@TheNormsk @Bullwinkle

It may seem somewhat obvious, but relaxing about your ranking is for me the best way to keep enjoying this game. I got pulled back from the brink a few weeks back when had lost all motivation to play Sport Mode. At least Race A is a somewhat safe place to not out-rank yourself with a favourable combination, albeit with a risk of DR-reset thanks to falling SR. Personally, the Super Formula races since Wednesday have been stellar for cleanliness, no small thanks to improving my quali considerably.

There are some very impressive replays in my Showcase

It's an interesting dynamic this week, I did a few As to recover SR starting in my 2000 Benetton, my driving was fine, going from the back really cautious just happy to bring it home.

Nope those A races decimated my SR horrifically and the only contact was with spinners rejoining.

B is a precession quite honestly, in consistent lobbies the veyron is quick but it's slow at the same time so you just end up in a line, I've done Lamo, GTR and NSX and Veyron tonight and honestly if the gearing was different in the Veyron it would be absolutely useless.

Anyways just rambling. Stay safe and race well racers

Edit to change DR to SR for accurate context.

I’ve been finding in race B that it’s hard to tell if a veyron is really quick, for them to hold on to it for a whole race is a lot harder than me holding onto my Lambo or the other awd out there

I’m repairing my sr at the moment because one said veyron driver who was 2 secs clear of me and made a mistake and wouldn’t let me pass 🤨

Anyway one thing led ti another and that was the end of both of our races!

When will I learn!!

I wouldn't know! 😂

Strangely, at my level (bottom end of B/S), I haven't seen a Veyron win yet.

A guy in the Suzuki Swift kept winning yesterday (!), today I've seen the Mazda 3, the Porsche Cayman, and a Jaguar all take wins - none of them 4wd 😯

I've just done the couple of days - finished last in most races, consequently managed to preserve my SR. But, I got caught up in a right old mess in the last race today, SR went from full S to A....

Don’t think I’ve ever see a Swift win! Great stuff.

I agree. I don’t worry about it now. That’s actually the reason my rating has took a hit was that I had a terrible week at Watkins Glen the other week, but I kept at it.

This week, I’m busy and it just doesn’t appeal. I like Trial Mountain in reverse but I’m not a fan in the regular direction.

SF at Suzuka. I’ll save that one for the TT. Don’t even remember what the other one is.

I want a one make Unimog race that can be tuned to a certain PP. Now that would be different!

I won a race at Suzuka yesterday, without crossing the line in 1st, the leader should be fuming!

Those PP tuning races never seem to work on this game for the dailies. The last one we had was the Jiimny which was broken by the engine swaps, you could have 200 bhp more than the car starting besides you on the grid and if they weren't an high enough level they pretty much had to sit out the whole week.

Maybe the Unimog would be fairer since it doesn't have that option until at least the next update but it would put everyone on the same playing field if they raced them stock, at SSRX 😏

How’s everyone’s Sunday racing going?

I decided to jump into the Bugatti today and put some laps into it because I was feeling cheated this week, had a good QT, top end of BS and should’ve jumped into AS but this French car has been my nemesis.

Man once you jump into that car boy are you a marked man!
I had a great week at TM and my efforts at Laguna Seca, were... Only efforts.
I have a question, that has the same spirit, as the oil change question, which we all finally agreed upon, that it makes a difference 🤭
When i buy new Rims for Gr. 4 cars, i sometimes can choose the diameter size, sometimes from 16" to 20". In reality driving at the limit with not much rubber to "balg"(?) felt a bit like driving a FF car and bouncier. But in the game, i don't suspect a difference in performance,. Anyone knows ir better?

I am since Wednesday coming to races with a 2.01.894(gtr) and starting top 7 with 3-5 DR B SR B-D in front of me. The great thing about DR C is, that i can use the veyron, gt-r, Slophy, g70, 456, Hurra can, evo, wrx, porsche, nsx.... U get what i mean.

Why the hate against the Bugatti? I really love, that they put it in the game and it is not that much faster on straights, might seems like it, because it comes out of corners slower, followed by a mighty push forward. But i guess you all chose it for a race? What a hussei to not hit any barrier 🥵" it ain't much, but it's honest work"

I've seen this happen before. Only thing I can think of is netcode, which seems to be the default for when something crazy happens in the game that there is no other real explanation for. I've also heard (mainly from talking heads so HUGE grain of salt) that GT doesn't end a lap when the front of the car crosses the line, rather driver or center-plane of the car or some other noise that no one can seem to prove.

Also seen a couple instances where, while live, the position tree will swap drivers just before they finish but then swap back after the race. Meaning, John Doe is P2 and Jane Doe is P3 during a drag race to the finish; you'll see Jane take P2 on the tree just before the end but then be back in P3 during the final position screen.

You can see it below where it was a drag race to the line, and you can see on the tree that we swapped places right at the end, but swapped back for the final. Replay would confirm I did finish ahead (by half the front splitter) and the .001" delta seemed quite accurate.

Time stamped for the last lap as it was a fun one of some back-and-forth:

That looked like a good finish at the Red Bull Ring 🔥

I've seen these happen a few times and always assumed netcode but the other player shared his replay and it looked identical to mine, there must be some kind of technical reason why it happens but I'm far too thick to understand 🤪

Tried the 4C at Laguna. Found it much easier to get the nose into the apex of all those sausage kerbs, which is crucial to getting a good exit and not ending up in the dirt. Very little if any understeer (unlike the RSR). But I was a second a lap slower than in the Porsche (I assume because the 4C’s underpowered).

Shame as it’s much nicer to drive!

Not hate buddy, and since I did choose the Bugatti I had plenty of wins but it’s just that the car is too overpowered

Fine if everyone is racing it but when your are up against it it’s hell

Wasn't going too well yesterday - starting about 12th, and finishing in about the same position.

First race today saw me finally take the drop to DR C, first race as a C put me P4 at the start, finished P1!! It's amazing how much ability difference there is between the bottom of B and the top of C.

Anyway, 2 P6 starts, P4 finishes put me back up to DR B, so not a bad Sunday all in all 😊
