bar connection so the movements were quite twitchy. I used the last of my boost exiting the chicane - nice to get a win after many many crashes@Barney Da Dog So close to him putting you in the sand trap there! Lucky to survive that and get the narrowest of wins!
I rarely use the BRZ, I did use it a few times back in the ladder part of 2023 and again in early 2024. The only reason I did because I saw that a majority of the top drivers and professionals had used that to score low times within the top 500. I trusted their times but it did not work out for me, I ended up being 3-4 seconds slower, and even didn't beat my PB's during qualifying. That sucked. For those struggling with the nervous rear of the BRZ in daily C, I strongly recommend to give the RS01 a chance.

Welcome back!Hey gang! I’m back for a bit after a year off. I saw @TheNormsk last week in my first race back, but I didn’t have enough time to race. I’ve been focusing on Race A so I can get back into my groove without losing DR, but last week was brutal at Nurburgring.
This week I decided to try Race B for real. I’m barely hanging onto DR A by my fingernails, and after starting dead last in a handful of races I was committed to dropping to B for a while. But I’ve only been losing small increments, and last night I actually managed to gain some DR back despite finishing P11. I guess my score is so low that the formula is working in my favor.
But I’m stuck in lobbies with people much much faster than me, so I need to focus on qualifying some more. I got the Cayman down to 2.00.2xx and can’t drive any of the other cars, but I think I that’s my ceiling this week. The Veyron is fast on the backside, but I find that in the races they are slowing me down through the turns, especially the tunnel leading to the back straight. It’s frustrating because I can’t get around them, and then they pull away. So no climbing up the ranks for me.
Anyway, there are some new faces here who I’ll try to remember to look for when I’m racing. Say hi back!
